- The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are among the most important of the great Bible symbols because they give the key to the nature of man as we know him. When you understand these symbols thoroughly you will understand your own makeup, and you will be able to begin the work of getting dominion over yourself and over your surroundings.
There is another reason why it is important to understand the Four Horsemen. They form a typical example of the way in which the Bible makes use of the general principle of symbolism. When you have grasped their full significance, by realizing how the Bible talks about horses, for instance, in order to teach psychological and spiritual truth, you will have mastered the general scheme of Bible allegory. The Bible is not written in the style of a modern book. It has a method all its own of conveying knowledge through picturesque symbols, the reason being that this is the only possible way in which knowledge could be given to people in all ages in different parts of the world and of different degrees of spiritual development. A direct statement in the modern manner would appeal to a particular kind of audience, but a symbol appeals to any audience, each individual getting just what he is ready for.
The Bible is not full of predictions. The Bibles does not undertake to say just what is going to happen in the future, because if this could be done it could only mean that we have no free will. If the future is all arranged now-like a movie film packed in its box-what would be the use of praying or studying metaphysics? Why did Jesus pray for so many hours, even all night long, if he could not change anything? You can change the future and the present by prayer, and it is your attitude toward prayer that makes or mars you-makes you sick or well, happy or sad, stupid or wise.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse stand for the four parts or elements of our human nature as we find it today. As we know ourselves in our present embodiment we seem to be made up of four parts. There is, first of all, the physical body-the thing that you see when you look into the glass. Then there is your feeling nature or emotions. This is an extremely important part of you, and although you cannot “see” your feelings, you are tremendously conscious of them. Third, there is your intellect. You cannot see this either, but you are quite aware of its existence, because it contains every bit of knowledge, important or unimportant, that you possess.
Finally, there is your spiritual nature, or your real eternal self; the true you, the I AM, the Indwelling Christ, the Divine Spark, or what you please to call it. This is your real identity, which is eternal. Almost everyone believes in its existence, but for the most part people are very little conscious of it as an actuality. Students of metaphysics are aware that ultimately the time will come when the first three will be merged in the fourth, and then we shall all know instead of only believing that the spiritual nature is all. Meanwhile, however, this is not the case, so we find ourselves living with these four elements of our nature-and the Bible calls them the Four Horses.

Thank you for everything you do, Brian. This is a beautiful video and falls in alignment for me. Growing up, I was not forced to go to church and can only remember going a couple of Easter's with my parents and grandparents. Both my parents believed in God, but we were not raised up to believe in any one religion. "Love thy neighbor" was what my parents instilled as a child.
Right after my 24th birthday, I checked myself into a hospital of my own free will for alcohol. I was engaged, had a good job, and a new home but couldn't stand to keep living the way I was "internally." After out of the hospital, I joined AA and got a sponsor that walked me through the 12 steps. This was a profound change for me, and I followed up with sponsoring many others.
I am not currently still doing this today even though I am not drinking but I have always said that the best high I ever received was being able to help others and still believe it to be my purpose in whatever area I am to do so.

Interesting. I'll have to listen to this again. In the early '90's I was at PowPow in Cherokee,nc I was given a vision; There was a cliff above me in the vision. and on the cliff where the 4 horses. Not knowing what it meant, I mentioned it to others. No one would say anything but kept bringing ones to me to tell me what I saw. Maybe they thought it was the apocalypse. Many Blessings
Yes, I get all that. As an Empath and Animal lover, I do not expect I can control my EMOTIONS about horses being used, controlled and imprisoned. It's stressful and makes me angry knowing of horse racing and rodeos and riding horses, and making them pull carriages, and metal rods in their mouths and straps, and nails in their hoofs. I feel very emotionally joyful when I see the horses wild and free with their families. Thank you for the talk...

Catherine Kitty Kat - I had an experience with a horse that opened my eyes to their hardship as well. I was on vacation in Savannah, Georgia (in the USA) and it was July and very very hot; it felt like over 95 degrees. We were going to brunch and instead of walking and arriving sweating we decided to take a horse drawn carriage. When I went up to the horse to pet it and say hello he looked me straight in the eyes and communicated to me, “I am so, so tired of pulling this heavy carriage in the heat. I can’t take this much longer”. I truly felt this communication and received it. I told my parents let’s just walk instead and take our time. I could not bring myself to bring him anymore burden. Fast forward to that evening in the hotel and we turned on the local news to see what their news was like in this historic city and, li and behold, there was a news story that that day they had implemented the city ordinance: Horse-drawn carriages shall not be allowed to tour on city streets when there is a Heat Index of 110 degrees or higher or temperature exceeding 95 degrees Fahrenheit. I was soooo happy to hear this and to know the horse did not pull carriages on that day or any other hot day.
In my New Earth, animals will not be used as “beasts of burden” or food for humans, but instead will be loved and appreciated for their uniqueness and personality. Love and Light ❤️

