    The CTWC Qualifiers started in 2015 when Christian Deitering asked Vince Clemente to host a Southern Qualifier in Texas, sending the winner to CTWC to compete in the World Championship. This was the first of many CTWC qualifying events around the world, which continues to expand and sponsor new players every year. As far as I'm concerned, You're already there, my dude. I'm legit surprised they didn't tap you for 2022.
      Your timely-varied enthusiasm, brilliant callouts, probably the best score checks in the game right now, and especially your start-of-match recaps .... you're pretty goated.

      You are by far my favorite commentator. You being a high level player yourself allows you to give insightful and more technical commentary. I personally enjoy when you say what possible pieces a player is looking for to solve their board. Overall, you also balance your commentary and give both players equal attention. You bring great energy and hype to specific situations, while still remembering to remind the audience of general things like point-lead, pace, and upcoming transitions. Well done!

    Quick Disclaimer: Due to tech issues happening right before the finals we had to change set-up which messed with the audio quality of the video. Sorry we couldn't fix while at the event or in post. so any audio issues are a result of this. Thanks for understanding

    • @Jack_80
      @Jack_80 Před rokem

      crazy part is i think he could be even better if he wasn't quite so indecisive in the early stages. he makes constant last second adjustments that lead to misdrops. or he'll think too long about what to do with a piece and won't move it until it's nearly touching, which also leads to some misdrops.
      he's may be the best when it comes to digging out of trouble up really high. there have been a couple times in his last 2 or 3 matches when he survived some impossible digs on level 19 wsy up high.

    • @juyifan7933
      @juyifan7933 Před rokem

      @@Jack_80 Andy's last second ajustments are the main differential in his game. Andy is the best in the world when it comes to using the next box.

    • @Jack_80
      @Jack_80 Před rokem

      @@juyifan7933 can't really say he's the best at using the next box because he makes last second adjustments. if he were the best in the world at using the next box he'd have his next move planned out and wouldn't need constant last second adjustments.
      andy may very well be the best player in the world right now period, so i'm not putting him down. just pointing out that i think he could improve even further and really separate himself from the pack.

    • @ITZsharky1
      @ITZsharky1 Před rokem

      @@Jack_80 That is incorrect. Adjustments. It just not possible to maintain 100% accuracy with how dynamic tetris is. Adjustments are what allow for people to increase efficiency outside of strong fundamental stacking. Thats a huge reason why efficiency before 29 increased at such a dramatic level back in 2020 and 2021, Because last second adjustment were being spammed by players.
      But Also I wouldn't say that Andy is the best. There is a lot of players with andy's skill set and skill range

      @@Jack_80 @juyifan7933 @ITZsharky1 - you're actually all correct, it's amazing to see both how far the game has come and that there still seems to be room for improvement. It's exhilarating, and everyone involved (players, commentators, community) is rad. What an honor.

    For most of these videos, you can tell who will win by seeing how much time is left in the video. It would be nice if filler material or even a black screen of nothing at the end was added to make each video a certain amount of minimum time.

      Top players' levels are actually pretty close right now. Anyone of them can eliminate other players on their good days. Also, in-person playing field might have an effect on players who are used to playing online. It's just really hard to predict who's gonna got a win over who nowadays.
