How do you know that the system was empty ? Just by watching the gauge ?

On the gauge it’ll tell you if it’s low and the needle will climb as you pump it
Needing two cans, I'd worry it also leaked oil and needs oil. I think some cans of refrigerant includes oil is my recollection.
okay, so before I touched anything /added anything, my gauge read 105 psi.

My 01 focus. When I pump freon into the low port. It blows right back out the same low port into my hand.
And it does have the Schroeder valve inside it..
Don't do this yourself. Odds are you'll cause much more damage - just Google it and read about it
