- I forged this custom hunting knife from 80crv2 steel and did a frame handle construction with a brass guard, black micarta spacer and frame, and desert tan g-10 scales. I also made a leather sheath for the knife. This was a lot of fun to make and It turned out great. Let me know what kinds of videos you want me to make.

Talent, skill, good design and no loud music!
Awesome!
This is the first video of yours that I've come across, and it's the first video I've seen in a while where I thought to myself the whole time "this guy really knows what he's doing." Great work, great process and beautiful result.
Thank you!
Great Job! I prefer all the talking at the end, to me its allows your work to do the talking and even though you might say exactly what you mean, someone might misunderstand. Their is no misunderstanding your results, your great job speaks for itself. Great footage too.
That is a great blade you made. I'm really glad to see you forged it by hand and not just stock removal. You did a great job on that.
Hah nothing wrong with stock removal, its just more fun to play with fire and hammers
Проффессионально и очень красиво. Отличное видео. Великолепный нож.
Professional and very beautiful. Great video. A magnificent knife.
Great job and I love how you did everything pretty much from scratch.
Very nice job. Beautiful knife.!!
Congratulations, great job.
Just saw this......Man that's a good looking knife! Well done! Enjoyed the process and written out instruction/information you added!
this has really motivated me to learn a lot from your video
10/10 on the whole project! Well done 😁👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Man, that thing is beautiful!
Shots and editing soooooo good. The reflection of the knife heating in the forge in the quenching oil...sublime
Thank you! 👊🏼😊🤘🏼
Das hast Du sehr schön gemacht! Das Messer samt der Messerscheide, sieht top aus. Kompliment👍👍
Nicely crafted
Handmade super idea👍
You, sir, are a true craftsman.
Thank you!
This is perfect, video quality is on point, you showed the the right amount of the process, I love the leather work. Just awesome
Thank you!
It’s wet, gross and dirty. Tools break and often the right tool for the job is the one you have close to hand. Beautiful work.
Very nice craftsmanship
Форма ножа хорошая и сама ручка выполнена из качественных материалов и сочетается между собой👍👍👍👌
No music. I like it in diresta style!
I love working with 80crv2. It's good from a kitchen knife all the way up to a brush cutter. That's a good looking blade you made. Me personally I would have left the tang longer for more stability in the handle. But that's just me.
Really nice! Very good job. 👍
Baleze ! Nice knife handmade ! Thanks for the video !

That is one wicked knife. Awesome work mate 👍👌
I like the shop noises. But also like to know some information on what you are doing. So, both talk and no talk.
That "Brass prevents the drill from wandering" trick was new to me. Thanks!
Very nice, try using rubber bands or elastic bands to hold it in place on that anvil. They will help you a lot
Very beautiful knife. Good job.

Really nice neat workmanship. Fantastic.

Moc hezké 👍🏻. Jenom si myslím že je velký do ruky. Ale možná je to jenom pocit.

Absolutely beautiful knife. The sheath was looking perfect until the stamping. I'm guessing there was an error and you had to abandon your planned pattern. Loved the video, thank you!

Excelent brother
Nice work. Tired of seeing some channels using the grinder only. 💪🔥
Nothing wrong with stock removal, but who doesn’t want to play with really hot steel??? 😂🤘🏼
@@LiamJPenn totally agree. But when your whole fabrication is done without a forge, it kinda loses the appeal for me. Great job again.
That’s a fine blade 👍🏻
Good work 👍
Knife hunter brooo👍👍👍

80crv2 best allround steel for everything from a carver to a beater IMHO...
Yeah I like it alot
@@LiamJPenn плохой нож
Just wondering if that's good for beginners!??
Im not going to be forging though.
Basically, buying "steal blanks", cutting steal into shape with an angle grinder, fine sanding with a belt sander, then heat treating in an old grill, then quenching in oil....
Of course, gonna sand some more to get a nice finish.
Any sort of recommendations would be appreciated....thanks...
@@ericwilliams7374 i would start with 1084 if I were you. 80crv2 needs a faster quench medium (parks 50) and with 1084 you can get away with using canola oil instead.
@@ericwilliams7374 80crv2 is a forgiving steel to work with, I think it is a good beginner steel. It forged easily and has vanadium, which helps with grain refinement which is important when you are not heat treating very precisely. That being said you should be able to do a good job heat treating by eye with practice. Learn what the right temperature is. A magnet will stop sticking to the steel at about 1420 degrees f, so you need to be a little hotter than that. I recommend using parks AAA oil, buy parks 50 or even canola can work too.
Super!
Wow,Mega cooles Messer!!!! 🔪👍💪💯%🔥
Отлично 👍👏
Nice knife...
Well done nice job man!
Thank you
