Each Spring, Stone Glacier employees take to the hills in search of mature mountain bruins. Most big bears live in nasty remote areas only accessible by foot. In this film, SG Marketing Directory, Lyle Hebel Customer Service Rep, Ryan D'Agostino and Zack Boughton load up their EVO 6900 packs and go full send into the backcountry looking to punch their Montana Bear tags.

“Calories consumed: 1,000,000 - Bears killed: 0!” - reminds me of my last hunt 😆
Spoiler Alert Bro
@@langwaydpful not if you watch the whole video, booboo
“Yeah but he’s wrecking that log” 😂 awesome video. Way to stay positive and keep at it. You guys earned that bear for sure!
These guys kept a good sense of humor the whole time. Having fun and enjoying the experience is as important as the hunt itself
Enjoyed the fact that the hunt was a grind and they kept things going with their good attitude and humor. They put in a lot if work for a bear, more than most people are willing to do. Liked seeing the Stone Glacier gear at work. Makes me want to add some more to my arsenal of rugged gear fir mountain hunting!!
You can always count on SG to put out great gear and supporting content, great work!
MT Spring Bears, Relatable struggles, good humor and Zack behind the camera and edit. Can’t go wrong with that combo. Wish I had an uncle Zack to take me hunting.
I love this stuff. I’m a disabled veteran, watching these kind of videos while I work out trying to stay motivated on my way to getting into mountain shape.
I don’t know who’s more savage, that killer pack or these two dudes lol. Awesome stuff, LOVE your gear and these videos!
blair peterson: so there’s a bear out there with 2 holes in it, they spend a couple of hours checking out the blood trail then head back to the truck, next day there in a different area, so these guys are legends. Maybe they should watch Steven Rinella tracking a wounded elk for a day and a half to find it, now he’s a legend.
Blair, thanks for taking the time to comment on the film. It's generally hard to show everything that happened during the hunt in a half-hour film. The guys searched for a long time trying to turn up that bear. Nobody likes losing an animal, but if you hunt long enough, it's bound to happen. I think even Steven Rinella, a good friend of SG, would agree to that.
@@stoneglacier9636 thanks for the clarification, I’m not the hunter these guys are, man like lots of grit, more then I got, I guess its that decision of what to put in the film when you have limited time, my apologies, great film by the way, tough area
@@stoneglacier9636 everyone does miss... I’ve missed! Less likely when you close the distance though. Still great film. Thanks for sharing
Bottom line: there’s more dead bears on that hunt than tags were punched. In the world of trying to sell product and put videos out, these dudes show us that in the end ethics will slide to make a good video. You can see it all over CZcams. Particularly with guys using rifles that can shoot farther than their ability allows, and at distances that are unethical for hunting purposes, as noted in this video. I worry the new generation of hunters will keep seeing this and think it’s ok to hunt like that. Hiking 8 miles and crossing a creek doesn’t give a guy an out for shooting at things like that. Just my 2.
Even Steven rinella gets a miss, that's the real world gamble and it unfortunately happens. Wind/fatigue/adrenaline Rush/ scope being bumped during your walk... Easy to bitch and moan until you are there trying to take the shot Nd them running up a mountain without any daylight left.
“Keep the wild country wild, because that’s where the bears are.” -Clay Newcomb
So much goodness in this. Love that you show the challenges, heartache, and success in the hunt! Classy humor throughout as well!
Idk what it is about bears that I’m always just in awe about them. They just scream adventure, wild and wonder.
I know I’m not the only one to see that SG scope rifle cover!
Work in progress but it's pretty slick!
And puffy vest ?
@@christhompson3753 next year
And the rifle stock pack??? You bros are murdering it like where can I give my credit card number
Hopefully the guy pulling the trigger learned that even with all his fancy gear, that that distance is an unethical shot for him until he gets more practice. Hopefully he remembers this the next time he pulls the trigger.
“He’s not very big”
“Yeah but he’s f****** up that log”. 😂Great video SG.
Loved watching this video. It showed the real work and frustrations of hunting. Love what you guys are doing!
These men are savage - legends
cemented in the annals of Montana history, part truth, part folklore. Their reputation precedes them. Ryan once flirted with danger, but danger got too clingy. Lyle lives vicariously through himself. Ryan bowls over handed and is allowed to talk about fight club. Lyle built his kids a tree house with a fully furnished basement. Then there's Zack, who went to Vegas and won a Texas hold ‘em tournament with UNO cards. Simply savage.
Props gents on the great film and awesome hustle. Nothing but blood, sweat and ...a bear. Keep rippin'!
Sincerely,
Internet friend
P.s. slow day in the turkey blind.
Pure gold!
Hey, Aaron. We just completed the random drawing and while you didn't win the pack we appreciated your comment. Can you send your contact information (address, phone, and email) to info@stoneglacier.com. We want to send you a little something.
Great looking packs and top of the line gear-- but as an archery hunter, whenever I see shots that long (especially that result in a miss) I always wonder why they didn't get a bit closer.
