Also been noticing a lot of salty comments in the shorts uploads of these individual questions complaining about the point of it all when George never came up with it from 1977-1983. How come all of a sudden its a problem when this franchise has existed for almost 50 years?
So what's the "From a Certain Point of View"-gymnastics answer for Luke and Ben having zero problem in telling two helpless droids the entire Empire is looking for to "wait outside" when they're refused service? A New Hope should have ended when they exit the cantina and the droids are gone forever.
You better believe I'm gonna watch this whole thing even though I watched all the individual ones.

24:07 Something most people forget... these are supposed to be modern telling of stories being told about people and events far far away, and a long long time ago, thus their languages and most idioms are being translated into something understandable to this audience. So an X-Wing, in our language, evokes a look, it may not be a literal translation, but something that evokes that shape to the people as it was then/there.
The 'Theta' class dropship can carry 4 AT-ATs and 8 AS-STs in one trip. There are other dropships/ landing barges that can carry numerous combinations of vehicles and walkers.

Thank you for joining us today, Firmus Piett. You are interviewing today for the open position that we have in the Security Department here on Axxila. After reviewing your resume, you were a former Admiral in the Imperial Navy? "Yes."
What are your greatest strengths/weaknesses? "I'm a very experienced and able officer, as you can see on my resume. That would be my greatest strength. Weaknesses? Well, I hate working with bounty hunters. I just like to know where a person's loyalties lie before I work with them."
How would your previous co-workers describe you? "I was Admiral Kendal Ozzel's personal confidant on many occasions as he was my superior before I served as Admiral on the Executor. He would describe me as loyal, dead pan and blunt at times, but with a dark sense of humor."
Tell me something about yourself that isn’t on your resume. "Well, I have excellent survival skills, that's for sure. In one such incident in the past, I was serving as Fleet Admiral in the Imperial Navy when a fighter pilot actually, purposefully flew into the bridge of the Executor, causing the Executor to veer out of control and crash into Death Star II. To this day, I can't believe my luck, but I was able to fall off the dias, scramble off the bridge and get out in an escape pod. I thought I did pretty well all of those years serving Lord Vader and the Emperor directly."
Tell me about a past difficult work situation. How did you overcome it? "Lord Vader had replaced Admiral Ozzel and Captain Viett, and I had only just began to serve under him, and there was this particular incident when we were in orbit over Bespin near one of their mining colonies. Lord Vader specifically directed me to deactivate the hyper-drive on a contraband YT freighter. My team did it - I verified the order myself - but in a key moment, the ship got away to hyper-drive as we were readying our tractor beam. I was frozen in shock, and to this day, I have no idea how that happened. But Lord Vader kept me as Admiral, and I overcame my daily fear at first by indulging in my lifetime love of Axxilian Negronis, but I'm happy to say that I'm 3 years sober."
Describe a time when you had to work with someone whose personality or work style was very different from yours. "Lord Vader was a very curious fellow at times. One time I even saw him without his helmet, although it was from the rear, but he seemed to have a barely controlled rage about him, and you always had to remain on your toes and be as punctual as possible with him. I demanded a great deal of preparation from my team during that time to have the most flexibility for anything to happen, and to be ready for any order to be given. I basically did whatever he told me."

Obiwan never owned Artoo. It was the property of the Queen (not personally but was just another maintenance droid on her ship until he saves the day).
And not quite so seriously (and obviously a point of view), in the search for the death star plans, I think Vader just wanted "his" droids back because (1) Artoo is gifted to Anakin as a wedding present from Padme, and (2) he literally built Threepio.

Hey don't forget Hobbie. Wedge and Hobbie, Sabines defection was years before, the Rebellion was even a thing. The spectres were just a rogue cell. Sabine helped wedge a Hobbie escape and defect.

As far as Adm. Piett…he was spared because the failure was NOT his fault.Ozzel and Needa failed epically.
I feel bad for Omi 🥺. And I do like to think Boba Fett could have disintegrated Owen and Beru. Anakin still has a fondness for them and maybe had already …erm…. reprimanded …. Boba Fett. He’s just reminding him, “No disintegrations,” to put the fear of the Force into him. He doesn’t want to be reprimanded again by Vader. That’s how I like to look at it anyway.
Re Echo base being a base, I think it's also fairly clear that the Rebellion are still fairly new to the base and so haven't organized everything properly yet

8:52 - That 'acting like I don't know Kenobi' thing doesn't work. The message also said that Kenobi worked with Bail during the Clone wars. Thats still Treason.
It also proves that Bail new where Obi-Wan was. If the Droid was intercepted he also had the map to the deathstar. It wouldn't have mattered! Everyone would have ended up dead anyway.
In my opinion, they should've run with RotJ's novelization and made Owen Obi-Wan's brother instead of Anakin's.

