She's spot on, Sabbath is HEAVILY jazz and blues influenced.
Anyone told you different is crazy.
I heard satan influenced them along with hardcore drugs ? At least thats what the pmrc told me ........
@@mikehamilton646 🤣🤣🤣🤣
BINGO!
THEN IM CRAZY!!!🤘🤘
I know, people are just wrong, this one the solo is blues based for sure, the main riff is heavy rock and the outro is classical. They were influenced by all kinds of music and it shows!
If you haven’t heard it yet check out Megalomania from this same album. Criminally underrated track.
THRILL OF IT ALL has that kick-ass riff that plays against Bill's drum groove!
Utube are you a good person by living waters
The whole Sabbotage album is brilliant. It's my favorite Sabbath album. So angry.
INTO THE VOID by Black Sabbath is definitely one of their very best songs.
Light this one up T. It would be on my request list too
Totally agree Into the Void. Have the lyrics handy also.
@@mikeg.4211 What about 'never say die'🤣
Adventures of TNT is f'in awesome!
Long live THE METAL GOD AND GODDESSES!
BLACK SABBATH WOULD BE PROUD TO HAVE YOU AS THEIR FANS!
Tasha near the end, "they're very bluesy" - very much so. And jazz too, at least in the beat, and definitely Bill ward's drums"So well done you guys, and LOVED getting you honest reaction & musical talk & appreciation.
Black Sabbath is one of the best bands of all time!!!
I love how at 05:30 at the "Woman-child of love's creation..." Tasha starts swaying as if acting out the part, not even knowing the lyrics, just feelin' it. That's so spontaneously perfect. And she's not wrong about feeling the blues in their sound as they started as a 12 bar blues band called Earth.
Everything you two said was right on the money 🎶 🔥
Great song from a great album my favourite Black Sabbath album.
This Song Is Dope. Sabotage Is My Favorite Black Sabbath Album And So Underrated. I Think Sometimes Regular Black Sabbath Fan Never Even Listens To This Amazing Album.
Black Sabbath started out as a heavy blues / jazz band who wrote "scary" music. Their debut album is very bluesy. In fact, if you like blues you should totally check out the track "Warning" from that first album. Their second album had the trippy "Planet Caravan" and Bill Ward's acoustic drum jam "Rat Salad". Master of Reality had several chill acoustic interludes. All of their 1970s albums had really pretty songs mixed in with the heaviness.
I had a debate with someone who i sister that metal did not have it's roots in African-American music. I guess he never realized that metal derives from the Blues. He should listen to Sabbath.
I have never heard this! Wow where the hell have I been?! Great vid as always you 2
This is how reactions are supposed to be done and huge sabbath fan as well
Bill Ward's Drum's and Geezer Butler's Bass and The Guitar Riff's of Tony Iommi and Ozzy's Voice !!! Man Fantastic !!! The Sabotage Album Released in July 1975 !!!
Sabbath were not just a heavy rock band they where game changes they shaped music forever they made kids say I wanna be a rock star fucking excellent band ❤️
Great song! The second half is such a departure from "metal" which Sabbath often is associated with. It is funky, bluesy, jazzy; very exotic sounding. Awesome arranging and songwriting here man.
Tony never thought that were metal
@@mikekeeler6362 Indeed. I've seen in interviews where he and Ozzy both say "we were hard rock". They didn't even like the label "metal". I suppose I shouldn't have mentioned metal, and called it what it really was: hard rock. That's what I and all my mates called it back in the 70s.
@@spazimdam that lable came around in the 80 by some Dj
@@mikekeeler6362 I knew some fool had to have started it
ozzy's vocals are at his best on this record very throaty
Sabotage is an incredible album i mean they all are but for me this one is my fave
I won't ever stop listening to the music I grew up with. BUT, because they stopped making my favorite rock ( ass kicking southern rock and heavy metal ) I have been listening to more modern day country music because it's the new southern rock. BUT I still jump on the old favorites from my childhood.
