  • It’s been 30 years since NZ First was formed as a political backlash to neoliberalism. In 2018, Winston Peters was Acting Prime Minister under Labour Party leader Jacinda Arden. In 2020, he and his party were gone. Now he’s back. And Wanting to Take Back our Country. But from whom? Where did it go. And what’s with all the carry-on about Māori not being Indigenous? I sat down with Winston Peters at Eden Park.

    Interesting. Within the first few minutes, Winston addressed the very thing happening in my daughter's primary school. Same-sex toilets are causing little girls to have accidents, and worse, wait until they get home before using the toilet. Just the other day, my daughter said she always has to flush the toilet before she can use it, as little boys don't flush after themselves.
    I've even witnessed the young boys kicking the toilet doors when girls are inside. There are no safe private spaces for our girls, and I'm curious to know what happens when they get their periods. How uncomfortable is that going to be? Have a little empathy Moana, and get off your high horse.

    • @MsPeaches2you
      @MsPeaches2you Před 8 měsíci +27

      @@shereerihari2691 I’m sorry to hear that. It sounds like it’s happening in a lot of countries.
      To be honest it’s frightening what I have heard - at primary school level already, if a child wishes to change their gender pronoun etc, the teachers have to accept and acknowledge this, without the parents knowledge. My own daughters deputy principal told me she can’t say anything to the parents when this happens. The best she can do is tell the parents that their child has something to tell them. This is so wrong on so many levels, it boggles my mind.
      Some people genuinely have gender dysphoria, but current trends seem to be more societally driven - this generations version of lobotomies or anorexia. Let’s just hope we survive it!

      People are simply trapped in the feel-good solutions of woke ideology, because the real solutions require a crapload of self responsibility and aren't glamorous. But to get them to see the illogical fallacies behind their reasoning, requires you to have patient and calm rational dialogue with them.. Otherwise you activate their fight or flight centres and they won't see nothing you're trying to point out - even if is literally dangling them in the face. This is the one thing Winston lacks in - despite his intelligence and truth behind what he's pointing out, if it's not done with care, it can just cause more radicalisation!

    What a clear vision I got with this interview as to why so many things have been done in the last 3 years with no mandate or consultation with the greater voting public. That young lady had no clear argument but her own prejudice and had no real interest in what the person she was supposed to be interviewing had to say. She was so wrapped up in her own views. A very sorry so called interview.

      @@scottmorrison1561 Woke = anything to do with affirmative action. Whether that be teaching gender and sexualities, pushing for indigenous frameworks, making te reo compulsory, teaching racial discrimination in schools. It's all virtue signalling nonsense that deviates from actually important subjects like science, math and English. Personally, I disagree with most of that kind of thinking, but it is what it is.

    • @scottmorrison1561
      @scottmorrison1561 Před 8 měsíci

      @@naniok4271 Personally I think because of how insane the 'regressive left' can be with their reactionary attitudes, many of these 'woke' ideas become seen as only being discussed to gain brownie points, ie: for virtue signalling purposes.
      However, I actually think many of the ideas you've listed above are good, especially for a bi-cultural nation like NZ. I mean, why not have te reo taught in schools?
      I agree that discussions around gender, sexuality and racial discrimination are VERY convoluted on all sides these days, but I also think they're very important in principle, to be discussed. The question is when should kids learn about them, how should they be taught and what parameters should be put in place, ie: if kids (or adults) disagree with a particular point of view, you can't crucify them - it's not black and white.
      Ultimately I share a lot of view points with this 'woke left'. But, it's also largely because of them (and the media / politicians and political CZcamsrs etc) that capitalise on its absurdity that many people who consider themselves Left leaning, don't feel connected to the people who are most vocal about these Left leaning ideas.
      To be honest I think there are many reasons for this culture war shit - I'm looking forward to more rational Left leaning voices making good content and influencing public discourse, and in turn more rational conservative voices popping up away from talking about Trans bs 60% of the time.

      1) Maori have the highest Prison Inmates in the Jails in NZ. The system works against the people. They are cursed back to jail by Prison Guards. Thrown into Isolation cells 23 hrs a day, dont have a shower for days. ( under Draconian Conditions) DBlock at Poremoremo Prison example)
      2) More Maori in gangs. As one gang member said on a radio talk back show interview,
      'Gangs are an Anger Outlet.'
      3) According to John Key;
      90% of Maori Youth Committed Suicide😢 he mentioned hearing about some Maori youth at the Kings College/Uni? had killed themselves,why?
      4) More Maori Homeless in NZ.
      5) And the list go's on...
