What are you most excited for? What are you planning on building or upgrading in 2024? Tell your story in a new comment below!
Is this %100 legit
I personally buy all my keys from them and have for the past 3 years so I am very comfortable recommending them. And any problems that have been reported to me by viewers have always been handled by their customer service quickly.
@@PCBuilderChannel ok I will buy it when I get all my parts with your code
Excited for 4080 Super. I wonder if they will be made of unobtanium or available launch day. 70 Ti Super also looks legit. Only thing I don't like is the vram.
Getting a new pc
Jason you've quickly become an instant click when you release a video. Thanks for your hard work covering the industry!
Agreed
Thank you for the awesome feedback! It really means a lot. Hope you keep enjoying the content!
I have a small group of channels that I will instantly click on if they drop new content… and this one is at the top of the list… wish I could support financially, I just can’t atm….
@robertfmer6316 thank you so much! We really appreciate you watching (:
same here. Even if I am not in the market to build a new PC I still watch his videos to keep up with technology and learn from him!!
Great video with practical advice. In general, folks should wait, but keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks for good open box deals as people flood retailers with returns on GPUs they bought for the hilidays that they are now returning for new super cards.
Well said!
Been watching and loving your channel since you had just under 40k subs. Super excited to see how much your channel has grown.
Thanks so much for being with us for so long!
You are honestly the most positive tech youtuber ou there..no bs just straight to point.. amazing content
Thank you! So glad you are enjoying
The plugs on the back of the motherboard is something I've been asking for.
My i5-12400F + RX 6700 XT build is still going strong at 1440p/4k a couple years later so not even looking at hardware this year, well not PC hardware, might pick up a Switch 2 if it has a new Super Mario Odyssey at launch. But very excited about games coming this year on PC such as Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, Persona 3 Reload, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Black Myth Wukong, and Horizon Forbidden West.
Great video, tons of content. Glad I waited to see what all the cards on the table look like. Looking to do 3700x/6700xt to 5700x3D/4080 SUPER combo on my UW OLED. I'm keeping the Asus B550 and Case. I'll wait till 8800x3D then upgrade the case with it. If you can afford to get an OLED display and you want to upgrade your monitor, but already have at least a decent GPU. Please get one that makes sense to you. If you're the type who says " I don't like or care for Ray Tracing." That will change as well. It might be better if you didn't buy it. It will be cheaper and less taxing later.
I’m so glad I didn’t place my orders over the Christmas break for my new PC build I hope the uk market sees the new launches soon and the GPU battle is going to be interesting I may be able to afford a 4k gaming rig with some luck.
Thanks for the video footage of the show. I had to stop and look a couple of times at that, some cool stuff.. It's about time on the cable management, right.
So glad you enjoyed! And yes I'm excited about those too
I have been researching hardware for the past 2 months and you have been one of the most helpful people. Im waiting for things to settle so i can build a new rig and upgrade from my ryzen 5 2600/gtx 1060 to a 7800x3d/7800xt. I think its going to be like moving from a motel to a mansion😂. Much love from Greece keep doing what you do best.
Exciting! Best wishes on the build and hello Greece!
7800 XT will be a nice bumb, not long for AMD Fluid Motion Frames baked into drivers
Honestly, unless you need the extra CPU performance for some reason, you should totally go for a 7600 paired with a 7900 XT with that budget instead imo. I have a 7600X and a 7800 XT and it's pretty epic for gaming for the price. Of course if you need the CPU for something else, then go with the 7800X3D, but if all you're doing is gaming I think you'll be more than happy with a 7600 fr
@@CallsignJubilee Gonna be getting a pretty much same build as OP, but I do play mmo's, which from my understanding are more cpu intensive. Would you still recommend shorting the cpu and upping the gpu for those?
I just ordered those 2 final parts the other day, I could no longer be bothered to wait for prices to go down lol
Thanks for practical information, straight to the point, with no fluff. love from New Zealand.
Thank you! Hello New Zealand!
Guess I'm gonna wait to build my PC then... Thanks for the video! Simply the best PC-related channel on CZcams.
Give it a few weeks for all the launches and prices to adjust (:
So glad we can help!
yes on the project zero build guide!! brilliant coverage jason
Noted! Thanks for watching
Most excited about, Project Zero and BTF. Looking to upgrade my computer this year and this seems like an excellent solution to dealing with cables.
Thanks for the feedback!
