Thank you for reacting to Zhou Shen's performance. To tell you a bit of his background. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names..... because of that he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now.
He has studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to study Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is very good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least over 12 different languages. He can even sing 6 different voices in one song. His music has so many different genres.
A lot of people even some of his fans says that even Zhou Shen didn't mind that but being honest, from his childhood experiences. Who will want anyone labelling us by something which is not our choice in life? A lot of time Zhou Shen will smile to answer when people mention his voice but when someone smile, either they are really happy but a lot of time, they have no choice but to only use a smile to cover this kind of uncomfortable question for them. I know a lot of people will disagree with me on this subject but I am sure for you guys out there with this doubt. No one in this world will enjoy anyone labelling us. Zhou Shen did mind that kind of question when anyone labelling his voice as a woman voice.
If we are Zhou Shen's fans. We should try to understand of his feeling inside and not just by his responses to those interviews. He is a public figure and he needs to show the positive side when facing the public. Yes, he is a very honest person when he answering on a lot of his interviews with a smile but on some subjects like that. I don't think he can explain too much.
If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. Zhou Shen's music is one of them that can heal your soul. Thank you again for reacting to Zhou Shen's performance.

zhou shen is 1 of the best vocal singer I know, the treasure boy from china. I'm not music expert but what I know zhou shen voice is naturally high like between a kid to female range. Zhou shen and dimash are different when dimash vocal is like out of this planet but zhou shen is vocal is angelic and ethereal. don't get me wrong I like them both. you can try to listen zhou shen

Thank you for your reaction. Zhou Shen is a wonderful male singer who has a crystal clear voice that is so pure and with great healing power. If you keep digging, you'll find what a treasure he is. Maybe you can try some of his English songs like Monsters(2020), Memory(2018), Think of me(2019), Champions(2021), and Try Everything (2021). He is amazing.

Upwards to the Moon is an ost of Chinese Fantasy Drama series called Ashes of Love and the original singer of this song Is Sa Ding Ding. It's a beautiful song and Sa Ding Ding sang it beautifully too. However, in this performance where Sa Ding Ding sang it with Zhou Shen, it became breathakingly spectacular performance. I've watched this video over and over again and I keep having the same reaction and feeling towards this performance, chills, stunned and awed.

Sa Dingding wrote this song for the Ashes Of Love series. She's an INCREDIBLE vocalist and was the first Chinese singer to be nominated for a Grammy.
He's a male, his voice never changed at puberty. This is outside for autumn festival in China one of the most important festivals of the year, Sa Dingding wrote the song of an epic tv series in China called Ashes of love. Based on a Chinese legend written in the Zhou dynasty by a Taoist poet named Tao Qian, you should look him up. My wife is Chinese from China and every year we celebrate Autumn festival and eat moon cakes made of red bean paste.
If my wife saw me write this she would kill me, as you know the Chinese women are very jealous. But it has to be said Sa Dingding not only has a beautiful voice but has to be the most beautiful woman in China. A true treasure.
I know I'm really late on this, but.... The woman, Sa Ding Ding, is the original artist who sings the OST to "Ashes Of Love" which happens to be my favorite Chinese drama!!! And along with Charlie Zhou Shen, well come on now, amazing duet. sigh.... BTW you should see some of the incredible production of this drama. smh Hint: the lyrics are part of the drama plot. Sa Ding Ding was also given a Support Role on the drama and got her inspiration from the incredible plotline.

You are right. When I first heard zhou. Dimash was the only one who came to mind in term of comparison. The only difference dimash goes to all octaves low and high. Zhou is like dimash high half. And the passion in his voice dare I say similar to Dimash. Coming from a four years dear. I even bough a Dimash ticket to his concert in Germany. Its great to have to crazy hard working young artists. Each one from a different planet and universe.
