So much complaining. It's sounds like a V6 because it is, you want a V8 go buy one but lame excuses about it's a V6 get over it. It's HP and Ford did a good job on the Ecoboost motors. Its stock mostly, bolt ons are a pretty minor change. I'm not a fanboy but after I drove an Ecoboost I was sold. This shows the potential of the motor if the owner wants to drive it that way it's his money. Driving it around with a milder 500hp it will still smoke GM and RAM V8's

Hardly call that overpriced seeing that I can sell it today for 30k. The stock turbos are cheap to replace on these trucks so that's not a big deal even if it happens. Recently I dropped a 3.5 Raptor Crate engine into my 1966 F100 & a week ago had it on the dyno. On initial tune E51 vs E85 I saw very close numbers. 602.93 HP @ 5700 and 657.64 TQ @ 3500. This is in a truck that only weighs 3980 lbs. Found this video now realizing it was the 3.5. Unreal the amount of power they will make. My numbers were lower than actual because the PCM tq management closed throttle 4 times during a 13 second dyno run. Out this morning trying to get a datalog and it was nothing but tire spin attempting a 2000-6000 rpm run in 3rd gear. I do have the larger Garrett intercooler but stock other than that plus tune. Still running the stock airbox and OEM air filter. Had the PCM not closed throttle I think 700 TQ was possible. My truck is getting 25 mpg on 91 & 20 mpg on E51. This is after 3500 miles of testing.

I got vids of my mustang on my channel and that little 2.3 makes more hp than my mom's coyote with some bolt ons and a tune. I maxed out at 460 ft pds tq but that's because with the 2.3 you need to swap the block or reinforce it. It has all forged internals unlike some of the other engines but that aluminum open deck block can only take about 500 hp. Truck guys are lucky they get those iron blocks.

I have had both. 2016 3.5 ecoboost single turbo with tune dyno at 493hp at rear wheels (91 octane)- Lighter, felt easy to manuver and stop. Intense power band had a lot of fun in that truck! now have a 2018 5.0 with Roush phase 2 supercharger right at 620hp at rear wheels (91 octane)- weight difference is very noticeable (both trucks super crew 5.5 box) much harder to stop, sport mode and tow/haul play a much bigger role in stoping and manuvering but the supercharger power is so much more consistent it will pin you to the seat well into 7th. 3.5 when playing you have to really drive it, keeping rpm up, manual shit was prefered. 5.0 sport mode all day. ecoboost is fun as hell, 5.0 is all business. 5.0 gets the eco out of the dig all day. If i had to pick its very close but i would say i like the 5.0 better. The eco is almost more of a toy. the sound of the 5.0 is the other seller. i run MAGNA Flow CAT back, it just sounds nasty! if i buy another eco it will be 2 door and i'm gonna drop it and do coil overs so i can huck it through turns, utilizing the toy aspect of it. i could get the eco to bark the tires at 45mph but the 5.0 will bark the tires at 65-70
simplest way i can say it 3.5= bad boy, 5.0= bad man both trucks are well worth the $$ about $3000 difference in build price. Hope this is helpful to someone.

Put it in 4 high hopefully you have locking diff’s and get some slightly taller and wider tires to get ride of the slip also it would be ideal to have a 2 door with short bed but awesome truck

Doesn't look fast and sure doesn't sound fast. its sounds like an accord! sure wont attract much attention other than the fact it basically disappears like a genie with the sound of a fart

Some people would rather have the actual steak and don't give a shit about the sizzle.

2big 2fail Based on this comment. I can definitely tell this person has a tiny penis. Someone this petty and this obsessed with v8s gotta suffer tiny penis syndrome. Cannot admit when a v6 turbo is lighting the competing v8’s asses on fire. Real car guys love engines for its brilliant design and ingenuity. Dumb asses count how many cylinders it has and even if its a slow pile of shit, as long as its v8 will put a smile on their face. Sad life

Like not even 45 mins ago I tuned my 3.5L ecoboost with the 93 perf-tow, but i also got the 93 performance tune from yall as well just havent tried it out, is there a big difference? Couldnt get to the track so maybe i was scared of fully testing it on the street that i didn't expose its full potential
