The Polished Alloy RÜNGE RS012

- The latest creation from RÜNGE cars, the RS012 features a steel tube frame design, mid engine 2.3L flat four air cooled power plant mated to a 4 speed gearbox. The body is hand formed .063” 3003 H14 aluminum. Stopping power comes from German CSP 5x205 disc brakes. The wheels are Tecnomagnesio 5.5x15” with Pirelli CN36 Tires. The windscreen is Porsche 906.

This is one of the most beautiful examples of automtive sculpture ever created.
That thing is just crazy. I think I would rather have this car over some random supercar. I think men instinctively like shiny.... and holy crap, now your driving around a mirror! It looks like art. It looks like it connects you to the road. It looks well laid out and easy to work on. It even sounds amazing! What a car!

The thing i love about your cars, they're not perfect. Every detail has the human element of presence in them. Supecars, hypercars... too perfect, too machine. No soul, no love in them past, maybe the artist's intent. These hand crafted cars, every detail is beautifully toiled over until it forms a beautiful classic.

There are certain vehicles that are more than the sum of their parts and function; they have the spirit of their designer in them and those are the ones that become legends. I’ve always thought of aesthetics as being the physical manifestation of a certain way of looking at the world, a filter-or maybe more accurately a kind of lens that focuses the mind and senses, priming and sensitizing them for a greater appreciation of what life has to offer. Like a gateway to get to a place above the daily hum, and your cars-especially this one-are such a refined and elegant statement of that. As a work of art, this belongs in the world, being used-not in museum somewhere-because I can see the real appreciation of this car is in the driving experience. Not looking in from the outside, but being inside it looking at the countryside flow by. I’m glad your out there making things like this, your an inspiration!
My God this car is absolutely perfect in every single way. I don't think I would sleep for months if that was in my garage. The eye candy is just on another level. Utter perfection 👍🏻👍🏻

I've watched a few of your videos today and have just subscribed.
Since being a teenager I've dreamed of designing and building a car from the ground up. Sadly now in my 40's without the necessary space, equipment, skills or budget it's unlikely to ever happen. This really takes me back to the hours spent at my draftsman board almost three decades ago.
Your creations really are inspired, one of a kind metal bodied cars. I couldn't even create the space to assemble a glass fibre kit.

I would love to see how you do the electrical part of this. The wiring an headlight assembly,battery etc. when you have time or desire. I’m just in the middle of a restoration an electrical now an days is so nice with LED an xenon products and with wire hiding. Thanks brother your a true artist.

Well Chris, you've gone and done it again! Another beautiful blend of machine and art and stunning craftsmanship. Cool gauges too. I see lots of Carrera 904 in the features and curves and some 906 with the gull wing doors.

Chris, you’ve been steadily improving your designs over time and this car is your best yet. Beautifully balanced styling to my eyes. I’m very fond of the camm tail which finishes the back end off to perfection. Wonderful❤️
The interior captures the aesthetic you’re striving for in classical detail.
On a practical note, does that highly polished instrument binnacle and dash top reflect in the windscreen when the sun catches it?
I added a few polished metal parts to the inside of my car and they can dazzle occasionally when bright sunlight catches them right 😁

I am very impressed with your car, the craftmanship, and attention to detail. Good design is a balance of purpose and emotion inspired details. Your car is just the right balance. Some people who do restomods on 911's don't get it. They get way too fussy and busy. Especially in some interiors I have seen. I really like the exterior shape, evocative of many of the great cars of the 60's.
food for thought : the labels under the switches (if you tig welded studs) you could hold in place with a blind fastener , eliminating the rivets
