Sometimes I’ll die like insanely fast (like fking exploded) and it’s usually to a pred team. If you’ve played this game long enough you’ll know or at least have a six sense for when something feels un natural. Yes sometimes you’re wrong but I’d say over half the times you feel like they’re cheating they probably are.

True. I used to climb Masters every season and suddenly this S20 I couldn't get pass D4 lol. I thought I was just bad but this explains everything + I only play Asia servers.

Issue is that this pushes the entire rank ladder down. There's people that could be a rank higher, but because of the cheaters, they aren't. They then gatekeep other people of lower skill level from progressing, and you end up feeling the effect of cheating all throughout the ranking ladder.
If cheats didn't exist, it'd be like some parallel universe where you see ppl who've been pushed down actually at the top and streaming or in esports. Names we've never even heard of. But the selfish cheaters are unregulated.
This is in all aspects of life right now too not just gaming. Sucks

Imagine a BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY doesn’t invest in anti cheat. That’s like having a museum with thousands year old artifacts with no security I just can’t with EA.
While I feel you and agree with the sentiment. EA is the billion dollar company, not respawn. And apex is probably not at the top of their list. I can’t imagine how much money they make from sports games and the micro transactions in those games… just imagine FIFA’s revenue and they drop a new FIFA and a new Madden every single year

@@Focus716 Apex is a billion dollar cash cow. There was leaked audio of a meeting where one of the EA executives was boasting about it one time. This game makes EA crap tons of cash being a online shooter, and yet they cheap out on probably one of the key things a online game shouldn't cheap out on? And then you got that numpty hideouts on holiday every other month, jumping into pro players chats, acting like he's all that. Unless they hire more experenced cyber security analysts who know what they are doing so they can implement the updated anitcheat into the system, the game will forever remain a joke.

Idk why these expert marketers and business ppl of Ea and respawn don't realise yet that these skins and heirlooms lose their value/demand when the itself game is unplayable to the average consumer. Just because the game security team is on fire right now (trying to fix these issues) doesn’t mean that the marketing team gets put on pause from meeting their goals set out for them by EA on their own schedule.
Remember that the people working on patching exploits and their anti cheat are completely separated from whatever marketing does please.
These guys come into work, and take all the heat from the community because the other team in their corporation has a much easier line of work to follow through on.
Apex is absolute riddled with cheaters right now. Cant even be bothered playing.

this would make sense, if everyone in masters and preds are cheating that means that non cheater preds/masters would be pushed down to diamond and maybe plat and that pushes all ranks down. thats why apex has been so sweaty lately.

It's so messed up , that's why you fight and it's unatural, you don't get a chance to RELOAD or back up , just insta beamed etc.
Honestly props to the cheater boys for being open and honest and overall giving us an insight into how ludicrous this epidemic actually is, never thought i'de be thanking a cheater but honestly i appreciate their honesty. I've quit Apex as of now because I was having so much fun at the start of the season and thought this would be the season i finally get out of being hardstuck diamond and into masters but nope the second i get to d4 or even high plat its just cheater central. Also, props to you Zeus for the speech at 12:35 it's very much needed to highlight that this isn't the devs fault and that the everlasting grip of EA is really fucking them in the ass. It's no wonder they're having such a hard time when all EA gives them a budget for is new skin releases and other cash-grab cosmetic events while simultaneously getting rid of core members of the dev team that have been trying they're hardest to keep these cheaters out of our game. If this doesn't wake them up i don't know what will and I'm scared apex might meet the same fate as Titanfall 2. Respawn has made some beautiful games in their time and truly has some amazing talent in their dev team, its just a shame EA dosn't see how they impact this poor company (or worse they probably do but don't care aslong as they see $$$) and only focus on profit margins and squeezing that cash cow udder dry. Who knows maybe if ea wasn't so controlling and profit centric Titanfall 2 would be a house hold name and Apex would actually be playable but if they wanna ruin it for everyone at respawn and every fan of respawn then i truly believe people (at least myself) will never buy nor play an ea title game again.

