    Such a beast of a bike. Pit Bull.

    I would think Harley-Davidson mid controls are just more bad engineered that the forward controls( I feel the stock handle bar height is just not good for mid controls on any Harley-Davidson)…in the softail range I think the Fat Bob doesn’t look from bygone era… the Harley-Davidson engineered fat in the middle drag bars giving more leverage to turn the bike… stock acceptable rear suspension travel …the 3.5 Gallon tank gives the engine a prominence…. This is the best looking softail I thought…

      Compared to Dynas/Sportsters mids, I like the new mid controls on the softails. The Fat Bob handled great, but I don't like the new tank badging or the wheels. Kursi originals did a Fat Bob build recently, I liked some of the changes they made to it.

    Fwd vs Mid controls is definitely a preference. I'm 5'5" and I love my Fat Bob 114. My calves do get close to the hot pipes and derby cover, but nothing a little foot placement won't fix. I have strong legs, so the forward controls actually feel comfortably aggressive to me while mid controls will start to decrease blood supply and cramp up a leg or two after awhile. Only 2 things I don't like about the Fat Bob is the 3.5 gal tank (I agree with you there), and the big stock air filter irritates my right knee. The air filter is an easy fix, but upping the tank will take some creativity.

      It’s a good looking bike, and fun to ride. I like the big tire
      on the front for riding, but I much prefer compromising on the suspension for looks with a narrow 19” wheel.

    Mid controls, 6” riser and moto bars and this is the best handling harley on the planet

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  Před 2 lety +2

      That front tire handles like a champ, should've been shipped with mids for sure.

      Hbi 2-1 and a thundermax tune maybe some carbon fiber from @ la fairing

  • @evil_musclemuscled3814

    Homie. First time I seen this bike I thought it was funky with some good designs . Now I'm thinking it's more of a bad AZ bike but ditch the balloon tires,lower the rear fender some . Get one in all gloss black and put a 135 in it or at least beef up the engine . The headlight is another thing I'm liking

    Its a great Bike...Only Bad thing for me is no 5gal tank...Foward Controls or Floorboards is a must for me...I have a 34in inseam...Side note... The big 130/90/16 tire soaks up the Road bumps and on the Interstate the road grooves dont affect the steering like the Skinner tires do...

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  Před 2 lety

      Same here, gotta have that 5 gallon tank. The 3.5 gallon tank bikes needed refilling halfway through the event, I was riding the Sportster S with the gas indicator light on.
      The Fat Bob handled better on that back road, it was rough going through it at 70 with other models. The Sportster S also handled it just fine.

    Great test ride route bro. Dealership already have a route or they just let you go out and ride?

      Yep, they let us enjoy these bikes to the fullest. It was the same experience with the Pan Ams

    The fat bob 114 was my favorite softail until I rode a low rider S.
    I really don’t like the new tank badging of this bike or the fact that it’s only 3 and a half gallons. Definitely not a fan of the forwards either.
    Overall it’s a killer looking bike for sure. If I could get a second softail, it would probably be the fat bob.

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  Před 2 lety +1

      I agree with you on everything. I've taken friends and family to the dealer and most are drawn to the Fat Bob. I like the overall look, just needs that bigger tank and mids.

    I owned a 18 Fat Bob and it was great but my wife was miserable. Even after putting on a Sundowner seat. The stock seat was perfect I’m 5”7 myself but love won over😁 I traded it in on a 2020 Performance Orange Sport Glide I’m happy and my wife is happy in fact she loves it😎

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  Před 2 lety

      The rear fender sits higher and it's tapered on the Fat Bob. I'm sure someone out there makes a decent 2-up seat for the Fat Bob.

      @@InfamousCreep nope I changed it two a Sundowner as well, foot position put more pressure on her tailbone. I loved the stock seat just as much. I bought the wrong bike for the application 😎

    The only thing that bothers me is that the handlebar in this video is not centered

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  Před 2 lety

      I noticed that too, but I didn't feel it in the handlebars?? She rode great 👍

  • @darktimbercustomknives6248

    With forwards I always want floorboards

  • @evil_musclemuscled3814

    As is it is more of a hotrod look

      Exactly 💯 💯 but with a reduced rake and better handling

  • @thelost_woods
    @thelost_woods Před 2 lety

    Always baffled how the Fat Bob makes it past the chopping block every year. Way too expensive to have a 3.5 gallon tank.

    • @InfamousCreep
      @InfamousCreep  Před 2 lety +1

      The FXDR was chopped within it's first year. I don't understand how it survived considering the Low Rider FXLR was discontinued in 2020??

      @@InfamousCreep thats was my biggest let down when they axed the 107 low rider As a fan of chromed out 1970s looking bikes the low rider 107 was in my opinion the best looking Harley in the lineup for awhile. I wonder if it'll ever come back. Maybe one day down the road they'll make the low rider s in a chrome and color version
