What is your favourite Star Wars deleted scene? 👇🔥
I love the rotj scene where luke builds his saber
Lord Vader in Return of the Jedi being turned away by Jerjerrod, who is then force choked, brilliant.
The scenes of Luke interaction with Biggs, Camie and Fixer.
My favorite deleted scene was the additional Bunta eve race
0:55 If Qui Gon threw his saber at the probe droid and hit it, that scene would've made it into the movie. It got too close to them without shooting at them. They get close enough to hit in that scene in *Rebels,* but they are attacking Sabine and Ezra. The best thing about deleted scenes is realizing why they got cut and what we would have done differently.
Just like George should have kept Luke and Biggs farewell on tattoine for better context when Biggs show's up later.
I love “The Phantom Menace”. Always have since I first saw it in theaters way back when. I think an Extended Edition of the prequel trilogy would do very well.
💯 agree on this with ya.. just like the LOTR did its service, this would do this ones
So did I Mat..it was superb.
Think about padme funeral scene. Lucas deleted parts of her visit to her family on Naboo from AOTC. Should have kept those in.
Never seen the Probe Droid getting slashed by Qui-Gon before, Thanks.
Won't deny it. I still love the deleted scene with Padme and her family . Anakin meets them and sees her family home... that should've been kept .. so many scenes made the prequels my beloved set and I grew up in the OG .. so that's a lot to say... Great work on this Meg... ❤❤❤
I can remember seeing this probe droid scene in the story-board book of the PM.
For the movie I envisioned Qui Gon jumping into the air, spinning around and slicing the droid down.
I was walking through a store one day and saw Jimmy Smits. I see a lot of people all the time, but that might have been one of the few times that I was a little starstruck.
My favorite deleted scene is Anakin meeting Padme's family in Attack of the Clones (plus R2 playing with those kids). It's different from a lot of scenes in Star Wars, people in daily life. Plus the house they're in is neat.
I wish the wampas invading Echo Base subplot had been finished and put into The Empire Strikes Back. C3PO got to be the hero when he ripped the warning sign off of the door!
I agree. The first draft of "Empire" (Leigh Brackett) has a scene--never filmed--of Chewbacca fighting a wampa, and the wampa even dwarfs him. It's also explained that the wampas are trying to protect their home.
Great content! Really love the commentary you brought forth to these scenes.
Thank you, Meg!
Extremely well put together!
Question... Why do you think there are so many Star Wars "Haters"? I mean, we all have our dislikes... and wishes... but YOU seem to be one of the best to point out the pros and cons... give your opinion without ruining or just trying to stir CZcams clicks of controversy.
In regards to your most recent post. YES... I, too, wish that scene mentioned was left in. Kind of like the part where in Solo... they left the scene where Solo crashed a Tie fighter into Star Destroyer hanger bay it was deleted.
But I felt oh wow! This tells us so much... but oh well... maybe they will put it back in.
Anyway... thanks for all you bring to our attention.
Good content Meg. I do like checking out deleted scenes or behind the scenes stuff.
Some of these clips are new to me. I remember when I saw episode 3 in theaters when it first released, the ending we saw actually didn't end with Obi-wan handing off Luke to Owen and Beru, but also included the since deleted scene of Yoda landing on Dagobah. I hadn't watched it for awhile then watched it with my youngest teen recently, and was surprised not to find the Yoda scene at the end. I thought it added more to connecting the prequels to the original trilogy over removing that short Yoda scene.
Wow Meg, what an amazing video really enjoyed seeing the missing parts and seeing how they would of changed the movie, thank you SWM
Thanks Meg! You Silly Sausage!
Thanks Meg! 🙏🏼
This is amazing and make more sense keep up the good work
Great vid meg 💜
Thanks Meg 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great video and with the legend Inosanto! Much respect!
good work Meg🎉
Actually the reason Darth Maul is just standing there in the desert is that he did jump on the ramp but Qui- gon cut it calling him to fall back on the ground.
pretty sure this scene is included in the 4K Skywalker saga box set.
I wish next year we will get the 4 hour RotS cut😃
Love your intel
Yes Meg I’ve scene all those deleted scenes and all the others but it was good hearing your opinions of them.
Have you read the early draft of The Phantom Menace? It was originally titled “The Beginning” and Obi-Wan was already a Jedi Knight about thirty years old and it was he who found and rescued Anakin because Qui-Gon doesn’t show up until much later. Anakin was aged up as well to a horny teenager who was not shy about how he felt about Padme.