@@drewdeathless idk i guess what i was tryna say is the minority of cheaters have started becoming the majority because so many of the newer cheaters (and some of the older ones) have become so sick of playing against cheaters every game when they've been playing legit that they've just decided to join the cheaters and its because they know so many people have adopted this mindset they feel it's justified and necessary to even feel happy while playing apex anymore. This is essentially what happened in my Minecraft factions analogy. Cheating has become so casual in this game that really to them it isn't a big deal at all and honestly it's not a big deal for me anymore aswell, I've moved on from apex and have hardly been playing it in recent weeks and I've had so much fun on all these other games. Ill never cheat or hack on apex because my account has memorys on it, the same way I've never taken any offers people have given me to buy my Minecraft account, sure I could and get some sweet $$$ but I have memories on that account so I never will inorder to keep them memory safe.
They're being upfront, but still fuck these guys. When I'm playing and just get shat on, to think these people are cheating and being so ok with it annoys me.

Sucks ik because apex is such a fun game, but there's lots of fun games out there, im sure u can find a new one you like or an old game u haven't played in a while or most likely you probably already have a game you enjoy. If apex really is the fix you want tho, try getting some friends together in the shooting range and play tag, use what ever guns you want as the tagger, runners can play as any legend they like and use any abilities they like, its quite fun especially if you get 2 mates in on it! :))

How is it possible on console? How can you get a wall hacking or aim bot on console. To my knowledge it’s not possible, sure modded controllers and devices like cronos but they don’t auto aim or show thru walls

Holy shit, I knew I wasn't getting worse at this game. I watch a lot of apex for dumb entertainment here on yt. Zeus, I usually count on you for that. This was actually quite a presentation on how bad the cheating problem really is, and more importantly, that its become part of the cancer culture killing the game. Man, this season started out great. And the gameplay changes and ranked system is also good. It took me 2 days to reach my career high whereas it normally takes me half the season. - But I stopped playing because every game has multiple cheaters using wall hacks. Full purple shields, getting instantly downed out of nowhere with zero time to react. - And it’s sad because they are going to assume the player count dropping is because the changes were not good enough or something. Which isn’t true. It’s the F’ing cheaters.

@@ELpeaceonearth I've been playing for 20 seasons. The start of the season which is usually the hardest was fine. I ranked up in 2 days. After not playing for a month I come back, and I'm getting insta-killed out of nowhere. By this time my lobbies should be easier with everyone being distributed, not harder. And I know the difference between someone who is walling vs not. Not even talking about aim bot here which is hard to prove unless someone is rage hacking. Walling has gotten vastly worse in the past week or two.
And I'm not even talking about "1 mag" where I see the person and lost a 1v1. I'm talking about not even seeing my opponent and I'm instantly down. Zero time to react.

That dude was actually very transparent on why he uses cheats and wasn’t obnoxious about it. It’s the truth, if Apex anti-cheat wasn’t so dog shit so many people wouldn’t cheat. It’s still bad to cheat yes, but some peoples mindset goes like this “if everyone is cheating, and nothing is being done about it then I might as well too”. Chaos all around.
Bit of a weird comparison but that's essentially why i quit Minecraft factions, everyone in that gamemode closet cheats now (cheats but tries to not make it obvious) and its pretty much a requirement now to join any faction that you have and know how to use a hacked client without being detected. There is still some legitimacy in hardcore factions (or hcf for short) but its pretty much the same there aswell. I really don't want to see this happen to Apex Legends because sadly Minecraft factions isn't the only game that has met this fate. If people keep getting away with it, other people just adopt the "if ya can't beat em, join 'em!" mindset and honestly I don't blame em.

So I have known this for sooooo long. Literally in season 7, 1 in 3 games you would have at least one cheater. You can only imagine how bad it would be now. I have known and see the progression get worse and worse. THANK YOU for talking about it. This should have been fixed a long time ago. The more we address it and spread awareness the bigger the priority the developers will have to focus on it. Thank you!
Completely agree, it completely destroyed arenas from the moment it was released aswell which makes me so sad because arenas was really enjoyable especially when the match making did its job and actually gave you well matched teammates or even when they brang customs out. But nope it just got so riddled with cheaters they just decided to get rid of it entirely rather than addressing it. Can almost guarantee that was ea forcing respawns hand to put their efforts else wear than actually fix anything in arenas, not to mention the dev team were put so under pressure around that time they would've had no choice but to just ignore arenas and put their efforts into pumping out "content" in order to meet profit margins :/

