    That was dope. You don't see Blackstone do many interviews. Adam and Pino are the two greatest active journeymen bassists alive - boundless musical vocabulary and incomparable taste.

    Been an AB fan from before his stardom. Great guy, great musician.
    If you wanna see that Lakland Skyline really shine, search “Jill Scott Soulstage”. That whole set is amazing. Adam did all the arrangements, the kid drummer is awesome, and AB KILLS the bass!

    I love that he uses production model basses, and not even the crazy expensive ones! Lakland Skyline stuff, etc. I had a Lakland Skyline 55-01 years ago, but sold it when I was broke as shit. I still regret it!

    Great review of Adam’s instruments. My favorite review would be Marcus Miller’s instruments, especially the ones he uses in the studio. He has an impressive collection outside of his world famous 77 jazz bass.

    I sold Adam a 6 string ken smith bass around 2000 after we went to a jazz camp together. Never got to see him play it but I am sure it was put to good use. Love his playing!

    I was a bike messenger in phila around the time he was recording. I used to get jobs delivering stuff in plain brown paper bags, no questions asked, to quest loves studio when they were all there recording.
