I have an important bypass question. I saw a video of a guy using a GC390 4gpm with the bypass hose not connected so the water can keep running out the bypass hose so the pressure washer won’t over heat. Mr Rucker, thank you for your recommendation to contact Simpson and I'm sorry to bother you again. They did confirmed that the unloader system doesn't have the option to control the overheating when the wand is not in operation and doesn't provide to install a buffer tank or a hose to circulates the water. This is a great inconvenience for me since I'm starting my pressure washing business. They told me I have about a minute or so to go to the pressure washer and shot it off. Since I don't have this option in my machine, if I need to stop operating the wand for any reason can I disconnect the wand, use the ball valve to keep the water running and leave the hose on the ground? The important thing here is to keep the water running possibly? or maybe you have an idea. This is critical for me, I will appreciate if you can give some options, thank you!!! again!!!!

It can, you usually have to have your tank real close to the machine and shortest hose possible from tank to machine. You may even have to start the machine without the pressure hose connected, then once it's pumping, shut machine off and then connect pressure hose and then restart. If that doesn work you would have to add a small 12V pump to help push it. Direct Drives work best when force fed.