I really liked this one. It was easy to understand and to relate too.
This Interpretation should be examined very carefully. The book of Apocalypse is preparing us for the second coming of Jesus Christ . There is in various parts a time period mentioned, 42 months or 3.5 times which always represents the same time period. 3.5 times can be translated 3.5 years as well. 3.5 years are 1260 days (the Hebrew year only has 360 days). The Bible tells that prophetic time is made as follows 1 day = 1 year. So 42 months / 1260 days really mean 1260 years.
The Roman Catholic Church used the state to rule over the world from 538 ac - 1798 (emprisonnent of the pope) ac. 1260 years.
After that, the french revolution set aside the Bible and got rid of religion, atheism was born. Apocalypse 13 shows that the papacy got a deadly wound (1798) but it eventually healed.
The Bible knows the future but there is indeed liberty of choice. We must choose between Lucifer and Jesus Christ who died for our sin.
When he returns, sin will be gone.

What really happened. We could hear a horse come through camp every night for several weeks. One night before we were to leave, we sat around the camp fire and just relaxed and conversed about any and all things. A photo was taken and then sent home via a phone. Soon after a reply came back with a question: Does this place have anything to do with a white horse and a rider? Then the picture was sent back for us to see. The rider on the horse we all had seen. That rider was carved into stone in the cliffs nearby. The only horse we knew of, was the one carved into stone in a place not far away. That place we know as- The Hand of GOD. There was nothing for the world to see. The only ones whom could see? Would be the one whom forseen and wrote about it and the ones whom were in the present when it happened. That is how things work. Not all the bullshit everyone thinks! The Rider slowly rode through camp for several weeks. The ground had no vipers snapping at the heels. In fact! The ground is covered with snakes. Snakes are all over the ground there! But they are part of the site. We walk on them all the time. I have never seen a living snake anywhere there! An yet these snakes cover the entire area. ( We did not even have a clue to what just happened.) Those things always are the known after it happens. Not ever the known before nor the intentions of such stuff are part of anyone in thought or direction. There are words which are ( Den, Der, Dan, Avardy ) also found carved into stone. ( Why does everyone always seem to think they know the language of GOD, when the language of mankind is clearly known- man can not even solve the language barrier it has. ) I am going to tell you, because I have compassion for what all will be going through. That part is why I have compassion for you. ( All you know and think you know? Is NOTHING. ) There is a language barrier. What is coming already knows the language of mankind. Man does not know the language of what is coming. ( Look around- see with your own eyes. ) Everyone will lose all their foundations. This great battle all think they know will happen? Mankind will lose that battle! No one will be able to hide from what is coming. ( definition to " Language barrier" ) What happens when two or more meet for the first time? When there is a language barrier? Your history repeats itself. What coming knows your language and you have already lost. You all need to start thinking about what you don't know instead of what you think you know! Right now? Total defeat! Language is important! ( Have a great day! )
The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalyse were the 4 seasonal priests. They taught in the Vestry House in Qumran. Each priest carried a colored banner signifying which season he taught in. The banner would be placed on the chair (horse) he taught from in the Vestry House. The priest for Summer carried a white banner (associated with noon and south). He taught June, July and August. This was Theophilus Annas 'LION' He taught Mark's Gospel. The priest for Autumn carried a red banner (associated with sunset and west). He taught September, October and November. This was Ananus the Younger, the Samaritan, the Sariel. 'CALF' He taught Luke's Gospel. The priest for Winter carried a black banner (associated with midnight and north). He taught December, January and February. This was Ananias the Samaritan, the Raphael. 'MAN' He taught Matthew's Gospel. The priest for Spring carried a green banner (associated with sunrise and east). He taught March, April and May. This was Atomus the Cypriot the 'Gabriel' (Death) 'FLYING EAGLE' 'Hades' was Herod Antipas. Atomus taught John's Gospel. The time period for the seals was from June 49AD to December 50AD and January 51AD, the start of the Julian New Year.

I like that he linked astrology into this, which I have studied in depth. It’s apparent he had as well as his interpretations of the astrological signs, elements, and their meanings were all quite accurate. Astrology is an extremely fascinating subject and plays into spirituality in Unfathomably complex ways. It’s also very real, as ancient civilizations well knew. Perhaps a subject for another video.

Here’s my take on the four horses:
Pale Horse: Is the End of Death. ☠️
White Horse: The true church riding out with a bow and arrow (this is the church within us that has been there all along, and not the false church doctrine taught by many churches.) 🏹
Black Horse: The Cabal that controls all trade.
Red Horse: War between Good vs. Evil.
Many church members are not going to make the rapture and they are going to wonder why and be in complete shock because they thought they were "saved". They never knew God, and were contributors of negativity and suffering. They are going to have a second chance in the tribulation. But most churches are the Anti-Christ in my opinion. The "normies" and "educated" and followers of the matrix are going to have a difficult time in the tribulation as well, as their paradigm crashes. Any church member that casts judgement on others or regurgitates information without inward knowledge and radiates negativity, is going to miss the rapture. 👆

Fascinating reading and I do like the bringing together of astrology and more that does not conflict with, rather it confirms the Scriptures. There is only one aspect to this that I disagree with and it is certainly not what Emmett Fox writes. Rather, I would question you, Brian. I do not feel you are riding a black horse but a white horse. Perhaps you are now in the role of John the Baptist, perhaps you could be seen also as Christ. The evolution of Man is shown in that rather than share the message from the side of a hill, the crowd gathered to hear is via the internet. Thank you Brian, love and respect to you.