The funniest thing here is the fact that cheaters are not secretive about it, there are a lot of youtubers who talked with cheaters and the cheaters just straight up told them everything. Most of these cheaters are people who, like us, wanted to enjoy the game but were faced with cheaters and then decided that if Apex won't do anything, they'll just make it as obvious as possible. There is one dude that is so open about it, he levels up quite a bit before Apex does anything. And even then, he just makes a new account and goes again.
People just have FOMO. Just quit the game. As long as everyone keeps cheating EA wins because people are still playing. People like him are the reason we can't have fun. It's not the rage hackers
It feels like the cheating really kicks in once you hit plat. I had some sus moments in quite a few games on my way up to gold, but literally as soon as I crossed that line into plat it's just started to feel like every other team in every game knows exactly where I will peek or beams me from halfway across the map. Super aggressive teams will show up out of nowhere and kill my teammates and I will run to the ends of the map and be completely out of footstep range but they will still chase me down and find me hiding in tightest darkest corner. Not only do they know exactly where I go but they are confident enough to chase me that far without being targeted by other teams because they know there is no one else there.
I have been playing FPS games for so long. I am nowhere near the best but am always a very competent player and you just start to have the feel for what is and isn't possible for most other players to do. Things like reaction times, awareness, aim, snapping, etc. When you shoot a guy that's like 200 meters out with a sniper from solid cover and he turns and hits you with half a mag of his AR within like .5 seconds off your head glitch it's already suspicious. When it happens every other game there is just no way. There are people that are good like that but how am I fighting Shroud every 2nd engagement in plat?
It sucks because it really makes you question yourself. Is it really as prominent as it seems or have I just gotten bad at these games? I am leaning way more heavily toward it being overrun with cheaters just because of how abnormal a lot of engagements feel to what I have been used to for many years.
Console isn't great either. A lot of preds and masters are teaming usually in 6 mans. Most are running console cheats like Cronus, Scripts, Xim, etc. And they get into silver and gold lobbies which I believe is also a glitch that's been in the game for a while but also it can be sbmm shenanigans
facts, a lot of console players cope immensely online about this but the cheating epidemic is a cross platform apex legends issue and has been for quite some time.

I have plenty console clips of 6 man preds in my silver gold and plat games, I have clips of their ridiculous recoil control which some may very well be good but I doubt every console pred has genuine Genburten high sens with zero recoil. Not to mention a lot of other games in the high ranks on console cheaters are an issue, Siege is a great example

They aren't licensed that's why you can no longer use the old versions after Microsoft and Sony updated the consoles to not recognize them as legitimate inputs. Console just got Cronus kids with Recoil script you can shit on them easily if you have good aim and game sense. Wall hacks is another ball game entirely, Along with the other suite of cheats PC has access to that console doesn't like magic bullet (seen in the clip where the guy was hitting every shot with havoc hipfire at range) aimbot, speed hacks, jump hacks, etc.

my theory is that EA or respawn is trying to purposely kill this game in preparation for something new or some other reason. The next heirloom(s) are a cash grab before they announce something new like a new game or something. What does this mean for the pro players of this game? i have no idea but I'm open to hearing other theories.

No lie, I never assumed anyone was ever cheating, legitimately, until I learned about the Cronus Zen, and me knowing how intrinsically shameless people are about doing immoral shit if they knew nobody would know. Now I can't kick the thought from my head when playing these types of games, with how frequently I get absolutely lasered by people in almost any fps.
It's gotten to the point that running into someone that actually misses shots is more rare than being 360 no scoped from around a corner by a level 4.

ive realised in apex that mostly everybody has a seasen 19 masters or pred badge which as u know was the seasen of camping for rp....ive played with dudes with a masters badge and they were worse than me, their movement were complete utterly dogshit,i also realised that they cant even controll their camera sense

Insane how if you get bored of the game instead of switching games you cheat, then get ur main banned for cheating then continues to cheat. It just sounds like an excuse to cheat cause if you’re bored of the game then stop playing, I love apex and the titanfall universe but I got bored the season catalyst came out, so I stopped playing apex since then, I love the game, love the gun play, love the lore, but hate the gameplay so I stop playing.

I have so many sus clips where either the other guy is cheating or it shows how bad theirs servers refresh / tick rate is.
I think it is even more important to give the servers a higher refresh / tick rate.
They still have 20 and other fps like overwatch and csgo have 64. Even fortnite has 30 and valorant has 128.
It is literally the fps with the worst refreshrate and it is one of the biggest cash cows.
Played Apex from the beggining, stopped due to cheaters, the game is doomed if EA wont get their heads out of their investor asses and actually invest in a proper anti cheat.