With "long range" guns as they are these days is it now acceptable to shoot and just hope you kill the animal? This disgusts me. What happened to concern for life and ethical kill? It is no wonder hunters get a bad wrap considering situations like this. I am so tired of people saying it is part of hunting. I have hunted my entire life, I am 48, I have yet to leave an animal on the mountain. GET CLOSER!
Just watching this video gets you pumped to be back in the woods. I could watch these guys all day, absolutely hilarious
I appreciate this film actually showing the struggle of getting where you need to go (literally and figuratively). That’s a great part of the experience, if you’re open to it, and is why you can come back from a hunt without a harvest and still feel like it was successful.
I agree with an earlier comment, there should have been more effort in trying to retrieve the first bear, or don’t shoot so far.
That’s what happens when you value content and ego over the wildlife you claim to care about. It turns wildlife into a commodity to be exploited rather than a resource to be valued. Not true ethical sportsman if you ask me.
@@ricflair5956 I wish I wasn't surprised. Their Border Bulls video has a lovely shot at an elk through thick cover. SG supports the same bozos that didn't know they were poaching bull trout. Gotta get that content.
If you guys shot a bear and found a blood trail. That tag should be considered as used. Whether or not you managed to find it is another issue cause if you couldn't, it's due to poor shooting or poor tracking.
It's really unwise to leave a wounded bear in the woods because it might become a man hunter.

Some wise dude once said something like, "the highest most enduring type of fun is the stuff that really sucks when you're doing it, but you can look back on it and feel like it was fun."
After that it looks like you guys have peaked. Hard to imagine you're going to suffer more for a good time than that...
Wise dude was ole Steven Rinella, but I’d give the credit to Jani
Amazing! Great work guys! Keep the content coming! Love watching films like these. Great use/test for the amazing gear you guys make!
Have to say this is an excellent piece to watch if you really want to understand the work, commit and perseverance of a backpack hunt for Spring Bears. Had 12 year old daughter watch this, so she would understand what is about to happen the coming weekend and I have to say she is more excited now than before. Thank you so much for putting this together and sharing. Nice to see something so realistic, the ups/downs, the work, and the success and failure which can happen and the mental fortitude to keep moving forward. Sorry about the first clipped Boar high in shoulder, but truth and reality are better than the canned/fenced/cut/edit hunts so often displayed, thank you for honesty as it is what the youngest future hunters need to see and understand. Keep 'em coming.
"I moved my phone up" 😂😂 the commentary of the guys was really on point to most realistic hunts ive been on with my buddies.
Great portrayal of the struggle for any type of backcountry but especially bear hunt! Great job keeping spirits alive!
Love the raw emotion, gets me excited for all the hunts to come! Keep up the good work!
This is the kind of video which motivates people to just get out and have fun, unlike the typical cable hunting shows in my opinion.
I liked the imitation of tics sucking blood also.
Awesome to see the hunts. Savage is almost an understatement for some of those spots you were in. Keep these films coming.
Straight up savage effort! Memories were damned sure made for those endeavors. Great video!
Lyle has all the great ideas!! I never would have know adjustable eye cups are really for snacks!!! Great video!!! Congrats Lyle!!!
Awesome film you guys. I really like that you allowed it to be published as it was shot and not censored. You did a great job!
Love these videos guys, keep it up. Your defiantly a huge inspiration to all of us hunters who strive to be good and enjoy what we do to the fullest. Nothing beats being up in gods country following our dreams.
So good, thanks for coming with the legit content. Stoked to run my bino harness this season!
You guys are living the dream! Awesome video, can't wait to come check out the new store when it's done.
To think I've been using my eye cups wrong all these years. Nice work boyz
Keep up with the badass films! Two in a row that are some of the best made in awhile!
Great work, my legs burned watching that one...hard work dose pay off congrats!!!
Such an awesome hunt! It's nice to see such a solid level of struggle and realness in a hunting video these days.
Some of the best quotes in a hunting video I have ever heard. Great work!
Great representation of a mountain hunt. Thanks guys for portraying it so well.
What a sweet grind. The Bear hunts are really about the adventure. It’s something to do with hunting a predator hunt. Increased energy and excitement. Keep on smiling guy’s even when you see that next peek.
Nicely done and way to keep after it! Also I now want one of those rifle covers possible 2! Always happy as hell with SG products!
Man watching this makes me wanna get out in the bush...keep it up guys glad to be able to help support a good group of guys called stone glacier!
Please keep putting out this kinda stuff! Love these videos and yalls gear!
This is the first SG content I have ever watched and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Great job!
Awesome video as always ! Love these spring bear hunt videos. Gimme that pack !
Wow, awesome photography and a great story. Love it!
Great film! Watching before heading out on my own spring bear hunt this evening, here's hoping!
“Hard as woodpeckers lips” is one of my favorite quotes! Looked like man awesome hunt!
Loved the film. It is always nice to have a "game catch" when hunting in the mountains! When the bear stopped at the log instead of rolling to the bottom of the valley It was good sight.
Awesome work! Great to see y'all laughing through it all.
