The first tune was composed by Ronan Hardiman, from the musical "Lord of the Dance". The second and third were composed by Anthony Davis, which I learned from his album "The Feis Vol 1" and "The Feis Vol 2", and the last one was composed by Michael Rooney.

I don't know if it's because I have Irish heritage or if the music has the same effect on anyone, but Celtic guitar always fills me with a mixture of longing for a home I haven't found yet, and at the same time feeling like I finally got there. Your music does it to me every time.
I don't have Celtic heritage. Yet I feel the same. Celtic culture is world-class
I think it does that to everyone.
Same I always wanna put on armor and grab a sword when I hear Celtic music
Well said.
Heritage will do it, but not necessary to be moved. Celtic music, ie Scots, Irish, Welsh Breton and Galician, is white mans soul music.
I've been a student of the guitar nearly 60 years. I've never heard Celtic acoustic played better.
Never heard anyone else playing Celtic music with a guitar like this guy does. It’s so good 😊
you have become one of the best celtic guitarist anywhere, ive listened to many and you sir are world class👍
i definitely agree with you!
Your tastes in tunes, arrangements, and geez - the sheer beauty of your playing - all together its beyond words. Hats off.
That guitar is on the brink of brilliance
A master of his craft!!
You got to wonder about a person that could hit a thumbs down button on this. BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for sharing a piece of your soul. Xoxo

Nice sounds brother, say ,is that a thalia capo you're useing?
I just discovered your channel and am loving all the Celtic songs you're doing! What whistle did you use here? I liked the open sound quality it had!
Thanks. It's from "Best Service Engine 2" from the Forrest Kingdom pack... I think it's name is "Piccolo Flute"
Wow! May i ask how many years of practice does it take to become a pro like you?
When will you be making this song available on iTunes?
❤️
Very nice! Does it feel weird having long nails on your right hand but short on your left?
Thanks! You just get used to it after a while, but it always a nuance doing gardening!
Where can I get the tab for this song?
What key is that in
What is turn?
Stepehn---I'm confused. I checked every link in your above post, went thru names of each song set on each album and couldn't find the Cry of Celtics, etc. on any of them. Is it called something else on any of these albums? which album? Really do love it!
Hi Linda! Thanks, it's on my album Journey's End, under the name "The Slip Jig Set" this is becuase the set includes four slip jigs and I didn't want to just include the name of one. ;)
@@StephenWakeGuitar Thanks Stephen! :)
Mostly 110 bpm, mid section 108 bpm
Le gars, il maîtrise…
Stephen, I love your playing and melodic senses, you are a master. I have listened to almost all of your songs and they cover a wide breadth. I have one comment, and please do not be offended. You use a kind of triplet, quick series of notes, such as at the 0:11 sec mark, throughout your songs. Sometimes, when played aggressively, it sounds almost as if the guitar is "spitting out" this set of notes. I've listened to so much of your work, that I can have the browser minimized and when one of your songs comes up, I recognize it as Stephen Wake playing; it's sort of become a signature of your style. Now, I am a rank amatuer player who has played over 50 years, and I can tell the artist even when I don't know the song, especially in blues music. Is there another device such as a series of quick hammer on/pull offs that could be used to change it up just a bit?
I know I am criticizing you on the .005% of what you do, and I believe you are like Stephen from Braveheart "It's Your Island!", so that's JMTCW! Beannaithe!
Fan of Anton & Sully by any chance?!
Yes! I've been a fan of you guys for years. Have all of your albums!

Almost heaven. I am not a Christian or anything like one.
My mom lied and said we were Scottish for 50 years DNA says IRISHMAN !!
Bollocks
At 2:40, your leg is in a funny angle... Don't you feel uncomfortable??
Your legs are as wild as the Celtic music you play!
I have long legs, but that's the most comfortable position for me to play in when resting against a tree!