Same here. I want to upgrade my computer this year as well so it looks like I have many options. Course, with so many options, I don’t know where I want to start.
Would love to see a guide on the cable-less PC builds
Noted!
I've been patiently waiting for the 7900XTX price cut since Nvidia announced the super cards
I rarely buy cases with glass, preferring solid side panels with ventilation. I don't care if cables are in front or back.
I might see if my montech case could have that msi board. It seems like a solid board AND it's neat and tidy? I think it would look so nice. Cables have always been a minimalist thing for me.
I wouldn’t let go of integrated graphics. It can help for troubleshooting whenever something goes wrong with your graphics card.
Hey quick question, how future proof are those combos with the Ryzen 7600 or Intel 13600k?
I got an answer in this vid I didn't find in other Channels.
It's clear to me you are on the rise!
You share a lot of information and opinions in a well condensed, clear fashion. Thankyou!
Sub'd.🙂👍
Awesome, thank you! So glad its helpful and thank you for the sub
Yes, please do couple of builds utilizing new motherboards and give your thoughts
Thanks for the feedback!
I like the look of the msi 4080 super expert and may have to pick one up. I like the non Rgb look of it.
I am looking forward to learning more about the "Super" GPU releases. Curious to see what the price to performance is on the new cards. I did not know about the monitors, thank you!!!
So glad it was helpful!
Great video. Currently have a 5600x paired with a 6950xt. Been waiting for the new cpu release before I decide to jump to AM5 socket. Will AMD release another set of CPU's on the AM5 socket without the IGP? Or is the 8000 release it for AMD CPU's?
I'm probably not going to build the wireless but I would watch you build one!
Clutch video covering my main interest at CES!
TY!!
Glad it was helpful!
My PC had 2 fans in front and 1 in back. Because it felt hot, added a top fan. Since doing that MSFS no longer crashes, even after long play and frame rates have improved by 20 percent. Is the extra cooling causing the GPU or the CPU to operate faster? Or was one of the components throttling back before I added the extra cooling? Just curious.
definitely want to see a build guide for one of those project zero mobo + case bundles from newegg
First off big fan of your channel great work! I have a question I hope someone can help me with :
I recently got a great deal on a prebuilt that was on sale for Christmas (the sum of its parts were more expensive than buying the prebuilt at the time)
The system came with Ryzen 7600 , 4060 8gb, (and here is where they cheaper out for cost and didnt advertise) the mobo is an Asus A620-plus WiFi, and 1 stick of 16GB 6000 ram (instead of 2x8) .
My question is what should I upgrade first for performance and or functionality- I am
Not just a gamer, I do some visual stuff, as well as audio, and spin up several VM’s… I’d also like to add an additional m.2 .
My thoughts were to immediately grab a couple extra sticks of the the same ram to enable XRP (it’s running at 4800 now since I only have one stick) and then upgrade the board? If so which board would you advise? Thanks so much in advance!
Man i just want to tell you that i love you and your work 👍🏻👍🏻 i got a pc 3 months ago with the information i got from your videos and i wont need one in the next 3 4 years but still enjoy wating your videos im a die hard fan since last july
Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! It really means a lot. So glad we could help!
Thinking about building my first PC with a 4070 Super to upgrade from my Alienware R8 with a 3060ti. Been wanting to build a PC for years!
recently upgraded my GPU, hoping to get a nice OLED Monitor to compliment it this year!
the Thermaltake the Tower 300 Micro is the one that I'm aiming for, It's look sick AF
Will there be 144hz OLED monitors? I can't find anything on the internet about this.
I'm looking to build a killer PC for the newly announced Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Will hold off until more is known about this new software release. I assume a 4090 GPU will be the way to go for graphics, but CPU is a question mark in my mind. Hoping by Flight Sim Expo in June experts like you will be all over this. Thanks for all the great info! Keep it coming!
Well unfortunately 4090s are sold out. So I would look at the new 4080 Super.
As for the CPU the best Gaming CPU you can get is the 7800X3D so I'd go with that.
hey jason, can i have your thoughts on which is the better deal? 5600x3d or 5700x3d? i know the 5700x3d will be $10 more than the 5600x3d but do you think the performance will be drastic?
I would love to see a build, or builds with this new ZERO MB's.
A wonder it hasnt become mainstream by now already.
Ok great! Thanks for the feedback
I'd love to see a build guide for wireless setups!!
I have a r7 5700x is it worth upgrading to the x3d when it come out?