Kenobi and the other Jedi wore black uniforms like Luke in Return of the Jedi which was first introduced in a Star Wars Marvel Comic flashback scene when someone is telling Luke about Kenobi’s time as a Jedi during the Clone Wars and showed him wearing the black uniform. The only reason Kenobi was wearing brown robes was because he went undercover as a Tatooine moisture farmer when he was there and found Anakin. I remember when seeing my first news article about The Phantom Menace that had photos of the Jedi and I was wondering why they were dressed as moisture farmers.
There are many more differences which to me would’ve made a much better movie.
It's refreshing to see your love for the prequels
i think I've seen these deleted scenes on disney+ but this video is still cool to see.
Like you, I would've liked to see the scene between Padme and Obi-Wan in the film. I always wondered how he could not see the growing affair between Anakin and Padme. Or why he ignored their relationship. The scene would've clarified the whole situation. Bad call by George
A good one to cover are the (now deleted) scenes that were added to the DVD edition, but since been culled, including more introduction of Podracers like Ratts Tyrell's family and also the salvage droids picking up the podracer debris. It's amazing stuff that was added, then taken back out since.
I wonder if George Lucas was still in charge would he make an extended version to add some of the deleted scenes like he did with the original trilogy? I love to see these deleted scenes! Thank you!
Star wars megs deep dives. I love listening to people who are obsessed with a story go into detail that most fans wouldn't even notice
your narration skills have improved immensely in the past couple of years. also using a lightsaber in the desert sun must be punishingly hot...lol
I wish they would’ve put some of these scenes back in the rerelease.
That Rodian is not Greedo... lol
The group of senators meeting in Ep 3 is the scene I wish was left in the most. The seeds of the future rebellion, would have been great.
I have heard the rumors & In sure you did too that there is a 3 hour cut of Ep 3. I hope that gets released next year.
Very cool. It makes sense now.
I think I remember the first deleted scene from the bonus features of the DVD we purchased!
I wish he kept in more of the political drama in the prequels
My favorite delete scene is the one in padme's house in episode 2
I loved the look at Episode 1
There was a pretty awesome chapter in the novelization of TPM where Watto sends Anakin to meet some Jawas to acquire some droids for the shop. They are walking a long distance in the desert night when they encounter a mortally injured tusken raider who fell from a cliff to the road and was dying of dehydration. Anakin stays near the raider giving it water and emotional support. At dusk the dying tusken raider is claimed by it's tribe and they leave with him quietly allowing Anakin safe passage.
It really makes me curious on why we didn’t get a deleted scene where Maul reported to his Master about young Anakin? Triggering Sidious’ interest in seducing him to the Dark Side?
1:52 Should've kept it..
Don't forget an Anniversary Edition, of Attack Of The Clones, Episode 2....
I've seen this many years ago... you're new to this
Yes, I'm pretty sure quite a few have seen that scene before but for those who hasn't it sure is a gem. The scene was included in the original TPM 2001 DVD set as part of the deleted scene "Farewell to Jira". Another four deleted scenes ("The Waterfall Sequence", "The Airtaxi Sequence", "Dawn Before the Race" and "Anakin's Scuffle with Greedo") and two extended scenes ("The Complete Podrace Grid Sequence" and "Extended Podrace Lap Two") had the visual effects finished and were included on the second disc.
I do think that particular sequence should've been left in.
I've actually never watched any deleted scenes from the other 6, not even sure where to find them, Disney+ I would assume, my DVDs are still sealed.
There are a hand full of deleted scenes from both movies that should have been left in and would have explained a ton of things that happened from The Phantom Menace, all the way through the entire Original Trilogy. Even just 2-5 minute scenes might be able to explain more than an episode from a TV show could.
Maybe Anakin didn’t turn into Vader, maybe he was always Vader as he always had anger in him.
Oh, you silly sausage! 😂
He should have had a close up and say run then have the cut to that scene
i saw this movie 2 weeks ago in lreland everybody in the theatre clapped at the end of the movie
Meg you silly sausage 😂😂😂
Kenobi never visited that junk shop. I'm glad they removed that scene.
Also, the "angel" that Anakin spoke of is in one of the Clone Wars episodes.
If only Obi told Ani he knew about the two and that he would neveer betray him.
Is there an extended version?