Re: C-3PO knowing Leia - 3PO literally say, at about the 3 minute mark "there'll be no escape for the princess this time" while the ship is being boarded. Of course he knows who she is.

UNINTENDED IRONY DEPT. In the novelization of Return of the Jedi, when Obi Wan tells Luke, I sent you to live with my brother Owen on Tatooine. Takes place on get this,, PAGE 66 lol. In paperback format at least. Never perused the hardcover.
In Marvel Comics Star Wars Movie Adaptation #6 1977, one of the final captions clearly says Chewbacca would too recieve a medal but will have to put it on himself. Few space princesses are that tall. Paraphrased but pretty close. Find any original or reprint of Star Wars#6 or the giant Marvel Super Special Movie Adaptation of Star Wars 1977 and see for yourself.
It's grammatically correct for ellipses (3 dots) to have 3 dots, technically the first 2 movies are wrong

Hyperspace, casual fans dont understand that using hyperspace is like using an entrance/exit on the higway. you don't have much choice where yiu enter and exit. .sure they could jump wherever. but the hyperspace lanes are free if planets, black holes, asteroid fields, ect...that's how/why a blockade of Naboo worked/was possible in phantom menace

I saw the movie in the theater when it first came out and Han shot first. I also have the original dvd set and it shows it there too. Lucas admitted in an interview he changed it when the movie was released again in the 90s

The second Deathstar was already under construction before Deathstar I went Foxtrot Tango. The plan was to have the larger, more capable and powerful Deathstar II dedicated to the outer regions of the galaxy and Deathstar I dedicated to in inner core of the galaxy.

Nope, now way. The film edit makes you want to think that is what happened. Which do you believe?
Either Vader had been on the operating table long enough for news of Padme’s death to reach Coruscant.
Or, Sidious somehow knew that Padme had died just moments ago. I believe Vader was on the table for a lot more time than what the film seems to suggest.

All the retcons and backfilled lore are starting to get really farfetched and ridiculous. Ben saying he never owned a droid is a plot hole. Live with it. Old Ben not recognizing R2 is a plot hole. Live with it. Leia addresses Obi-Wan formally because the Obi-Wan series hadn't been written yet so you're to assume they don't know eachother very well. Huge plot hole. Live with it. No, lightsabers are not magnetically attracted to eachother's blades or a real warrior would quickly find a better weapon to wield. Dooku and Anakin in Revenge of the Sith was supposed to be their second duel, not their like 17th. Too many chefs are adding to the sauce that is StarWars and it aint tasting right these days.

she had considerable resistance to the mind probe. She didn't give away Yavin 4 as the rebel base, she didn't give away the fact (whether or not she "always knew") Luke was her brother, or give any indicator that she was strong in the force (apart from being able to resist the mind probe, but Vader doesn't make that connection).
The question also remains, why did Emperor Palpatine only mention "the new enemy" being the SON of Anakin Skywalker in ESB and not his daughter? Vader only realises in ROTJ when Luke is trying to conceal that fact. Luke's mind wanders to the threat against his friends on Endor, including his feelings towards ...his sister.

"Aunt BREW" (?) LOL that's BERU! I don't think so. The film states it was (or implies it was) Storm Troopers because, Luke concludes when they come across the ruined Jawa transport, that the troops (searching for the droids) would have to first learn who they sold the droids to i.e. Owen Lars.
Gonna just say that Anakin's youngling killing self has no business being a force ghost, and was never a sympathetic character to me. His death and redemption stop there. It could be the lack of charm he was portrayed within the prequels, but I was never rooting for him as an adult. Cramming him into that scene feels all wrong.

I’m m glad it was a happy ending for a change. Because after Rebels, Clone Wars S7, Rogue One and the abysmal Rise of Skywalker it would have felt redundant.

I don't know...one more of those certain points of view, I suppose. I think Yoda means it's the ultimate test for Jedi to face a Sith Lord but, it wouldn't be a typical test the Jedi face given Sith have been few and far between for the last century or two (before the events of the PT), unless you're a die hard fan that follows the EU/Legends material.