I was really hoping for a 5500X3D launch date. Got that pegged as my next CPU but I don’t know how long I want to wait.
All that tech news has tired out Mr. Bear. Thanks for all the updates on new tech. I especially like the new motherboards with connectors on the back.
Yes its hard work being the true star of the channel! (;
Hardly "cable-less", they've just been hidden out of sight. Let me know when I can connect my monitor wirelessly.
Lot's of cool stuff!
Yes!
Great coverage. i would like to see the new white asus tuf z790 build. keep up the good work.
Waiting for the new AMD RX8000 launch. Will probably look at getting a new rig then. May start getting the other pieces lined up now however.
My OLED from Dell is like the best upgrade I've done in years. Widescreen + OLED + HDR=❤
Nice!
BTF sound interesting! Just the resale might stop a lot of people from buying it. The sell and upgrade for path will be very slim... unless the other board manufacturers adopt the technology.
Right! It will be interesting to see.
I have a Ryzen 7600 / 32gb 6000mt CL30 arriving today and x670 board on Tuesday. Been wondering if I should hold off a little bit as I can repurpose a lightly used Media PC (5800x/x570s/32gb 3600/6700xt) to the main pc office location for a while.
I ended up just sending the 7600,board and ram back. My main rig lost the 5800X3D and using a 5800X now. My son's build lost his X570 Asus TUF in the sale. He gained a X570S Tomahawk from the MediaPC. When I order new 8000 series parts later this year my current X570S Edge Max / 5800X will all go back to the Media PC that is gutted at the moment. Just need to sell a few basic DDR4 kits and then just sit on the cash till Zen5. Figured I could wait especially as that MediaPC hasn't been getting much use in the cold downstairs. I usually try to part ways with some of my hardware when people offer me a fair price and I just wait for a better deal to come up or out.
Im excited for the 5700x3d since I didnt get an upgrade last year and $250 seems achievable
Jason still sporting that post CES no-shave combat stubble! i've been off 6 days cant judge ... lol
haha! Yes we were pushing hard to get this one shot when we got back so sacrifices were made (;
Definitely a good year for building! Im sporting a 5800x with an RTX 3070 TI. So I'm good for now. 😊
I am waiting for a 5k2k Oled monitor with > 110 Ppi and also kvm switch. And hz > 100
I'd like to see a MSI Project Zero build please. Love these clean info. videos, thank you.
Noted!
building a pc next month and i’m using ryzen 7 7800x3d and a 4070 ti super for the build
I'd like to see some of your game footage using some of your builds, so we can see the results. I know numbers tell the real story bit it would be great to see what that looks like on a screen.
We do benchmarks on our build guides!
The cap is a good solution!
Good video like always!
Thank you!! So glad you enjoyed (:
That msi project zero line is very intriguing. I’d like to see a build.
Thanks for the feedback!
@@PCBuilderChannel your content never disappoints. I’m also curious for a flight simulator build for X-plane 12.
Hey Jason i have a question. I play games at 1080p qnd i have a 4070 but i need to upgrade my procesor and the whole platform im on. Would you recommend i get the 14600kf whit ddr4 16gigs and a budget z690 or a ryzen 5 7500f a decend b660 and 32gigs of 6000 cl 16 ddr5 ? They come out as about the same price
For gaming 7500F but you'd need a B650 not a B660. B660 is Intel and wouldn't work with an AMD CPU.
I’m new to PC gaming so I just bought a pre built should be delivered today but probably won’t cause of the snow lmao
But this is what I got
CLX HORUS Gaming Desktop - Intel Core i9 14900KF 3.2GHz 24-Core Processor, 64GB DDR5 Memory, GeForce RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6X Graphics, 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD, 6TB HDD, WiFi, Win 11 Home 64-bit
You're very helpful sir❤
That's great to hear! So glad we can help
I have a ryzen 5 5600 and 2070 super what would you upgrade first I want to upgrade both eventually but what would be better to upgrade first?
I'd drop in a 5700X3D or 5800X3D which will set you up for massive GPU upgrades in the future.
Damn I’ve built a brand new one…..and I’m 100% ecstatic because I have the skills and knowledge to research and buy the best that I can afford!! 😎
amazing
I would like to see a complete review of a BTF case and build
Thanks for the feedback!