You aint wrong Sistah. At their essence Sabbath is a Heavy Blues band which is exactly how Sabbath came to life.
In 1975 nothing like this had every been recorded. Thank you Tony Iommi 🎸.
Yes Yes this is the proper version well done. Love the reaction!
Black Sabbath can take two, seemingly different melodies, and mesh them into one complete song. They do it so well with so many of there songs. You can't get the full feel for the song just by listening to the first minute of a Black Sabbath song; you need to listen to the entire song and then make a judgement. Really enjoyed your video! Thumbs Up! I'm a big fan of Black Sabbath and Ozzy!
Bill Ward just kills it. He is GREAT!
1975 is when this song was released on the Sabotage album. Electric Funeral is a great one.
You can't help moving to this song.
If you like that one you're going to love, Into The Void... Mind blowing...
You finally got around to my favourite Sabbath song. I bought this on purple vinyl when I it first got released as a single.
Love the way your wife grooves to the music. You are blessed, my man. God bless.
After almost 40 years, I STILL get goosebumps when the second half of the song starts......!!!
Snowblind is my favorite Sabbath tune!
The magic of real rock& roll, is surprising & unexpected. & Kind of , how do they do that.
A great song after this would be "The Thrill of It All". Sabbath does Funk.
You really want to hear Sabbath ? Look for a band called " EARTH ". That's pre - Sabbath before they changed their name . You see , Sabbath started off as a blues band with Hendrix & Cream being their huge influences . Even in this one album you can already hear Sabbath riffs & licks . 🤙
"Looking for Today" and "Spiral Architect' from Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was a new 'awakening' if you could say.....very more emotional and musical Sabbath...just couldn't stop listening when I heard them 30 years ago....Ozzy just singing so good on these tracks it really is a joy to listen to them now.
As a friend of mine said...you could drill through Concert with that RIFF....cheers
A great example of why Black Sabbath is so important to rock music. They very likely created heavy metal AND thrash.
Really enjoy watching you and your wife react to all the great music your discovering. I am 61 years old and grew up in Southern California listening to all these bands your discovering like Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, and alike ; You two need to lay " I'll take care of you" which is a phenomenal blues done by Joe Bonamassa with Beth Hart on Vocals. I GUARANTEE you will both be blown away. There's a live version on youtube. Keep discovering the music of our past; and by the way HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Check "Junior Eyes" or "Air dance" if yoy wanna be surprized . It was a very creative band.
You need to check out more of Sabotage, my personal favorite Sabbath album
Savatage? 😁

Hand of doom
This is my second favorite Sabbath song. The song immediately after it, Megalomania, is my #1.
I might agree with you from ozzy period.
Their song "After Forever" is Black Sabbath version of a Gospel song .
Tasha is correct about the Bluesy! Black Sabbath has very deep roots in blues and Iommi is a master of pentatonic scales. So even if Sabbath is the beginning of metal so to say, it doesn't mean that they aren't bluesy. Here are some Black Sabbath recommendations: A National Acrobat, Fairies Wear Boots, Snowblind, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sabra Cadabra, Hand of Doom, The Writ, Junior's Eyes, Megalomania, Into the Void, Lord of This World, and Sweet Leaf.
Laguna Sunrise -- Changes--Shes Gone and You Wont Change Me are more on the soft side ......Ozzy Solo ,,High Flying Again is well worth a reaction because of Randy Rhodes style that he puts in it.
Bill Ward the unsung hero of this song. My favorite Sabbath song.
One of the greatest rock drummers ever.
While the Ozzy and Dio eras of Sabbath are the most iconic, don't sleep on the Ian Gillian and Tony Martin eras. A few songs:
"Zero The Hero"
"Trashed"
"Devil & Daughter"
"Valhalla"
"Heaven In Black"
Another Words, You Take The BLUES AWAY, Metal Couldn't Possibly BE!!
