Filling up holes with rust, I call him non professional. Teaching other's to do a shit job 👏👏
Maybe you have a good future in becoming a car painter
Could have narrated himself and it would have been watchable
It's a great job compared to what the car was before. He didn't spend thousands at a garage having the paint job done. He did it himself. Lots of work involved but pretty inspiring.
Do you know painting

That was inspiring ? Lol
Beautiful Renault indeed after the paint job.
No one is talking about what a master piece of editing and recording this was. Hope this guy is making good money off this video you can tell he really takes pride in everything he does. Car looks great.
How did I finish this 27 minute video when I don't even have a car 😅
Why don't you have a car
@@Black.Sabbath maybe he is a kid or maybe he can't effort it yet
U will have one one-day so this is still usefull
Soon or later brother you will have trust me. Keep dreaming keep grinning. god bless
Is it perfect? No... but he did it in his driveway. I think it’s a pretty freaking good job for a driveway paint job. You work with what you have. At least he attempted to do something as opposed to leaving derogatory comments on someone else’s video for something you would never attempt. Most people will pay someone else to do something any more. It makes me sick. Do it yourself and learn something! Will it be perfect? No... but the next ones will be better and better.
You're right, I've been planning on doing this on an older car as a project in the next 8 months
I praise his efforts also
@@rhysevans8691 Yeah, I'm about to give it a shot myself. On a 01 Accord.

The paint work done outside was pretty impressive, some things that people should avoid if you want it to look extremely good is to weld pieces of metal in areas that have holes like in the rust area you have.
It's better to cut it out and weld a piece of metal because using that much body filler will eventually crack the paint. Another thing is before applying the coat of primer to the whole car, it is better to sand the hole thing out first until you get it to bare metal because it will adhere better, when laying the paint on top of a surface that's not well prepared will also crack the paint in the future.
Last thing, is to always remove all trim pieces, I saw that you left the black trim on the front bumper and on the doors. Taping is eh and the paint wont cover everything and since the paint under the trim isn't removed, that can cause the paint to start peeling off.
Just my piece of advice for anyone who's trying this at home.
Horse shit
Yes because the average Joe knows how to weld at home
What grit sandpaper do you use to get the car down to bare metal?
@@ceecee8507 I don't know how to weld. I'd ask someone that does.
@cee cee If u can't weld just use longstrand fiberglass,
I came away with a greater appreciation for professional paint jobs...
This paint job was fuckin amazing. He shoots way better than a lot of guys that shoot in booths. Yall are killing me with the "It's perfect...considering it was done outside". Hell....It's way more perfect than a lot of other guys so beat it lol
A list of the products used would be nice. Thank you for your time putting this together. Looks amazing
all foreign products ! just buy similar at your local stores
just started my hood. this video is my step by step for this project. just sanded down the hood...waiting for it to get a bit warmer outside to start the actual painting...excited....thank YOU!!!!!
how did the whole thing go ?
One incredible and amazing fact about this video is that you did all the works all by yourself 💪Damn keep up the good work .
my guess is. he not gonna do it again. haha
I think this guy did a great job for doing it on his own! Cheers to you, mate!
The fact that this glow up was so incredible and that it was done in a driveway is just- wow...
I totally respect you by doing it all by yourself. DIY to the max. I wish I can do this by myself. If I have the patience and not to breakdown when I mess it up, I would definitely consider this. Repainting car can be super expensive and time consuming. I need to put my car for a month or more to get the paint done. Kudos to you and to us who are trying to do things by ourselves! Love the outcome!
Good job for a garden repaint job on a 400€ car. I have seen a lot of cars being repainted for 2000€ by bad body shops having the same result.and I think you have to give this bloke the credit he deserves painting preping in his garden without any prof tools. I even think he has a little 30liter compressor by the sound of it running all the time lol
braindeado, you better watch the video then you can even see the compressor!

