In this video I'm gonna give you guys the cost breakdown of my Coyote swapped new edge mustang. Big surprise coming soon for the build guys so don't miss it.
10!!!!!!! Wtf Hell yeah you straight hustlin!!!! Ive picked blocks, heads, headers, for pennies. If you look hard enough people usually give you a bargain, I normally sell my stuff for cheap and give people the opportunity for a good deal, nice car !!!!
Did a full 03 cobra swap in 2006 for 10k including a solid 99 roller. Donor cobra had 7900 miles. 10k all in included BBK full length headers, cold air intake, 2.8 pulley and a Diablo tuner. For anyone interested I'll sell whole car for 10k.
Got a brand new Gen 3 still with the fomoco oil filter from the factory for $1,800. Granted the plasma coating on the cylinders was shot. Now it’s sleeved with billet I-beams and diamond pistons. I’ll have my 76mm on3 kit today!
Not a bad deal considering everything you got in it. A Coyote the way you want it, beefed up a bit. I would pay the same to put a Coyote in my 68, but that means a lot more work just to get it road ready so you having a base that could handle that conversion with some work is not bad at all. Im looking at doing this one day on my 68, but for now I wanted a Coyote powered Stang so got myself a 2012 GT/ CS. Ive had my 68 since 99 and ever since I saw the 05 concept I fell inlove, but decided I would take the dive now. Instead of just waiting in which life will keep making you wait unless you jump on it
A coyote in a 68 mustang would be awesome! The new 7.3 Godzilla engine they came out with would be cool to swap into something also. Might do that as a future project for the channel.
Also another note about the coyote brenspeed did a "high mile coyote" build the car had 165k miles on it they tore it down to upgrade it and it was basically prestine inside and didn't even need anything they was just tearing it down to upgrade stuff but that just goes to show how awesome the coyote motors are and that even with higher miles they can look good inside the motor if taken care of (not saying yours has higher miles I'm just saying). Awesome car!
It definitely depends on how someone took care of it. Some people extend oil changes way too long and they get like a varnish on them. And some engines look brand new inside at 200k.
Another solid option is build the tr3650 5 speed. They can be built for about 1000 bucks pretty strong and it bolts right to the coyote and its lighter than the t56 so that is another good option. I do like the t56 tho it's nice having that "in between" gear that 5th becomes in the 6 speed. It's particularly nice when you're running 4.10 gears you got that extra gear between your 1:1 and your OD.
As far as I know, the cheapest way to get a coyote is an F150 coyote, which usually cost about half of what a Mustang coyote costs, but you'll have to put Mustang cams in them to get them to make power. Its more work, but its cheaper.
Yes the f150 coyote is the cheapest but I believe at least gen 1 f150 motors are weaker than the mustang engines. I could be wrong but something to consider.
Not worth it at that price when you can get a 2015 Musta g GT for the money. If it was cost effective it would be tits but the chassis and suspension on an S550 is way better.
Congrats on your build.. I'm a 2v guy, Panther guy at that.. i love the red New Edge n wheel combo too.. Better a Coyote than an ls, eww..lol i'm 309rwhp 321rwtrq on my 09 P71, i'm afraid to put the MMR 5.0 1,000rwhp stroker kit i bought for my 2v since it runs so good right now, would hate to lose it's reliability the 2v is known for if not built right..lol Only 84k miles on my P71..
While the coyote is a great platform it’s still not a good cost to power ratio. U can boost the 2v with fuel system, rods pistons and make more. That’s just me tho. But clean build sir.
It's a big debate but honestly to make a 4.6 stock make 450 wheel you're already looking at the cost of a coyote. Then to have it make power capable of close to 1000 hp you're talking even more money. Most of what I did the t56, fuel system, Holley, tubular k member etc didn't correlate with the coyote specifically. They would've been things that would've been done if i went big power on a 4.6 anyways. I'm throwing a turbo kit on this one and if ever wanted to drop the 1500 bucks to forge the bottom end your talking hp numbers that the 4.6 wouldn't be reliable at. No hate I appreciate the food for thought.