I wish Disney would release the theatrical cut of TPM. The only way to watch it is the Laser Disk from Japan. A very different edit of the pod race and the Jedi battle against Maul.
Lucas most likely cut the Obi-Wan/Padme scene because it exposed the hypocrisy of the Jedi Code. It also made Obi-Wan look complicit in the secret affair and cover-up.
This was in the original theatrical version.
Everyone has their starwars experience, moments that made them go😮😂😢😠🤔🥳etc
I edited my copy of The Phantom Menace to include the deleted scenes.
I don't believe that Disney can release any of the deleted scenes from 1 - 6. It was part of the sale contract between Lucas and Disney.
Han shoots first should have been left as it was as well.
If they do put ROTS back in cimemas I'll be there daily!😊
Utidiiiiiii ❤🎉😂
These are on the DVDS
How about rereleasing Episode 2 before Episode 3
Look up Nick Gillard and watch the full fight / deleted fight scenes for The Phantom Menace :P
If you own DVD Blu-ray and a big fan, of course you have already seen these cut scenes many times 😊😚🤨😩🙄..❤
Omg they killed shaak ti. You bastards.
Couodve just done made organa his cousin or make that his dad or something
Meg, you silly sausage.. is silly sausage a Welsh term? Please tell me bc it's important
The entire sequel trilogy should have been a deleted scene......
Indeed.
boo
I disagree
lol I was going to say that
Definitely should be deleted lol
Kind of an odd scene. Could have been anyone’s droid.
Greedo shot first!
I still cat believe the 20th of aotc went by with no respect given.
Fuck 🤦🏻♂️ should have deleted a jar jar scene instead.
Not only was the first conversation clip at Padme's residence important in establishing the current state of the friendship between the three, it also set up an important change in Anakin's trust of both characters after his presence per Palpatine's request at the meeting of the delegation of 2000. After the delegation leaves his office, Palpatine begins to manipulate Anakin by claiming that Padme is hiding something. Anakin then claims that he senses no betrayal in Senator Amidala to which Palpatine replies that "it is betrayal by those we are closest to which is the hardest to see coming".
He then tells Anakin that there is a rumor going around that Senator Amidala is spending inappropriate personal time with a member of the Jedi Council, leading Anakin by the nose to conclude that the Council member in question is Obi Wan. This marks the beginning of a downward spiral between the two Jedi.
The prequels are the best of all Star Wars movies…!!!
Of course Han shot first. If Han hadn't shot first he probably would've been killed & the entire movie series would have been different. In what universe would you let the bad guy shoot first? (The universe in which you get shot by the bad guy, perhaps?)
Han shot, period
Love Meg but am I the only one who skips past the intro every time 😹idk if it’s an Ewok or what but that sound is annoying
Great video. Did not subscribe. The voice of the narrator, very annoying. 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Natalie Portman's wooden, lifeless acting is one of the worst things about the prequels.
What are talking about was a Natalie Portman is Padme was the best part of prequels
I don’t really mind tbh, but also that is entirely Lucas’ fault. I mean they even lowered the pitch of her voice in post making it even more artificial 😂
Don’t forget 10 year old anakin blowing up a trade ship despite it being his first time being in a cockpit of a Star fighter.
She is the favorite person in the prequel for a lot of people. I, personally, don't know what you're talking about. It sounds crazy. There were some times when she deliberately spoke that way, whenever she was dressed as queen, to help conceal her identity. But overall, I don't know what you're talking about.

Star Wars isn't real! 🤓
Agree with your video 💯
9:24 I always thought it strange that Obi-Wan Kenobi, such a powerful Jedi master and mentor to Anakin Skywalker, never even suspected his relationship with Padmé Amidala. This is out of place in the entire story. This deleted scene could, in fact, shed light on this and, in my opinion, prove that Obi-Wan always knew of Anakin's love for Padmé, but deliberately ignored it for the emotional and behavioral effects on Anakin, even though personal relationships and atachments were forbidden to Jedi.
9:34 Which leeds me to another personal opinion: if, at least indirectly, Anakin's fall to the dark side was the fear of losing Padmé - which eventually happened - I don't think it should have been Luke Skywalker who was responsible for his redemption, but Leia, his daughter, in whom Darth Vader could have recognized his beloved Padmé. Thus, repentant and feeling his good side again, Darth Vader would fulfill his destiny in destroying the Sith.
