Excellent video. The diagrams in the instructions had me so confused how to properly attach the facings but you made it crystal clear. I've finally completed my first (practice) shirt. Thank you!!!

I am brand new to sewing and this really helps me to translate what I’m reading on the pattern into actual steps in my brain. Thank you so much! I sewed along with you, pausing between steps and it made a huge difference compared to when I tried to figure it all out by myself.

Thank you very much for your video. Your video was indispensable. Without it, I doubt I would have been able to complete my shirt. Thank you again.

Amazing! Thank you! Very helpful. I was in the midst of sewing my first shirt and got stuck at the collar part. This is exactly what I needed to see and learn.

Excellent video. You explain things really well. Please create a video for the men's shorts with McCall's 6972. Can't find a video for them anywhere. 🥰🥰🥰

Greetings from San Antonio. I just finished the shirt and am so happy with it. This is my first time sewing sleeves and they came out fantastic! I had some challenges with the collar (also a first) but was able to make adjustments in the slip-stitching stage. My husband likes the shirt very much. I plan to make another one or two shirts with different fabrics to practice with sleeves and collars. Thank you very much for making this tutorial.

Thank you so much for posting this! Pattern instructions totally confuse me, and this was by far the most helpful tutorial I've seen on CZcams up to this point.

🤣 I finally pulled out this pattern that I bought months ago thinking it was for both adults and children! This is what happens when you don't read the description. Thank you for this tutorial, I may only have the children's size, but this was so helpful💜

We're so pleased to hear it was helpful for sewing up the children's size. The envelope is perhaps a little misleading on this one!

Thank you so much! You have made it much easier to understand. I lengthened the shirt by two inches, do i need to adjust the button holes accordingly? Do i add an extra hole? Thank you!

Hi there! We are so glad you enjoyed the sewalong, with your question you may do either of the suggestions your provided - However, just watch out for the gaps between the button holes and ensure they are not too far away :)

I seem to have a lot of excess fabric when pinning the sleeve to the armhole edge. Am i doing something wrong?

4-22-24 Good video but, please sew with contrasting thread for better viewing.
Under stitching how do you sew straight without a guide?
What is that clear sewing foot called?
