I've had pretty good luck with Members Mark Grills. I would purchase their marked down "Pro" series usually for about $300 in the fall on clearance. Then just switch them out about every 3 years. I appreciate your video but sometimes the time and effort isn't worth just starting new. That's why I would never get a weber or any high dollar grill, Id rather just switch them out vs maintain them. The Members mark on clearance strikes the best compromise between cost and a decent grill to last 3 years without any maintenance.

Great video. I just did mine and omitted the igniters. Thx for a wonderful reference!

Great job and you saved a lot of money. That new cooking surface looks really nice. I know you will have it ready for grilling in no time and you will be having that grill loaded down with some great meals. I'll put in my order now for a med well steak, lol.

Haha yeah I haven't cooked steaks in a while, I need to do that! The project turned out to be a tad more than expected, but I had to do it as the grill was a problem with the cooking surface. Happy it's done and have a few more years out of it. Thanks for watching Rita!

Just inherited one of these grills. The lid handle is missing a screw and a bezel. Do you happen to know what size screw for the lid handle? I couldn't get the remaining one out to compare. The user guide has this part already assembled so there are no details. - Thank you!

Are the crossovers really necessary? Good hands on instructional video, thanks.

In my case the crossovers were completely rusted through so I replaced them. The crossovers help carry the gas and flame to each burner to light all in unison with a single ignitor and help keep any 1 burner from burning out. My kit came with them and they have to be removed to get the burners installed anyway so it was easy enough to do them too. Thanks for watching! đŸ› ïž

I have a Member's Mark Pro Series 4-Burner and the flame is too high. Is there a way to adjust the flame?

On my grill, if the knobs aren't turning down the flame, there may be an issue with a damaged/rusted out burner or venturi tubes both of which were replaced in this video. A more rare case for my model would be an issue with the valve and manifold assembly or hose and regulator.

how long have you had this grill before doing this overhaul mind me asking ? have my eyes on one from sams on sale . how do you like the grill ? Thanks

I've had this grill for probably 7-8 years and I really like it a lot. I love that it has 5 burners and lots of room to grill for the family. I do corn on the cob on the grill and that takes up a lot of space, so a larger grill helps.
The grill was just overhauled so that full 7-8 years before I had to do it and I cook year round probably 2x a month so it gets a ton of use (I do cover it all the time). I think it's great for what I do. Thabk for watching! đŸ› ïž