I wouldn't be surprised if they let the game die. They've made plenty of cash, and it sounds like they haven't been hitting their financial targets/goals lately, so ... They'll just cut investments and ride-out the current state for as long as they can.
In other words, there's no point for them to spend more money if profit is on a downward trajectory and if they can continue to make at least some profit with little-to-no expenditure.
In a nut-shell: this might explain why we see so many terrible recolors as of late.
I want to agree but they do at least try to make changes unlike other popular games. Balance changes whether we like it or not. Stuff doesn’t get done in a timely manner in my opinion but they at least put in effort unlike other games

What is the worst is when they lag freeze you then you lose the fight because of it. Or when you put a lot of damage into them and they instantly knock you.

Valorant uses kernel level access to do its hardware ban which is considered more of a security risk, If their anti cheat gets hacked the hackers have access to all information stored on user's pc . If apex goes about that route im definitely taking it off my pc lol I have way too much sensitive information on there for work and so forth.
Easy Anticheat is kernal level access.

I stopped playing for a bit came back this season got to diamond and then all of a sudden I've had multiple games where it feels like people are using walls. It's just so pathetic. I've also noticed a lot of teaming. Teams from across helping other teams that we have knocks on then i stay and they don't even get pushed it's insane. They just ape us to help them then the other team lets them reset for free. The game's integrity is down the drain.

From the IT perspective all companies messed up by over paying devs...they should be making between 100 to 150k not 300+ to work a few hours...the budgets are all screwee up and that leaves little money for anything else esp when IT is on the bottom of the list but we are the backbone of the company...blame money hungry execs in these orgs and piss poor comp structures
Overpaid incapable leads and management. Dev does what they have been told to do, they don't make decisions and thry have to do things before time and that is what makes things inefficient like fix this by putting a band aid
Thats a goofy take lol. A good dev is worth their weight in gold, they make a company so much money. The problem isn't the devs, its the amount of money left for the anti cheat.

I literally just built a PC two weeks ago and have been trying to play Apex on the PC instead of my Xbox... And it is crazy how much harder and worse it is on PC.

i was diamond 1 and now im all the way back to d3. Its so frustating. i got killed by an obvious cheater every second round this weekend. they really need to do something with the cheating abuser in higher ranks. it literally breaks my motivation to grind.

I think the saddest part about cheaters even in diamond is that they play like actual players. like most of them are probably plat in reality and actual TRY while cheating. that rampart played angles and played in a way to "hide" like, why?You need the imaginary badge in the game that bad?

When you get to see the death cams in the LTM it makes you feel like everyone is cheating. Hard to know who is and who is just on roller anymore. I'm a dad who games, so I get at max 8 hours to play games per week. Every time I choose Apex I feel like I wasted my time playing and end up frustrated by end of the session.
this is crazy to here about the crouch thing. I was in a final ring two team earlier where we had high ground and I could see one of the guys in the building through the window doing the crouch thing. I thought that was the sign for let's fist fight, but he wasn't dropping any of his stuff. We lost that fight, and now I am wondering if that is what they were doing.

Already knew this. Started learning movement last month and still get destroyed all over the place by people with walls. Even had a random teammate that was cheating and using his walls. Took 9 of his kills and stopped his 20 bomb.

At the beginning of the season I was still hitting Master and now I can only manage slide 4 to 3. There are just too many Rage cheaters / boosters out there

ive been playing apex since the first day it released, i love the game, but i literally refuse to play anymore until they do something, im sick of all the cheaters, its actually insane that EA have sooo much funds and do literally nothing to combat this, they dont even try, its actually just sad
Will anything be done about this? I was thinking of returning to Apex but if its that bad i dont want to bother.
And not only this, but I can't even play Apex casually because it's very unfriendly to a solo player and the players I tend to meet are actually Diamond / Masters. And then combined with this cheating scandal, I really doubt their matchmaking system even gives us the right people to play with and against.

I stopped playing ranked. I have limited time and it’s not worth the feeling of hopelessness when I’m hoping for fun. Occasional disappointment is expected, but the hopelessness is just not bearable. LTMs for me, if that (cause of course, they are there too).
Yea, I've been playing since first day of season 1 also, and I stopped playing 3 months ago, for this exact reason. Freaking cheaters everywhere... your video was very interesting and confirmed what I already new... as long as EA doesn't fix the game I won't be playing anymore. It's a pity coz it's still my favorite game... sad about it...
