How to Make Orange Campfire Brownies | Get the Dish

- We're headed out to the wilderness (or really to the backyard) to learn how to make a drool-worthy dessert with just a campfire! These chocolate orange brownies really are going to change your life.
Campfire Orange Brownies
From Door to Door Organics
1 package brownie mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
8 oranges
Build a campfire, or preheat your grill to 350ºF.
Mix the brownie mix according to the directions on the package.
Slice the top off of each orange and scoop out the inside of each orange. Save the fruit to eat later. Spoon the brownie mixture into each orange and place the top of the orange back on top of the mixture. Wrap tightly with foil and place in the campfire.
Bake until the brownie is cooked through, about 35 minutes.
Use tongs to carefully remove the baked orange from the fire and then carefully unwrap. Serve immediately.

None of these recipes are completely original. I dont know why people are saying popsugar is copying Gemma. Gemma most likely got her ideas from another website or Pinterest. It really makes no sense. Especially because it's summer I'm seeing a lot of people posting similar recipes if not the same recipes over and over again. People need to relax. This recipe is really great and easy. I will def be trying this.

I'm from Venezuela, I follow you both (Gemma and Popsugar) and I think that both of you have your own way to prepare dishes en that's alright! It's great...CZcams HAS A LOT OF CHANNELS AND MOST OF THEM HAVE THE SAME VIDEOS BECAUSE THE CZcamsRS SAW IT IN PINTEREST, TUMBLR, ETC...They are humans, and most of these recepies were made by most of the people when they were kids and in SUMMER...don't be haters, they put a lot of effort to make the video, if they really think that the idea was from specifically from Gemma in this case, they wouldn't bother to do a video (that makes a looooooot of work, believe me).
They do research for every video they make....on Internet, books, or other people...

Thanks for this. This reminds me of an uncle that used to take me camping. It was always a bit weird he would always make us eat in his tent and he would laugh and eat a recipe like this. He would put his hands down my pants which would make me feel really uncomfortable but he's gone away now so I guess it doesn't matter. I love camping!

Rose Marie If you're talking about the dole whip and other videos, it's the same thing. First of all, there were already several recipes online about the dole whip recipe. Plus, Popsugar's were different. Most other recipes are found online or inspired by someone else. If it really WAS copied from Gemma, they would credit her, like they always do when they are inspired by recipes online.

one of my favorite campfire foods is made by cutting fruit up small, and putting it in a waffle ice cream cone, then put mini marshmallows and chocolate in the cone, wrap it in foil and cook it up for around 35 minutes.
I'm sure you could bake brownies in a normal pan in a Dutch oven over a campfire, right?
I do the same things with the oranges but add only chocolate and marshmallows

Actually Brandi's recipe of Dole Whip is COMPLETELY different than Gemma's. If u compare the recipes of those two, u can tell that they're both remarkably different. Also, this recipe is everywhere, even before Gemma made it. Brandi got this recipe from another website, not Gemma.

I don't understand why people are going crazy over in the comments! I went to Gemma's channel and found it entertaining BUT those recipes do not belong to her or anyone. They are not copyrighted. And if they got inspired by Gemma that's fine :) she should be happy that someone else is trying out her recipe and loving it! I honestly find it saddening that people are mad at Popsugar because they are a big company (ish not quite sure what to call them! XD group?). And Popsugar said that they got it from Door to Door Organics... maybe Gemma got it from there too. :)

What's the point of using an orange if your not having any orange flesh in the orange and you take it all out!? If you leave a bit in then it will taste better
try dropping the water from the recipe and using the removed orange instead.

Now initially I didn't want to blame PopSugar because it is easy to repeat recipes that fellow CZcamsrs have done. Occasionally it can happen but this feels like a blatant copy of another CZcamsrs video. I'm concerned that the PopSugar staff has become incapable of creating their own content and that's a shame! If your going to repeat recipes then invite her on the show and collaborate but copying with little to no change in recipe and throwing a story about camping on it that more than likely isn't even authentic is just terrible.

How is this copying? I had a youth camp out last year and me and my friends did this..This isn't something new.. Not just last year but 5-7 years ago, my sister made me one of these too when we went beach camping.

She made a comment about where she got it from, and this isn't Gemma's original recipe. None of the recipes that Popsugar made that people THINK was copied from Gemma, is a very well known recipe.