😂😂😂😂 so basically boost and a build a 2v just to make what a basic bolt on coyote makes?? Yes ive had boosted 2v’s its a fun car boosted but no where near what a coyote motor can do especially when you throw it in a light chasis like the new edge
@@jessefrias2575 if u read my comment and actually took it in, you would understand. He spent over 20 k. For little over 400hp. Drop that into the 2v and u gonna make more then that. Rods pistons boost and the fuel system, ur making more then a coyote. The coyote has more potential but u still have to boost that as well 🤦♂️. The weak point with the 2vs are the rods and pistons
@@Jsta2v_racing unless you’re deep into the racing scene, how many sane people will drop 20k on a 2v??? I have a cousin with well over that into a built 2v (aluminator block, boost, fuel system, suspension the whole 9) and makes 560 wheel on 17-18psi.
@@jessefrias2575 then he needs a new tuner or something is wrong. I am make over 800 at 18lbs and I got probably 20k or more in it. I’m just saying cost to power ratio, ur better off with rids pistons and boost in the 2v
@@tsbperformance1531 awesome thanks for the information man! Great video. Looking to buy a stock 4.6, enjoy it and possibly Coyote swap or Supercharge in the future. I love the body style of the new edge
He actually had a mach 1 with a bad bottom end and was planning on coyote swapping it, but decided he didn't want to anymore because of the difficulty, and was selling the car with everything to swap it. I came along and offered him to use my engine slap his 4v heads on it and the pro charger and in turn I would take the coyote and swap parts and he agreed.
Way too expensive to do a Coyote swap and way to many support parts to make it work right.I already have the Tfs heads and cams on my 02 gears , frame connectors ect ect. I would recommend to a 2V owner, heads cams and a Kenne Bell if you want serious power and it’s waaaaay easier and less costly.
Except that's only gonna get you to around 450 wheel and that's it for the 4.6's bottom end then it's time to build and spend more money. A lot of the modifications I did to this car don't directly correlate to the coyote swap and are more of an upgrade you would do to the 4.6 anyways to get to that power. Tubular subframe same as a 4.6 if you want to save weight, t56 same thing you'll need for a 4.6 if you want to handle power, fuel system same thing if you want more than 400 wheel, etc. You can do this swap much cheaper I just chose to upgrade the car while I'm at it. The car was a pro charged 4.6 and wasn't impressive to say the least. Spent more time broken then on the road.
22k for a swap where you can get a mustang with a coyote already doesn't make financial sense. The only reason why this build exist is that the dude wants it that way Other than that buy the mustang with the coyote already installed
Except it weighs less already has oil pump gears, has a t56 instead of a garbage mt82, has a Holley for boost control/nitrous control, better suspension, and isn't the same regurgitated car as every other one at car shows. But to each their own.
No hate there's just multiple ways to look at it. Also I prefer the new edge styling. Just my opinion though I understand why some would want to just spend the money and have instant gratification.
@@tsbperformance1531 that's exactly what I said. This build only exists because you want it to Besides no one can see all those parts you installed without lifting the hood or telling them. The majority of people judge off appearance and you can't change that. My comment is finance based comment
Get that $22k mustang/coyote and then start adding all your "extra stuff" you want to make it handle/perform better and it jumps pretty fast and turns into a >$30k mustang. Or, you can purchase that KB or Vortec and spend countless $$$ getting that setup and have a "special tune" and run race gas, etc. Price jumps there too. Just a matter of opinions. 🤷♂
I don't understand you spent 7k on the car....traded parts for parts you needed and then listed the price those parts would have cost and subtracted them from the overall price why exactly....you didn't spend 50 on a roller bro you spent 7 grand....your math doesn't make sense lol if you didn't sell those parts and you put them on the car you don't just take them off the price of the car like that lol..
How did I spend 7k on a roller? If i traded my engine setup for a 4k+ engine plus sold the trans driveshaft old ecu etc? The other way you can look at is I paid 7k for a roller coyote swap parts and a coyote. Which i would've had to buy those anyways and wouldn't have had items to sell if i paid 7k for a roller? I don't understand your point of view or your purpose with this comment other than to troll?
Something I definitely want to do in the future. Not a whole lot used running around though so that leaves just crates. Maybe once we start seeing them pulled from wrecked trucks I'll do one on a fox body and make some videos for y'all.

It cost me $23k to swap a Dart-block 427W Windsor stroker/Tremec MagnumXL into my 2012 Mustang back in 2014.

Definitely true I just switched to the t56 because I had a t45 which is harder to find parts to build them to be strong.
The right way to see it is you got 15k of value for 7500 dollars…. Hell of a deal and nice looking car m8!
Btw you got a hell of a deal. It goes to show you can have a coyote swapped new edge for not nearly as much money as most people think it is.