Hi, worth buy 4070 ti super ? :) Cpu: i7 12700kf DDR4 ram 32gb, Z690 MB, already got 2070 super :D
I've finished my system, but I started to think it's time to build another one. Oh boy... Anyway, have a great weekend, Jason, Sarah & cades! 💯✌
Haha I know the feeling Thomas! Once you start building its hard to stop (;
Hope you have a great weekend too!
I hope that prices will finally go down and you will be able to build a great machine and save money :)
i’m trying to plan ahead so i can but the new 4070 ti super when it drops. i can’t figure out the best place to get it though. do you know which websites and which stores will have them in stock on launch day? and do you have a manufacturer that you recommend since there isn’t a founders edition?
With other GPUs Jason has said there aren't any big differences between models.
As for which stores will have them I would guess Newegg and Amazon if in the US but I don't know for sure.
@@kelley09162 yeah, i’m wondering if online or in person will be my best bet
Would upgrade to ddr5 as I all ready want to and I love this project 0 however they only have matx on the amd side right now so I guess that is a upgrade I will look into next year which is a bummer because I do love the look of it 😂
Can u do a video on the best gaming oled monitors for 1440p and 4k?
Yep! We'll have lots of new monitor guides coming in 2024
Your videos are really helpful
Happy you're finding the content helpful. Hope you keep enjoying all the new videos!
@@PCBuilderChannel it is helpful. Because I will buy a Pc in the future.
Never had one .
Hi Jason, i was about to buy a ryzen 5 5600 for a new build to house my radeon 6600, do you think this announcement should affect me at all? thanks
The only thing I would consider is dropping to a 5500 to invest a little more in your GPU to get to more VRAM.
I scored on new z690 from part time job at pc recycling warehouse i ordered ram now going to order i7 12700k i have a 1200watt psu for this build.
I decided on i5 13600k 👍
Really interested in seeing msi zero white build. Especially if we can build it with clean tg white cases
Noted!
that 4080 super is calling my name
Question: how much is the possibility that CPU and GPU from more than 2 generations ago (like say, Ryzen 5600 and RX 6700 XT or older CPUs+GPUs) will drop when these newest generation of both come to market? Thanks before
Its possible!!
@@PCBuilderChannel noted, thanks for your reply and this video in general!
Hey there, thanks for the great video. I'm about to get a new pc with a 7800x3d and want to get a 500-800s ish gpu. What do you recommend?
Thanks
7800XT or 7900XT but wait for the Nvidia Super GPUs to come out in case they cause the prices of one or both of those GPUs to drop.
@@kelley09162if you spend $400 on CPU, you should at minimum get a 7900 XT. Otherwise you should spend less money on the CPU and more on the GPU.
@@kelley09162 Thanks, that's what i was thinking. I will wait a bit then.
Wait a couple of weeks and let's see what prices do around the new launches
Do you have a gaming laptop and monitor combo video somewhere? Interested in that if you have it
I don't think he does but he does have videos on those separately.
Also Jarrod's Tech is a good channel for Laptop videos and Monitors Unboxed is a good channel for Monitors if interested.
We do have our Best Gaming Laptop and Best Gaming Monitor videos you can check out. New 2024 versions coming soon!
Alienware has the AW3225QF 32" 4K 240hz listed for $1199.99. Expecting that to be the base for class. Planning on late spring/early summer for price cuts.
We'll be putting out our Gaming Monitor 2024 update video soon too with more thoughts
@@PCBuilderChannel bunch of wild info swirling for the new batch. If you can, please mark each monitor as glossy or matte finish as it becomes known. The AW is supposedly a gloss finish and as yet the only curved.
Hello, I want to build a gaming PC. I'm an average gamer, but I'm debating on which brand I should go for the motherboard; am I between MSI and ASUS?
Both brands are good its going to depend on the model itself. If you are building with Ryzen check out our Best Ryzen Motherboard 2023 video, if Intel check out our Best Intel Motherboard 2023 video.
Definitely upgrading my computer this year. Currently have a i7 10700k and a MSI RTX 3060
Exciting! Best wishes on the upgrade
@@PCBuilderChannelonly because I’ve been using a 1440p 144hz monitor for the past year or so lol. I feel like I’ve been missing out on its full potential in fps
You should notice a better quality 1440P (just don't bother with 4060) with an upgrade. I can tell the 1440P difference (they all work and I don't want to sound snobby) between 3060 12gb, 7800XT, and 7900XTX. That CPU is recent enough but AM5/12th gen onwards (not sure I would wait for 15th at this point), am on 12th 12700KF & 12900KF I could upgrade to 14700KF. 7800X3D are cheaper but maybe you wait for the next gen 8000 at this point. Once you get used to 144-165hz it's hard to go back. Hope you catch some good deals, I put together machines during deals time, Amazon and Newegg have their semi-annual ones around July and sometimes the daily deals are good.
