I've had extreme high blood pressure for two decades and have severe retinopothy . I'm on 3 meds and it stays 160/100. my doctor won't listen to me or send me to any specialist she just keeps adding more meds. I'm at the max dose except for metropoplpol just at 50 so far. She keeps running blood work thyroid test and urine test and it's always perfectly normal. before I was on meds my blood pressure was 200/120 and I could feel pressure in nt neck lile I was being choked and the right side of my head near my temple would ach and im super sensitive to light. I have awful constant ringing in my ears head that gets louder when blood pressure goes up.. still never seen a specialist

Thanks doctor for this video,am stroke survivar, my bp is still high am prescribed clonidine(arkamin)100mcg 1-0-1, cilacar 10mg 1-0-1, minipress xl5mg 1-0-1, nebicard 2.5 1-0-0.bp is around 150/100. Pls suggest the blood test which indicates the resistance bp parameters.my Angiography shows normal and ct renal is normal. My height is 5.10 inches and weight is 78kg,non smoking and non alcoholic and vegetarian.had stroke last year 2023, thalamic bleed right impacting left limbs... current hba1c is 5.6, fasting glucose 89

Dr, I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and hypertension, still investigating the HBP and trying out Amlodipine. I want to discuss with my GP the possibility of switching Amlodipine for Clonidine as it can also benefit my ADHD. What is your opinion on Clonidine?

I wonder what percentage of non adherence is due to the cost of medication, the side effects and the inability of most cardiologists to experiment first with lifestyle changes with their patients?
