My phtographic record of how i built my garage, local builders wanted £25,000 to build this so i did it myself, with a little help from a couple of friends for less than £5000!
Wow, amazing build! Pretty cool to find a bomb shelter under all that! I'm looking to try and build my own garage as I can't afford the obscene prices builders quote me! I know fuck all about building, but hey, fuck it, it'll be fun and that's what youtube is for :D
Like to see a build like this, it enthuses. Our garage is donkeys years old sectional with an asbestos roof. Fits a large car and a small car in line with room for washing machines / driers. Once I get few more jobs out the window this appeals, don't mind the hard work but the price of materials is a bargain! The way I see it more money for other toys!
lots of hard work there but that will never pass in the states. we use lots of rebar in our builds and 3500 PSI concrete mixes poured into the cells of the block wall.
Looks nice but the large window header scares me... Trying to find a video that shows how headers and roofs are installed in cinder block building. Grats on your project!
John Hanslip I agree! But I understand the humor behind it! I mean, an old white guy typically listens to either country folk, or rock'n'roll music from his younger days. So it's freakin hilarious to watch a video about an old white guy building a garage, and then having to listen to this crappy club song talking about lady humps n what not... I just say "wtf?!?!" and keep laughing. :)

Really impressive build there mate. Great video. How hard was it to make the roof? im looking at buying a house and the garage roof is asbestos so has to be removed, so ill have to put a new roof on, but because of funds ill be doing it myself. In the past ive fitted a kitchen and bathroom, but that's my only diy experience.

U guys use inferior hollow bricks & is why most of your builds fall down and blow over.
