- What happens if we don't have the lock on the fridge and the pantry locked? This is what happens. Food has always been a major reinforcer for Abigail so the only way to keep it from happening is to lock it up.

I've only recently have came across your channel and I wished I would've found it sooner but glad I came across it nonetheless. I am honestly hooked, I am 28 years old and I was born with sickle cell anemia ss and got diagnosed and a year old. Also Sickle Cell Awarness Month is on September. I love your channel and your family and they way guys interact and love on Abbie it melts me to my core. I watch you guys when I'm in the hospital and at home all the time! Love you guys so much.

October is also dysautonomia awareness month! I have a form of dysautonomia called POTS and started watching you guys around the time I was diagnosed. It was a really rough time in my life and your family helped to take my mind off it. ❤️

I’m a sub teacher and haven’t been back to school since March. The clips of her getting dropped off remind me of what my mornings were like and I really miss them. I’m thankful for those clips, they brighten my day!

She specifically knows that she isnt suppose to get into food, yet she does. How do you correct that, without giving her positive attention?
It’s not her trying to be bad it’s the need for food and looking for something to do
@@mariahmoritz7180 she doesnt NEED it. She has pica. Shes told no and does it anyway. She always asks for food no matter how much she has already eaten. They do not want her to eat so much she makes herself sick, as gagging is one of her worst stims.
@a n she absolutely knows there are consequences to her actions. Asa has repeatedly stated that she thrives on chaos.
We are moving soon andnI cant wait to have a house so we can control the environment better for our 8 year old. He has extreme food seeking behaviors, even when he isnt hungry. Keep up the effort!
My husband has aspergers....it actually can be pretty debilitating at times for him. I am most of the time supportive and then there are days that I just want to cry...finding your channel...seeing your patience and realism has helped me a lot...I pray I can be a big hearted some day...I feel like its a diff. loss when you find out your spouse has aspergers...but, I am looking for the gains...I know they are there...I just have to change my persepctive with this new diagnosis.

My Mom had a lemon tree when she lived in Florida! She would eat lemons while she was pregnant with me!
Mine too! Craved lemons. And we did not have a lemon tree nearby.
We both like lemon things, though I could never just bite into a lemon like she did!

I just love watching you guys. I saw a project abs could do for Halloween. If I could send a picture would be better. But you get some apples and cut them in half, then dip it in orange paint and push the apple on paper. Let the paint dry and can turn them into pumpkins.

Thank you so much for mentioning that october is Dwarfism awareness month my son who is nonverbal autistic also has achrondoplasia dwarfism. So basically tons of traits he shares with Abbie but he's a boy and he's 3.5 feet tall. He is 11. Love yall so much thank you for giving me a place to come where I feel not so alone.
Yes I did and my Sons best friend has Achondroplasia. And even at 4 years old they are help each other in so many ways.

My daughter has started stealing food too. I am waiting for an evaluation for high functioning autism. She has so many characteristics of it. She doesn’t sleep at all. She has now been diagnosed with adhd, ocd, spd, and severe anxiety. Your videos give me hope ❤️❤️❤️

My son eats all the candy bars out of his lunchables. I need to find a way to lock those up but I also like that he can get them out and open himself.
Maybe just put one or two in his view and hide the rest in the back of the fridge or wherever you keep them?

Maybe you could make your “own” lunchables and that way you could add what you want him to have if you want to limit the candy. They sell some great containers, sometime called Bento boxes, and they allow you to separate the food into compartments and they don’t need to be over the top fancy like the ones on Pinterest.