Check out thrill of it all by black sabbath. Ozzy's vocals are amazing
the best ozzy's songs (vocal) are:
sweet leaf, the writ, sabbath bloody sabbath, and couple of others that i just didnt remember :P
IMO
Tony Iommi (lead guitar) is the genius who wrote all of their music, and who invented metal, doom and thrash. He teamed up with bass player Geezer Butler, who he had great chemistry with, and who wrote the lyrics. I suggest Into the Void, Children of the Grave, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Air Dance (for some actual metal jazz).
❤️
Bill Wards drumming here is a good primer before trying to dissect his drum solo from an earlier effort called Rat Salad.
Bill Ward killing it 🤘
Tasha, you are exactly correct, Sabbath is based in the blues (as is most rock and roll). They just bring it to another level. Nice reaction!
Might I suggest taking a 14 minute trip through the amazingness of A bit of finger/Sleeping village/Warning?
You know what? F it, just fire up the b side of the debut album and roll with Evil woman(Crow cover) Sleeping village/Warning(Warning was a ansley dunbar song from '67. awesome in it's own right).
Evil woman isn't on the north american album, it was replaced by wicked world.
In all honesty, the sabbath songs you should check out are all of them.
Lol
@@TheAdventuresofTNT wicked world is great too! warning, wicked world - bluesy numbers
i highly recommend (if you like wicked world/warning) to check out some of their live songs from 69 that were never recorded/released on the LP:
the blue coat man (performed also at Lausanne Electric Circus, '70) & let me love you baby
The greatest album of all time, and severely under-rated :)
And back when Ozzy could sing, which hasn't happened for over 30 years lol
OH SO LOVE THIS!! Thanks SOOOOOO MUCH FOR THAT!! YOU ROCK MY 59 YEAR OLD SOCKS RIGHT THE F__< OFF!! LOVED YOUR REACTION TO THIS PIECE OF METAL ARTWORK!!
I remember when this album came with 4 free hits of Acid lol.
Yes Tasha, they do have a lot of blues influence in their music. Like a lot of English bands/artists, they LOVED blues music because at one point, it was easier to get American blues records than American rock n roll records. Plus American blues artists toured England a lot back in the 50's & 60's but rock n roll artists not so much. Great reaction. 🤘Rock On!🤘
It's wonderful this great music can cross all boundaries.... these great 70's bands were meant to be enjoyed by everyone... glad you're enjoying the exploration trip into your own mind too... just wait until you get to YES, ELP, and King Crimson. All this wonderful music is very organic... truer to your heart...
My top Black Sabbath albums are Born Again and Tyr. Live Evil has to be up there too.
right at the last I thought I was listening to Santana.💚♫
Great song and video! Kinda wish you hadn't heard it before her but still awesome guys
Sabotaje" junto al "Sabbath Bloddy Sabbath" lo mejor del Black Sabbath
It's songs like this and many other Sabbath songs why they are considered the godfathers of heavy metal. They took blues and jazz added Tony Iommi's doomy guitar sound and style added in Ozzy's very unique singing and came up with something so different for its era. I first heard Sabbath in 1970 and they are still my favorite band. Their first 6 albums are flawless.
Cool tune. Black Sabbath originally began as a blues band. I love their grooves with blues and funk style elements.
I love you guys...how you react!! 🤟 Sabbath rules!
You should check out the dates. Like this hit I believe came out in the mid 70s but you will find out how much this band had an influence on many heavy metal bands, but ya ! You be amazed war pigs 1970
Another great band with the loud sounds is Judas Priest their song Screaming for Vengeance comes to mind.
8:11 she also might like Laguna Sunrise :))
Sweet leaf next!!!
This is from the Sabotage, they where angry and wanted to make an album that was departure from Sabbath Bloody Sabbbath. This song is laid out the road for so many Metallica riffs. Black Sabbath makes it a point to change up the tempo and take you in different directions. Best part of the video is your wife dancing during the acoustic section--I had to take my blood pressure medication and grab a box of tissues.