I think for doing it yourself, in your yard and with non professional tools, you did GREAT!
Then again,. what the fuck do you know about a great job

What this gentleman did is super impressive. I could never do something like this at home. This guy is an auto body machine. Good on you, man. I'm very impressed with the results. Cheers from Toronto, Canada.
For following these steps I repainted my motorcycle fairing and it’s really shiny now!! 😍😍
Hats off to you for the time and effort you put in to give that sad looking car a shining new look. Well done. Something sadly I would never have the patience to do myself.
Good on him for trying. I agree with Scott's comments. I'm not a professional spray painter but over the years have sprayed many cars, vans, trucks, boats and even a 26ft luxury cruiser. each time the results get better and better.
We all have to start somewhere and learn as we go. I'm sure his next project will be even better with less work involved. That comes with experience, something the negative commenter's here wouldn't know much about.
Good for him trying,, i think good for him succeeding :)
Great job! I like the video editing as well. Kept my attention. Info on point and not distracting. You should be proud of your hard work.
@M Heisenberg you're an idiot
The better the environment, the less time spent after painting to achieve a mirror finish. This guy did an amazing job under the circumstances. Thanks for taking the time and sharing.
People criticize something they would never attempt themselves. Looks way better than before. It’s not like he’s practicing on a $200k Lamborghini. Good job!

@Peter He didn't need to. As long as he removed all the old clear coat, the primer and new paint will adhere just fine. He was just doing a simple respray. Nothing extravagant.
I think this guy did a great job with his car.
Gotta say having been surrounded by autobody my entire life, the man did a great job 👏 very few differences in how my father did his work in a shop. That being said my old man started under a mango tree and made his way there 😅🤷🏽♂️😂👌

One of the most informative videos I've ever watched. Great job. Thank you.
Love these videos someone takes their car and does a restoration on it and learns new skills The Only thing i would have done differently is use a rust neutralizer like por 15 on the rust damage from a many angles as i could get it in.
Don't listen to these aholes, man!
Considering you did this pain job in the driveway, kudos to you dude! Not sure if it was worth all the sweat, but the finish product is better than what you started with.
A very useful video with very informative commentary. Your car looks so much better now. I can only add that you could have used some rust killer in that hole
Gotta love a homestyle paint job that you can shave in the reflection with! Awesome!
10k FOR thumbs down? Give the man credit for the time spent(and $ of course for his non sponsored products yet recommends it still) and hands on presentation. He also wrote on the disclaimer that he did this "for convenience and educational purposes". I would rather see a raw video like this than one where it is obviously scripted, just talks about what to do and acts like it's cute, yet doesn't show how it's done. This dude does it all. I saw a lot of his videos and man, his know how in any Walking Dead type of situations would bail him out every time, no doubt, unlike some comments here generated by pea brained, Jurassic, "holier than thou" haters who does nothing but put a person down. Keep doing what you're doing by sharing your knowledge and expertise, brother. Well done!

Same here. I was thinking about it and i came across this video. So i dont think about it anymore.

This explains why a paint job cost so much :D
Materials cost keep rising as well. Not to mention the permits needed to maintain a proper work place.
If you do the work properly in a correct environment(indoors), the work is much easier and not as much sanding as this guy.
I was just thinking that lol
RIGHT
@@TNTtheLEGEND its actually more sand coach they're supposed to go to bare metal he went until clear coat was off and till smooth im not am expert but I know some
@@tristinclements5163 Yes and no this would be considered a respray and on a respray you don't need to completely sand down to bare metal just through the clear so you are laying on the old base coat.
Why some people disliked I don’t know but thanks for showing what is involved in full paint job. It’s more than just aiming and spraying.
Best thing about the video was, they didn't bypass the shortcomings. They showed it. That's a good one for a one man show 😊
One of the best tutorials I have watched thus far..thanks for everything I’m a total beginner, did slot of research, ask experts a few questions a few experts didn’t even trust to show me some of their tools even though I’m just going to be working on my personal projects..I am grateful for that though caz it led me to do my own research which made me more confident in doing what I’m about to do..I would have like if u added description or links to purchase the tools u have ..like I say I’m a beginner and this is the first time I saw the machine u used to sand the car after clear coat .please do consider listing tools in the description or even links someone can purchase tools from..never know could be your sale...but I must say very much grateful for this tutorial..

