Everytime I listen to The Barcelona album I get goosebumps! There a part where Monserrat expressed her feelings of inadequacy. She tells it that she said to him I am not sure I can do this I am weak and I am old and Freddie told her “listen music has no age” what an amazing man he was. Gone almost 30 years and he is still worshipped! Miss you and your artistry Freddie!
as much as this is an amazing insight into what garden lodge looks like,(and im sure we have all wanted to know) I cant help but feel Freddie would be horrified at the thought of people filming Mary's home in this way. Freddie loved his privacy and im sure he would want the same for his best friend. I know no harm was intended by this video, but I honestly don't think this is what Freddie would want.
It's totally illegal, to do that and who ever filmed it can be done for, Invasion Of Privacy, and any smart people out there say he can't, the camera film's straights at the window.

I was just reading Jim's book about how Freddie asked him to build a koi pond at Garden Lodge, after falling in love with them in Japan. There are Koi still, that makes my heart happy ♥

Freddie was really smart !!! He didn't want his ashes or where his ashes were buried to be a shrine and being dug or invaded. Mary was a true friend and I'm sure she loved Freddie till death.
Along with so many secrets that people who called him a close friend told and sold. Yes it's fine to share his talent or a video that was public anyway but some of his private moments make me angry. He was right he could only trust Mary.

I, too, clicked here expecting to see a little clip of the house, possibly even filmed with Mary's authorization...but this is an inexcusable invasion of her privacy. That she hasn't posted 24-hour security is testament to her patience and forbearance...but i suppose, after 21 years with Freddie, she must have learned a thing or two about the fanaticism of his fans. I didn't watch any of the video. It came up in suggestions and I only clicked on it to write my comment. It's just horrible. Poor Mary must be demented with these morons.
I understand that Mary Austen should have her privacy, but folks are curious about this lovely home. Perhaps if Mary had a brief video tour of the home that it would avoid folks sneaking around to see the home. She has done videos from the living room of the home in order to raise funds for the Mercury Phoenix Fund so it should not bother her to let people see a few of the rooms on a video and the garden of Garden Lodge. She should keep the bedrooms and other areas with his collections private as she wishes. This might prevent folks from sneaking around with video cameras. I don't think Freddie would mind as he had many friends in some of the downstairs rooms and I believe he did one or two interviews there.
Not really since its london. This is a castle compared to any other houses. Plus he has got a huge garden. The price must have been more than 10 million as its in kensington
I’ve always gathered, from hints and things I’ve read, that Freddie’s ashes are spread or buried beneath one of the trees in his garden. The cherry tree, I think. He had a particular favourite tree, I believe. In fact. I think Jim Hutton mentioned it in his book, saying that Freddie asked for his remains to buried there so that ‘I can keep an eye on all of you!”. This tree was also visible from their bedroom window, I believe. It would make sense, as he loved his home.
I imagine Freddie as a smiling angel, walking through his lovely garden, happy and peaceful. God bless you, Freddie Mercury!

I understand that Mary Austen should have her privacy, but folks are curious about this lovely home. Perhaps if Mary had a brief video tour of the home that it would avoid folks sneaking around to see the home. She has done videos from the living room of the home in order to raise funds for the Mercury Phoenix Fund so it should not bother her to let people see a few of the rooms on a video and the garden of Garden Lodge. She should keep the bedrooms and other areas with his collections private as she wishes. This might prevent folks from sneaking around with video cameras. I don't think Freddie would mind as he had many friends in some of the downstairs rooms and I believe he did one or two interviews there.

I’ve always gathered, from hints and things I’ve read, that Freddie’s ashes are spread or buried beneath one of the trees in his garden. The cherry tree, I think. He had a particular favourite tree, I believe. In fact. I think Jim Hutton mentioned it in his book, saying that Freddie asked for his remains to buried there so that ‘I can keep an eye on all of you!”. This tree was also visible from their bedroom window, I believe. It would make sense, as he loved his home.
