Yes the colour is very attractive Anders. I agree with you.
Wonderful thank you
Welcome 😊
Very beatifull work...
If you could come with a specific video about grafiting tecnics would be wonderfull.
Great, thanks Antonio. We will do that. Emile has a lot of experience with grafting a variety of species. When the season is right I am sure we can do something.
Super handy info, just got my first jwp here in NZ. I'll send my friend in SA to your nursery
Awesome I am sure Emile and Bonga would like to show him around.
Great video, I appreciate you guys being specific about what season you do certain work on a pine! Very helpful as I don’t want to guess at it. Looking forward to another video in the spring, thank you from Northern California 👍🏻
Glad to help Kurt! Sometimes I forget to mention the season, but I always try to remember.
What an extremely helpful video. It would be really interesting if you could make the second visit to Emile's place you mentioned at 19:40 please. Look forward to seeing that one.
If time allows I will do so Mike, thank you.
Very good information, it is a shame that is almost imposible to get a white pine in my country!!
Thats interesting, most countries seem to allow the import of white pine. You could consider cedrus sp. as a substitute perhaps, can you get that Sabik?
Yes there is, do you recomend a especial species. Here in mexico theres is a lot of native pines, but we need to learn how to train it as bonsai, because nowbody did before in the past.
@@sabikmercuriobravo5976 awesome! Let me know which ones you get and then I can perhaps comment on the best ones.
So trots op jou Emile
Thanks for watching.
"Till we see the candles pushing" ... meaning Fertilizing even through "Winter"?
Fertilizer that you add now can simply be left on the soil, even when depleted but no, you do not feed actively in winter. The temperature is too low for organic to work and besides the trees sapflow is minimal and therefore fertilizer is wasted. Autumn as a season is one of the best time to fertilise white pines.
@@TerryErasmusbonsai thank you.
Something else from the video ... did Emile remove ALL the 2 year old needles during Autumn maintenance? Was wondering if it won't weaken the branches ... or are those needles basically "spent" and of little value to the tree?
elbie taljaard. No did not remove all 2 year old needles, remove mostly on bottoms and at bifercations, and we leave 2 year old needles if any at areas you wish to have buds in future.
@@emiledb Thank you. Hope you will do a future vid on White Pines.
Hi Terry, how does one contact Emile to visit his nursery? I can’t find a website or any details online. Andrew
