Kirk has never played his solos this way in live. This is great. And this guy has a great feeling also playing the rhythm parts and he uses the guitar pick with his finger at once in rhytmn patern and this sounds very good.

Spider chords
The scale patterns Metallica uses in their solos reminds me so much of classical music.
Seeing that both Cliff, Kirk, and the bands that influenced Metallica are influenced by classical music, I wouldnt be suprised.

***** the riff from 2:00 to 2:15 to is supposed to be played differently, just write "spider chords" in the youtube search bar, it's a technique made popular by dave mustaine.
I can't remember what interview I heard it in but even Dave said that there are I believe he said three different ways he plays Symphony of Destruction just based on the mood he's in and only one is the spider chord that he made famous for using in it.