When they switched up midway and your wife did that dance. That is what real music does guys.
Hell yea!!!! Most men don’t realize the importance of having “The playlist”. Lol
@@TheAdventuresofTNT lol for sure
You got it wright girl, really great reaction my friends❤️
and you guys don't give off this kind of energy doing a hip hop reaction.luv u guys
Reacting rock and metal is completely different to music that we've been listening to for years. Although, our reactions may be slightly different we still put the same energy in when analyzing and breaking down music we like.
This song is from their album titled Sabotage. Many other great tracks off this killer album like "The Writ". Maybe someone will request it.. Peace...
Damn bro your content is awesome as always and your Lady is fine as aged wine, Daauum!.. Kudos!
Lord of this world,Thrill of it all - Sabbath with Ozzy/ Falling off the edge of the world,Sign of the southern cross-Sabbath with Dio/Diary of a madman,Revelation mother earth-Ozzy solo with Randy Rhoads.6 underated gems.
The sympthom of outstanding music:
🤯 Lol
You should listen to the "Born Again" album. Listen to the song called "The Dark/Zero the Hero". This singer is from Deep Purple, he only did this one album but that song is the best one there, so if you want your mind to be blown, then this is the song that will do it....it did it to me.....enjoy
BLACK SABBATH, LED ZEPPELIN, PINK FLOYD, THE DOORS. THE BIG 4 OF HARD ROCK.
Ozzy's first solo live album (The first one he released anyway) is called Speak of the Devil, on which he opens his set with a really kick ass version of this song.
Meanwhile, Sabotage (which is where this song originally comes from) is one of their most underrated albums. Symptom of the Universe is the only song off it that they ever play out, but other outstanding tracks are "Hole in the Sky", "Thrill Of It All", "Megalomaina" and "The Writ".
His voiced changed a bit since N.I.B., eh? Amazing.
This reaction channel is my favorite! More Opeth please!
Drum fill wise, one of the toughest songs to play. Bill Ward is my favorite no matter who is more technical. Props for my man who was clearly into this. If you could only know what it felt like to experience this at 14 - no matter the year or decade, just to hear this when you are young enough to have it branded into your DNA. I feel very lucky for that. This was Ozzy's prime for vocal range, power and clearness. One of the best guitars sounds ever - and Geezer is Geezer. He never needed to improve because he was always so good, but the other 3 kept rising and rising right up to the (1978) end, as far as I'm concerned.
Bill ward s drum amazing
Bill Ward " El Pulpo" es un Icono en la batería junto a John Bonham
This is gold 👍
How Sabbath started Thrash metal. So good.
Acually it was Queen with Stone Cold Crazy in 74'
ikr it sounds very much like Megadeth, even Ozzy resembles Dave Mustaine´s tone in this song imo
@@cheesyrider6914 I'd say Stone Cold Crazy was more hard rock than proto-thrash. Metallica did cover it but they also covered the Irish folk/drinking song Whiskey in the Jar so... ;)
Riiiiiiight ?
Y’all should also react to the sepultura cover of this song
I love this song, this is Black Sabbath taking inspiration from the early punk scene,Ozzy was friends with the Sex Pistols
Sabotage was released in 1975. Btw, if you want to hear an awesome ballad that Ozzy sings with Sabbath listen to a tune called "SHE'S GONE" off of the Technical Ecstasy album.
As good as it gets!
Hand of Doom is another epic song . Please consider
More Song's From The Sabotage Album, The Thrill of It All, Hole In The Sky !!!
Black sabbath la mejor de todos los tiempos. O-o, g-b, b-w, t-i. Los 4 fantasticos! under the sun... , a national acrobat, warning... todas sus canciones son increibles.
You and your wife do really good videos, keep it up.
hahaha I see this. This girl is on trial. If she doesn't like this awesome song she is OUT!
Love the genie dance
neon nights
the second half of this song reminds me of zeppelin
Hell yea! I mentioned that in my initial reaction to this song in another video.
