Why do you think less people are going to the movies?
Fire Stick, streaming in general…you can watch most new releases in about 2 weeks after their premiere on prime if you choose to pay for them , in about a month -2 months if you choose to wait until it goes on one of the streaming channels you already pay for …for me personally it’s health , I just am not comfortable bringing my portable oxygen tank into a movie theater unfortunately…Staying Nerdy 🖖🏾
Just got out of seeing The Fall Guy. People moan about superhero fatigue or what they do/don't want from films and then something that delivers a fun, throwback comedy action film somehow doesn't please the box office. What's interesting is a generational gap (this is broad, sociological statements so won't apply to all). My niece prefers watching films at home with the comfort of pausing a film. I'm the opposite- I like that the cinema is free of distraction (for the most part!) and I like the share experience with other people. I think a big thing is cost and a feeling of uniqueness. Barbenheimer and Gentlemen Minions show it is possible to get folks in the cinema but thus far I don't think it's something that studios can generate themselves.
Fun fact Jamie Lee Curtis says she talked James Cameron into letting her do the helicopter stunt scene in “ True Lies” & it was filmed on her birthday Nov. 22 1993 🖖🏾
Saw it this morning and found it incredibly charming. Gosling is so likable, and I agree that there was great chemistry with Emily Blunt. As an action comedy they probably could’ve shave 10 to 15 minutes off, but I was never not fully invested. Excellent use of dog as well!
Honestly kind of bummed this is flopping in theaters, really enjoyed the plot as far as the whole crime drama aspect. I also like how this film gave film goers insight into what exactly stunt men have to go through in their profession and the lack of respect or notoriety they get. And I agree how well the camera work and action scenes flow
Let me put on my DCAU Question blank face mask …Backlash from men who don’t want to support Gosling in a action movie after he played in that “WOKE “ chick flick Barbie…Lol just kidding, I don’t know why , but like I said in my comment for your out of theater reaction, this was not on my radar, because the 80’s tv series was just meh…so thanks for the review & putting it on my radar …Staying Nerdy 🖖🏾
We've seen that helicopter scene before in Mission Impossible with the master of action scenes, Tom Cruise. Still, always fun to watch
😊😊 hi Amanda hope everything is well. I haven’t seen fall guy yet but from everything I’m hearing from the people I trust like you and several other channels. It sounds like fall guy is definitely a movie that should work in the theater just to have a good time watching a movie. now with that being said, I’m about to drop another comment separate from this to tell you what my opinion is on movie goers. Thank you for everything.
😊😊 my personal feeling is society has changed dramatically since the pandemic. They may say that it’s great that people can go out to the movies again and everything but now I think they are very more selective on spending money in the theaters than before. I think people expect blockbusters every single time for the money. It’s not like before where you go to the movies to enjoy going to the movies. Going back to my previous statement that the guy should have worked. Ryan Gosling can pull off any movie well and I have a feeling that his character is very close to him and Emily Blunt knows how to do the job. I personally missed the days when you just go out go catch a movie and just have some fun. I tell you this now, the one movie that’s going to determine where you’ll see how movie goes are is going to be Furiosa. If for some reason that does not do well then it’s I cannot even begin to assess what people want to see anyway that’s my rant as always thank you so much for letting me make my peace.
I enjoyed this movie. Not to the extent I was hoping for but the stunts and action were great, the cast was excellent and all the behind the scenes of the movie set sequences had my inner movie geek very satisfied! Great review
So much history of fall guy...lol 🐻
😊😊 oh hey, so sorry I know I’ve probably said it like 1000 times before but dead boy detectives on Netflix is really awesome. Only eight episodes and well worth the watch you would really like the show because of the character development.
Yeah i went to go see this opening weekend on the Saturday it came out and I thought this movie was awesome , this os one if my favorite movies of the year and it makes me sad this movie is doing bad at the box office
I blame the fact most movie reviewers aren't honest and base it on agendas and checklists. Also the overall poor quality that has been coming out of Hollywood for a few years now has soured people.
Hi Amanda have a great day and love your voice 😍
It’s flopping because people would rather see the phantom menace, like me
Covid and ticket prices and not take chance to see a bad movie on a date of 30 dollars just to get in the place then drinks and food and if there going in fools in there. I good 7.1 atmos /dtxma in my studio when xmen 97 rock the place or any my anime movies that on my computer hard drive as Iype watching NBA playoffs on 85 tv connect to all that so I good and one last thing if those acter and actress want hook up do not need make a mr's smith moment maybe I wronge give it time lol
