  • The biographer of Steve Jobs and Leonardo Da Vinci was with Elon Musk through the most turbulent days of his life to date. He takes us into the psyche of the world’s richest man.
“I need to shift my mindset away from being in crisis mode, which it has been for about fourteen years now, or arguably most of my life” - Elon Musk
For two years, internationally bestselling biographer and former editor of Time magazine Walter Isaacson shadowed Elon Musk, attended his meetings, walked his factories with him, and spent hours interviewing him, his family, friends, co-workers, and adversaries.
Now he joined Matthew d'Ancona in London to share the ultimate inside story of the most controversial innovator of our era: at once a rule-breaking visionary who helped to lead the world into the era of electric vehicles, private space exploration, and artificial intelligence, and a man-child prone to Jekyll and Hyde mood swings with a craving for drama and a maniacal intensity that is callous and at times destructive.

Musk doesn’t have to provide a wealthy lifestyle for his children that he does not live on himself. He’s punishing his child.

While Bill Gates has become rich by luck and opportunity, Elon Musk has his current businesses as a result of actual insight and intelligence.
While Gates have had 20 years to read books, he still leave the impression of not being among the brightest lights, at least not in relation to insight into natural sciences. Buying land is a good idea, half of USA, investing in old nuclear tech within the wrong branches is not a good plan. Shorting Tesla certainly is dumb -- Gates would look much, much clever if he actually acknowledged the work and insight of Elon Musk. No one creates a handful of billion dollar companies without intelligence.
Elon Musk -- there is and will be no comparison. So much hate against him -- I hope that Bill Gates and others, who cannot repeat, what they have done, but are set for multiple lives, wake up and support and praise Elon.
