This is deep and very understanding. Easing off can be used in various forms in life to increase the quality of life.
With due respect, Although resting and sitting at ease would decrease requirement of sleep quantity, Medically, deep sleep is also very necessary for repair and good cognitive ability. And for deep sleep, quality of sleep is very significant.

I think sleep is important because your full body get to rest. Ice rain and full body rest and that equals to sleep .Sitting down your eyes open and you may be thinking of what to do next I don’t think that’s rest.

Sleep cycle, 90min RAM and Non RAM sleep, our brain does many things that's not done while resting.. quality of sleep is very important for healing, memory ect. There are many peer reviewed research pprs are available. SLEEP IS ESSENTIAL! resting is NOT sleeping.
