Had fun with this one. Agree that it felt a bit overstuffed and went on a little too long. But the energy and joy behind it kept me engaged. I loved all the little nods to classic stuntwork. The fact that the movie within the movie was called "Metalstorm" and they even used the quote from the 1983 poster art as a line in the movie cracked me up.
I think I may be suffering from Ryan Gosling fatique. It’s funny that you mentioned Ryan Reynolds because I was just thinking he’s morphing into a Ryan Reynolds type.
You know, I rather enjoy dumb popcorn movies full of action, so this one might be one for me to check out. Something that's just plain fun sounds good right now. (And stuntpeople really DO deserve all the respect -- they do a lot of dangerous stuff for our favorite films!)
