The DJ Deck Strip is the ultimate Ableton Live 11 DJ controller.
This effect chain is accompanied by a carefully designed Max for Live device that gives you all the controls you need for manipulating a track real time.
As well as containing the basic stuff (like a 3 band EQ, high and low pass filters, and a CDJ style looper), the Deck Strip contain more advanced tools like a sweepable band pass filter, time synced EQ slide functions, and a module with 32 effects with multiple controls, that can be automated via a modulation engine.
You can load up as many Deck Strips as you like, and use them to turn Ableton Live into a fully functional DJ performance tool.
Included in this package is an additional Light version, containing just the EQs, Filters and Looper.

Very interesting and useful plugin for folks interested to use ableton to DJ or even use it as part of a larger DJ setup. What i noticed when attempting to do this setup was the missing features of hot cues and loopers which a DJ typically uses per track . I think having the deck support hot cues would be a great feature .
Also since you ask feedback about pricing , i think you must offer the lite version free for people to test and a full featured deck where you can keep adding more features for 10$ or more as you have done now. This will help people who are not sure atleast play around with it and give you feedback to grow this as well .
Yeah. $10 is nothing. It's a bad pie and a sugary drink from a corner dairy. Much better to buy this and then if you don't use it, at least you've made a healthy choice. :)
Also think that it's great you separated out this from the mega set (too much for controller/serato DJs like me). Often I want more EQ than the Zone EQ clone that I've got in Live. This is that.

I wish ableton would step up their game in the DJ features. It has potential to be amazing, all they need to do is add the ability to view two waveforms at once (ive seen your Max device) and cue points and this software would blow any pioneer deck out of the water. Until they do that with a controller, no one is going to DJ using a keyboard and a mouse

If this isn’t synchronicity then I don’t know what is. It’s been a handful of years since I last had any interest in djing with Live. Until a few days ago when I started researching the possibilities, and now I got an email from you (which was also a few years ago last) with this device updated. Will definitely grab this, it is exactly what I need! Bravo 👏🏻
Fantastic work! As a suggestion it’d be good to be able to zoom the waveform display in & out so you can see when the next beats are about to hit without having to check the clip view
That is something I've been working on (for a looooooong time), I haven't quite got it good enough yet. It's a bit of a roundabout way to get that sort of data - but I agree it would be a huge addition.
Mate the timing is perfect, i've been a long time DJ using Ableton since the early days and been using variations of Arack, ProDJrack and my own but this, omg, the perfect replacement with so much more flexibility and variety, I esp love the effects section and the visual feedback / track naming....definately buying and thanks for reading our minds and putting in the work to make these a reality! Thank you!

the both knob is like the colour fx filter off the pioneer mixers and now the numark channel filters so i can see why it'd be asked for.
About time someone did something...cause I have been DJING off Ableton for eons now and always wanted someone to streamline the process

Cant believe i stumbled on this gem what the holy moly
This is slick! One feature I couldn't tell if it was included is the beat jump (as its called in traktor) where one can quickly skip forward / backward by a quickly adjustable amount of bars. I also pine for having the upcoming waveform to look at to plan around (again, like traktor et al) - is that possible?. Those two things are my main tools to quickly jump around tracks.
I think beat-jump and CUE point would complete that awesome work.
Cant wait to try this out. Ive used the Isotonik looper but its glitchy when working on bigger projects and it dosnt have the "In-Out". If this works on bigger projects to i think your price is to low :) The Isotonik is around 40 euros
I will suggest like pioneer cdj nexus 2 to cut the loop also manually when you create a loop. Like James hype transition

I love this product but as a DJ I would love to have the option to transfer all my Serato DJ creates and cue points..
-Not have to start warping tracks all the time take to Long compared to Serato DJ track analysis..
-Then be able to listen to the other track with headphones before dropping it or blending..

Is there a way to audition the FX section pre it going to PA system, so we can check what it sounds like prior to sending it out to the audience, also price is too low charge more and do more dev work, eventually Ableton will offer streaming music like Beatport through it.

How are the eq filters? Do they color the sound like the eq 3 and boost the channel volume or does it just keep it at how the track was left after master?? Been trying to find eq that dosnt change the sound!!??

Any chance in future there could be a "master" one, and daughter plugins on each channel, so you could have like 2, 4 or 8 channels worth on the one interface? Or is that crazy talk? One thing that puts me off DJing in ableton is the way it's designed around looking at one track at a time.
I'm so used to having it set to "auto hide" plugins when I change tracks, otherwise my screen quickly turns into a mess... maybe the obvious solution is get used to that setting bring disabled?
This was the original design, however it it came at a sacrifice of not being modular.. some people need two..some people need 8. In the next version I am hoping to have a fixed/saved position space of the popups, so you can pop them all up in one go to their same position.
If you didn't see, the Deck strops have a float toggle box in the main device window. Turning this on means the window will never go to the background, so you can stack them all up next to each other and still navigate ableton without them going away.

Would I be able to install DJ Deck Strip on both macbooks from just a single purchase / download?

We as DJs who are used to Decks need a cross fader to blend tracks there is a feeling I can't explain when 2 tracks just blend smoothly 💯💙
I'm guessing you also need Max for Live installed to get the loops and effects to work, right?

Hello. First congrats. I bought it and I love it. I have two questions. By me after some time of using it the eq and effects not working anymore. No idea why and second question I used push 2 in user mode to trigger in out loop mode but coloring sometimes gets confusing .. it is like I have to press double time to activate and deactivate the buttons. Any idea how I can fix this . Thank you very much and greetings from Romania

Hi! It's a very cool idea for now... I'm going to play backing tracks in Ableton and I'm going to play live elements... So I bought your plug-in for Ableton Live. I hooked up my first deck and checked that the looper function works, but the three equalizers don't work (bass, middle, high). The volume goes, which is the problem. Please help me

does the looper automatically grab a perfect loop? As in, if i hit in, say a 1/4 note before the next bar, and then hit out somewhere in the middle of that bar, will it grab a perfect loop of that bar? similar to launching clips in ableton, in that you launch them before the next bar ?
im having major difficulties getting the looper to work properly. Its grabbing a loop either 1/4 note before or after the bar i want to loop starts. Ive tried everything. Ive sat and tried again and again and again, launching by clicking, key mapping, midi mapping, before the bar i want looped starts, after the bar starts, exactly on the downbeat of the bar. Ive changed my global quantization to different values. Ive spent hours haha. In your video it looks like it automatically grabs a perfect loop. Am i doing something wrong? is there a setting im missing? ive tried with plenty of different genres, and tracks, all warped perfectly. IDK , please help!!! I so badly want this to work.

Hey Tom, in the Dj Deck Strip 1.0 ...the "Reset All Button" doesn't reset dials to 0 (64)! ...when i press the Reset All Button it jumps at 3 o'clock(107)....can you fix and update that!? Thanks...

The CDJ style looper is a game changer! Is there any way to run something like that from the master channel of a multitrack stems set? I suppose I could put one on each individual track and midi map them together, but would that be crazy on cpu usage?
The CPU signature of the Light version is pretty small. It's just sending instructions, give it a go! The BIG deck strip has quite a lot of effects and processing, so see how you go with the light version.