Some (speculative) ideas that came to me about the white horse: Crown = corona = .... COVID-19! Crown = halo = whole = holy = full spectrum = white. Bow = rainbow = white light split into a spectrum + conquer = full spectrum dominance.
Brian, I think that it is both metaphorical and metaphysical for one must learn to ride and master the 3 physical horses (pale black red and any and every combo of those 3 under the sun) before he can be given the keys to drive the 4th, the white one, that is his spaceship or merkaba or white energy ball of lightening to transurf with purpose and intention in, for we are all transurfing thru the parallel universes all the time unknowingly, and once we Wake Up we are able to start to do it intentionally and with purpose and grace. Once enough folks have woken up and are flying their merkabas right, they will be aligning their own free will with God's will (the path that will bring the bearer great joy but harm no other for God resides in all things. The free will if man is what holds the laws if this 3rd density earth, and when that aligns with God's will, this density will blink out of existence. However, this density is also ruled by the "will" or desire or various entities to experience certain emotions and the only way they can do this is by puppeting humans who are not yet awake, when they become aware of the forth coming battle as more and more folks attain Christ-conciousness and start getting together to imagine ways to solve the world's ills...I do believe they will put up quite an ugly fight. I reckon this IS going to eventually lead to crazy physical war on this plane, as the fighting gets more intense in the closer than most realize metaphysical realm just outside our field of vision. And that is my reasoning I hope it came across making sense. I love talking about this stuff if anyone is up for discussion at any point. I've basically come to the same conclusions on my own, the one thing I'm still wondering about is why the 4 elements/riders are represented specifically by the fixed/sustaining zodiacs, why not the cardinal/creator signs? What are the symbolic roles of the cardinal and mutable signs, why are these not included in the same vein?
Also, I really like the Sri Yantra, here the 4 directions/elements represent the material world, then the lotus petals will represent the different parts of the body/senses and how we can use them. The innermost triangles are the divine union of the masculine and feminine principles that create the universe. So this is a map of creation and it very much implies that we should use our body to link the material and divine together, not to deny these things, but to redeem them as part of the spiritual play.
Hi Klaus, funny that the signs he mentioned happened to be the fixed signs. I personally do not think it was significant to the reading whether or not the signs were cardinal, fixed, or mutable, as it seemed the significance lied in the symbolism of the sign itself. However, it could be argued that the fixed nature of a given element best represents its most solid and enduring aspects.
The Scorpio reference was perfect to represent mastery of the emotions with the longstanding traditional symbolism of the eagle representing the enlightenment of the Scorpion. There is no such clear cut narrative to be had with cancer or Pisces.

O boy Fox is on to something. However some of his elemental definitions are off. North is Earth. East is Intellect. South is Fire. West is Emotion. Center is Balance / God The Sphinx didn't orginally have a human face, it was most likely a Lion looking at Leo on the horizan. Sekhmet, Goddess of protection and warfare. And there were originally 13 Zodiac signs the 13th being Osichus a twisted serpent. The definitions of the 4 horses is fascinating. I like it better than today's ridged Christian definition.

Why is white right, relating to the colour of the horse? Ranking persons rightness in relation to a the colour of the horse they maybe riding, plus their designation, and associated opportunity is the position of man only. I would figure if this were an example coming from above, the colour would be immaterial and not represented in Emmett's Fox interpretation. With that said: I would have to say all his views are skewed if the ranking of perfection or right is based on colour.

Minute 20:59 did my hearing playing up,I heard you saying the last horse was the white horse? I thought the last horse was A Pale horse. I thought the Black horse was the third horse and swiftly ride the fourth the Pale horse..correct me if I'm wrong I'm still learning. From my experience with Yahushua, the first White horse begins at the temple market where He upturn the tables and speaks loudly with the priest? with the fancy outfit, it build up and continue till the Roman time the twist and changes and personally ( by them at the time) which to include and not include in the Bible. Many who did not agreed was burn at the stake and killed. The manipulations and the greed of power and control 'to become ruler' has had the taste of sweet talked and followed the new 'game' those who refused was put to death. anybody know of any good material on controlling emotions? I have not minded running away from the world during this Covid thing as I do not suffer fools gladly with their selfish ways and I am particularly prone to being impatient and noise sensitive (traffic and tooting car horns when trying to meditate). Bless you all on your journey. I do about 2 hours per day listening to Brian and others - Goddard, Dr Murphy etc. working hard on myself and still feeling guilty for wanting a little more - have worked serving others all of my adult life for not a great wage but still carry the doctrine of the church - its wrong to want more. Getting there slowly