Almost Heroes scene... I always bring that up and nobody knows what I’m talking about! Great hunt, nice bear, awesome video! Keep it up!
Love the enduring attitude of both hunters! You guys worked so hard for that bear!
Loved the creek crossings and your guys attitude throughout the hunt! Thanks for the great video 👍🏼
What a hunt! I’ve never hunted in country like that. Tough deal when you cannot find a wounded animal, heart breaking to most hunters this happens to! Ultimately successful! Great film!
Tough times build strong men!
Y’all did such a great job on the film.
Halfway through the video, my head was starting to itch just thinking about those ticks! Good work fellas! Great bear.
Awesome content! Hiking stalk n spot bears is the best hunting experience available... elk a very close second!
“Just a few ticks”😂 Looked like small colony were stuck to his pants.
Another awesome adventure that keeps me dreaming while at work! Thanks for that!
Nicely done guys! Checked all the boxes for a good 'ol Montana spring bear hunt, and a well earned bear for sure.
Love videos like this that are well done and not overly edited.
Another awesome film. Loved it... thanks
Some of the best representations of backcountry getting after it out there! GET SOME BOYS!
Love this video. Especially the river crossings! Keep them coming.
Absolutely honest footage!🤣. Thanks for keeping it real- congratulations! Look forward to using your product this year in the sweet grass hills!
I can’t believe I JUST found this channel. That looks like so much fun and this quality of these videos and content is top notch. Subscribed
Laughed all the way through it. Great job fellas!
I’ve never left a comment on a CZcams video before, but this video made me feel the need to! You guys are enjoyable to watch, and I love the humor. Caught myself laughing quite a few times. Videography was awesome and that landscape was beautiful. I’ve been hunting my whole life, but never for bears. This makes a fella wanna give it a shot! Keep up the great work guys 👍🏼
Thanks Shawn!
Awesome hunt guys. Looking forward to buying one of those SG scope covers & stock cover in the future. You guys have the Best gear on earth 👍🏽💯
Great job! Quality content as always, you guys are killing it! 👍
Love the gear you guys put out, I grew up in Gardiner, and over the last 25 years of tromping around the woods I’ve gone through a few different brands
Great video! Gotta love the memories to alway look back on! 🤘🏼
Great video, loved the unedited material. Reminds me of hunting with my buddies. Keep them coming.
Best “as it is” but still very well put together hunting video I’ve ever seen! So awesome!
I love the confidence swing with the phone location. From pocket to chest real quick after seeing that first attempt.
Video is amazing.
Great Video Guys, it made me happy just to see buddies out in the mountains together getting their asses kicked while cracking stupid funny jokes...that, is the best part of hunting hands down. Love SG and happy to see you guys succeeding and expanding!
Another great film and can not wait to see some of the teased gear come out to the rest of us!
Great content-highs and lows of hunting. Pro tip: binos as snack cups...😂
Looking forward to more from the SG crew!
I love how optimistic good hunters are. You just have to be that way. " It's definitely, probably a boar by himself"
Yes ..let me text this Orlando Florida area code , for the Montana based company. The outdoor community does not want you here.
Hilarious dudes, and badass video. Savage Access indeed. Going hunting is always fun, but these guys are clearly having a blast. To say I'm jealous would be an understatement
Way to fight through the adversity. This adventure is definitely savage for sure. Good job fellas.
That looked like a grind but totally worth it to be in such beautiful country! Great film boys!
Just started training for my first Western-style hunt. Heading to NM and AZ in the back half of this year. By the look of your hunters, I'm gonna have to double up my efforts. Kudos to the guys for staying persistent and nailing their trophy. BTW, the survival skill of snacks in an eyepiece is right up there with starting a fire.
Congrats fellas, enjoy those tall boys cause you definitely earned them, especially with those creek crossings! Well done.
good stuff boys! just bought a stone glacier pack, and planning a 4-day alpine trip. Cant wait!
Living in Eastern Montana hunting is very different when compared to Western Montana. Going on a spring bear hunt in the Bitterroot with my Brother for the first time this year. Your video is inspiring and I am so excited to get to started. Leaving tomorrow for a 9 day backcountry hunt. Keep up the great content.
Nice video. Looked like a hell of a tough climb. Looking forward to more from SG
I love that part where they’re so beat that anything is funny. Those are the best times!
So glad I found you guys. I can't believe I haven't watched your stuff before this!
Great film! Makes me even more excited for my first hunt out west one day!
Can bearly wait to watch this when I get home from work! Maybe leave early today 🤔 these homes in big sky can wait haha
Awesome film! Loving the content! And of course the awesome products! Keep it up guys!
Thanks Lynn!
Checking in all the way from Florida, awesome video, I'm going to have to add this hunt to my bucket list.
Fun video to watch! Looks like lots of memories made on this one!
Awsome looking country. That's the coolest tiny shed I've ever seen.
Boy am I glad your Instagram sent me here. This video is great, that looks like way too much fun!
Looks like you guys had an amazing time. Such beautiful country to be spending time in.
Loving the films, can’t wait to see what happens out of the editing booth in the new building.
