Stephen Wake Guitar g
Hello Stephen I very much like your style of playing, is there a special training to learn how to play like that ? Did you start playing classical guitar , by the way is this a classical guitar or a folk one ?
Thank you so much for this song, Stephen! My wife let me pick the song for her to walk down the aisle to, and this was it. I will forever think of this song with the best day of my life.
You know your music is amazing when the wild life enjoys it.
One of my favs !
The wildlife invented it, yours sincerely Scotland.
lol 👍👍👍 noice
Damn I want to live somewhere that looks as tranquil as this song sounds. Quiet mountains, forest, valleys, etc. Beautiful piece bro.
The higher octave part of this piece with the harmonics makes me cry. It's one of the most beautiful things ever. Thanks so much for sharing your gift
Exactly same part made me cry as well. Every single time. And I still want to come back and listen it again and again 🥹🥹🥹. The most soul-touching classical guitar I've ever heard. 🙌💙🤍
Exquisite. Musicianship of the highest order.
I was lucky enough to go to Loch Lomond last year it is a beautiful place Scotland is a wonderful country This is great guitar piece, beautifully played. Thank you Sir.
If u ever visit again you should visit Drum Chapel ..it's a very beautiful village by the river Clyde nestled in the glens .Very enchanting .
There is also a hill where the mother of jesus is said to have shown her face ,of course he place is named after this miracle ,Maryhill..stunning place ,a real must if visiting Scotland .
1:40 love the harmonics!
How can you play harmonics so perfectly? Just, wow!
That one really got to my heart!
This reminds me of so much, almost a whole lifetime. I couldnt even begin to describe. It captures everything perfectly ❤

Amazing what you did at 1:39, spot-on subtlety
Thanks! The harmonics fit in nicely to the melody.
I wake up with them, stuck in my ears for weeks now.
this one reminds me of miss admiral gordon's strathspey. would love to see you arrange that, if I dont get good enough to arrange it myself first :P
Wow...we must to share myths and folk music like this...
Absolutely beautiful. Shared on my facebook hope you dont mind.
Thanks Stuart Not at all!

I "upgrade" my comment of two years ago. This is ravishing.
Hey thank you, El! Always love it when you listen and comment!
@@StephenWakeGuitar You aren't hard to listen to. :)
Which open tuning do you use Stephen? it's very pure and your technique is perfect. The music flows like water. thank you for this beautiful moment of music.
Phil
Philippe Barrilliez Thanks Phil! Most of my music is in CGDGCD and DADGAD. This one is in CGDGCD, also know as Orkney tuning.
Auf diesen lied werde ich beerdigt... Für immer Fussball Club Colonia... Köln & Schottland my Love
Bought your Scottish Lochs Album with tabs from Bandcamp... but i need to know which strings you're using xD
On the bonnie lochs of the lomond
Would you mind telling me what microphone you use? I could use a good quality mic and all of your music sounds astounding (both on audio quality and the fact that you're a god at playing the guitar).
Thanks! I use a Shure ksm 44 for most recordings and two At4050s. These are budget mics but sout great on guitar.
Stephen, everything you do with a guitar is brilliant. I'm a big fan of your fingerstyle work. This is another beautiful piece. Thank you for posting. Jesus is Saviour, Lord, and King.
Hey! Love this song. I bought the album and the tab pdf. However, when I scroll down to this song in the pdf link the first page of it is suuuper small and I can’t read it. Help? I really want to know how to play this one.
that happened to me also on my laptop. so i just loaded onto my phone so i could zoom in on it. It was a pain playing from a teeny phone screen but the first page is pretty easy to play and memorize so i got through it. or maybe try printing it. I havent tried that yet.
Is there really in existence: the Lock Ness Monster?
tuning please...and sublime as always
Mark Patterson thanks Mark, the tuning is CGDGCD.
Can not imagine if the song about Loch Ness (",).
Can anyone possibly recommend a good nylon string guitar for under $400? I want to play beautiful music like this but I’ve never owned a nylon string so I have no clue what to look for. Thanks and thank you for the wonderfully beautiful music
I recommend a Yamaha C40, they are cheap and sound very nice czcams.com/video/KrUak31dVqc/video.html
If I buy the album though iTunes, how do I get the tabs?
Thanks. The tabs are only available through bandcamp right now. iTunes doesn't let you include extras at the moment. Thanks!
What tuning do you use here, cgcfce our dadgad but tuning in C ?
Thanks! I use CGDGCD
Very nicely played.
But why is there so much fingerstyle instead of some good flatpicking tunes?
I am looking desperately for an album of a duo of giotár players, 1 flatpicking + 1 backing with a plectrum, not fingers, and mostly guitar but would be OK with cittern or bouzouki.
Cheers
Sláinte from Belgium
@Stephen Wake Guitar
I dont have room for all the details here but all I can say is I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for that loch.
what guitar do you have?
In this one I use a Casimiro Lozano 1A
@@StephenWakeGuitar the $4500 one? Jeez 😬 no wonder it sounds so good! Thanks for the reply

RascalAW Thanks! I'm using the super carbon Goldin strings made by Hannabach.
Thank you! I fell in love with Scotland when i first visited it last year. I also hiked up Ben Lomond. Your music is a true inspiration for me! Just bought a Furch OM33SR and i am looking forward to play your arrangement of Loch Lomond at Loch Lomond one day :)