Interesting.
hello jason, is there a chart for GPUs and their values? if there is one can you send me a link? thanks
Check out our GPU Market Update videos! Theres a list on the channel page. They all have spreadsheets linked.
As a custom cable user i hope the btf never becomes a norm. Sure it would be nice to have options to not have them.
I'm a fan of options, but I think our traditional cable setups are here to stay too.
i just built my pc yesterday, with 7950x3d and a 4070ti
I don't know about anybody else, but I think that the founders edition/reference design GPU coolers for both AMD and Nvidia look SOOO much better than typical AIB coolers because they usually look so sleek, minimal and iconic rather than a generic cooler with RGB puke fans that usually has a "gamer" term and the AIB logo slapped on it.
I think they are looking particularly cool too
I agree I just wish the 7800xt was a triple fan instead of only 2
@@isaacjlw Same, I have the Sapphire reference design and it looks sick, but it's a little underpowered for how much heat the 7800 XT produces.
Blegh, amd reference might look ok with triple fan, but ngreedia shit looks like a brick. Uglya s fuck. And nothing beat aorus master in design anyway.
That's partly why I hated hearing that EVGA was dropping out of the GPU space. Their coolers were just "neat" without going overboard. I'm still running their 1080 Hybrid.
Im gonna upgrade my 13700k / 3080ti build to a 15900k + 5090 when those eventually release.
Hey Jason! I’m struggling to upgrade my pc. I know I want to go to the 5800x3d and a 7900xtx. I’m nervous because idk what 7900xtx I should be looking at, idk if I have the right connections for the gpu but also I don’t know if I even have a good psu for it. I try to duplicate my build on partpicker but some of the stuff isn’t there so idk.
The differences between gpu manufacturers (Powercolor, sapphire, etc) usually aren't too large, I would just go for one with 3 fans and decent pricing.
That's a great upgrade for an existing AM4 platform. I wouldn't worry about it much to be honest. You can watch our Best GPU for Gaming 2023 video for more on what the differences between models are.
Make a build video and software one for 2024 ❤
I'd been waiting on grabbing a 5700X since the 5800X3D is just too rich for my blood, but that 5700X3D might just be my sweet spot. Will be paired to a 6950XT I got a good deal on last year. Currently on a 3600X with an RTX2060 and haven't had any issues (just about finished with Baldur's Gate 3), but I'd like something that can run handbrake slightly faster for some mkv compression. My "computer" before this current one I built in 2020, was a Dell XPS laptop I got in 2011....lol. I'd probably still be using it if the graphics hadn't burnt out.
Yea if the 5700X3D performs well that would be a good upgrade for you.

Great channel btw helped a lot in my choices .
So glad I didn't grab the 4070 ti! Was gonna get the Spider verse special edition.
I'm torn if I should go to 4k or not from 1440p (ryzen 7 5800x & 7900Xtx)...
That 5800X is going to bottleneck that GPU. I'd focus on upgrading your CPU to a 5800X3D when you can. See our Best GPU/CPU Combo 2023 video for more
I just bought an MSI Ventus 3x GeForce RTX 4080 16GB, MSI X670-P with a ryzen 7 7800x3d 2 Tb WD_BLACK SN850X NVME M.2 2280 PCI-E and 32gb (2x16) 6000MHZ T-force ram and now I'm hearing I'm going to have problems running 6000MHZ is this true?
No. 6000 CL30 is the speed of RAM Jason recommends.
I wouldn't have bought that GPU though with the Supers coming out soon.
I have a 12400f on b760m board and I’m thinking of upgrading my cpu and RAM. I do gaming streaming and editing any suggestions looking at my work? 14th gen maybe
Depends on what your GPU is because I don't want to recommend something that's a bottleneck.

I have a Ryzen 5800X what would be the most expensive GPU you would pair with it?
Same level as we recommend with 5600. Max 4070 or 7800XT. See our Best GPU/CPU Combo 2023 video for more
I was thinking of upgrading my i5-11400F to a ryzen 5 7600, should i keep waiting or buy one since they are around 200 euro atm
That would be a good upgrade as long as you have a GPU that won't bottleneck it.