Gosh damn, that is some high quality paint!

great video on a drive way paint job,it’s just what I needed to see. Thank you
That was an impressive amount of work. I hope you enjoy the car and that it serves you well for a very long time.
if anyone is thinking about painting a car or parts yourself I would definitely recommend doing it. Just watch some tutorials and not much can go wrong. I have spray painted a roof spoiler myself with the right paint code and it really wasn't hard at all. Just throw a lot of clear coat on it so you have enough to work with when wet sanding and polishing. To my surprise the paint job looked better than the oem paint in most areas.
have you followed any tutorial that you can link? im thinking of painting my car real soon.
Few mistakes but its a decent job. Don't wax your clear coat wait at least 6 days for it to cure. The longer you wait the better. Not bad for a cheap paint job though
Decent at-home job. Hard work and effort... nothing wrong with that. Good job!!
That is absolutely beautiful. You have a lot of skill and expert techniques.
Look like everyone on here went to school for this 🤨
I did lol
whats youre opinion?
@@dilan234 I think he should've laid the clearcoat on a whole lot thicker to reduce the orange peel. but overall everything he did to correct the orange peel was proper and did a very good job

Wow! I’m exhausted-great job and you did it in your driveway!?!
You did it like a pro man👍
It's a long process but the results are so satisfactory! Good job.
This video is so excellent step by step very clear. Im a student of auto body collision repair and I'm still learning. I want to repaint my Honda Civic but I got some dense to fix no real rust though. I'm trying to figure out if it's all the little dents and how to fix the areas that the clear coat is peeling on. Thanks for this.
This is impressive for a drive way paint job. Now I’m inspired to do my car lol
a few tips to those getting ready to paint a car for the first time. Always follow body lines, so paint the hood front to back, not side to side. Also, for a better result.....wet sand the base coat before clear coat, it will look twice as good, and well worth the extra work. Prep work is 90% of the final look, and doing it in a drive way is not easy, lol. Kudos to this guy. Also....do NOT wax the car....let the car dry for at least a week before you wax, or the wax will seal the paint and it will not finish drying deep in the paint
Absolutely incredible my dude. Black is the hardest color to do also so it really shows off your skills nice job. Nice editing as well dude!!!!!
My respects my friend .this is what I was looking for step by step and the right way!

@@packratrust Haha, yeah could have...

Just robbed a bank, cops saw getaway car.
Plasti Dip is a PITA, I've used it for trim pieces and thats all id ever use it for.
Plasti Dip is pretty good if you know what you are doing, admittedly you
do need a £10,000 spray booth but we use a Spanish product that lays
flatter and smoother and you can now get a machine polishable clear top coat that looks just like 2K clearcoat and is still peelable if you want
to remove it. Most of the jobs we do now are better than a majority of
sheet vinyl wraps, only thing we can't do at the moment is a chrome
finish but I don't think that is far away. The Halo and the Autoflex clears are incredible.
IT SEEms you play gta alot
Hive Mind yes it can be done
Go to pay and spray
My god I feel like this would take me five months!! The dedication! Very impressive.
And...the satisfaction of doing it yourself and most likely doing it better. I no longer let anyone touch my cars or home things - they all cut corners and do subpar work. The days of 'paying for convenience' are over. I''d pay if job was done right, but about 95% of the time it isn't and worse, often needs to be done over. Most cars are not show cars, if it is, pay 0k and get it done right. I don't even let others change my oil (I know exactly what to use, name brand and how to tighten bolt (shops use 10-40 Walmart generic crap for everyone with cheapest filter possible, then strip the pan bolt). Great job, Tuto.
This guy did perfect for outdoor and the amout equipment he has

That was super impressive! Especially for painting outside!
Great video, good paintjob for what conditions it is. Only thing is that rust issues should have been also sanded in the back panal and use a type of rust reformer and prior to priming I would have used a epoxy primer on the bare metal to seal a d protect from elements. Unfortunately all the rust spots will re appear very soon.. but If you just going to flip it to a stranger you get away with it. But since your doing most the work anyway what's 1 more step ..
