Elderly Woman Discovered Deceased In Creepy Abandoned Home

- In todays video we will be exploring an abandoned house in a small rural town. It was a modest, three bedroom, one bathroom, 1200 square foot house that was built on the edge of a beautiful scenic lake back in 1938. It appears that the old house was built by a married couple that would go on to be the only people to ever live in the home. The couple eventually had one daughter and a handful of grandchildren. However, after her husband passed away in the 1990s and her daughter in the 2000s, the now near 100 year old woman lived all alone in the old house.
She had lived there for as long as anyone could remember, and nobody really knew anything about her except that she was a recluse, didn't really have much family left, and she absolutely loved cats.
The old lady eventually died in her house and her cat was found still alive.
As it turned out, the cat eventually became the talk of the town. The people took turns feeding it and caring for it, and it quickly became known as the luckiest cat in the world. It had been saved from certain death, and it eventually found a new home in the hearts of one of the old lady’s neighbors.
The old lady may have passed away, but her memory lived on in the kindness and compassion of the people who had cared for her cat. And the cat continued to live a happy and healthy life, surrounded by the love of its new family. At least this sad story, has a happy ending. Id like to suggest shutting drawers and cupboards after yourself. It may help to protect the contents from some of the inevitable deterioration. Strange that no grandchildren or extended family have tàken on the property or any arrangements to empty and sell .
It’s a sad story but it’s Amazing how well that house is kept up after being left and abandoned. Unfortunately there’s a lot of abandoned homes like this. Great Story guys!
It completely baffles me that nobody ever claims the house or the personal belongings inside, especially the pictures, which truly saddened me! It's a shame that this beautiful home it's just rotting away!

Unfortunately it's usually the locals/neighbours that find out. You get use to their routine from day to day. Then it all changes all of a sudden.

As a cat person I am happy that her beloved pet got the good ending and as for the women It's a shame she was alone when she passed but it sounds like she left this world peacefully which the best anyone can ask for in her position. Thank you for sharing this once beautiful home with us, Cheers!

Thanks for the video! I can still feel that the elderly lady is the one who truly loves life, making her house so cute with many adorable decorations and interior details. Like other comments mentioned, I also feel saddened by seeing all those quaint little treasures, photos and memories left abandoned along with the house...

A lady up the road back in the 80s/90s use to have cats. Named after cat characters TC, Sylvester and Bagpuss 🤣 She passed away 5 years ago sadly 🥀 She was a lovely lady. Always baking and I always had a cuppa with a cake 🍰 whenever I popped round 😊
I love this home. Just knowing this lady lived her whole life there enjoying her home ( from the story told at beginning) makes me so happy. My only wish is for all explorers to respect the homes of others when they trespass upon them. How much effort does it take to put things as they were gound?? She appeared to have several Grandchildren from her one daughter that passed. Wondering why none have taken any interest in the property?? Just another example as to why not to gather objects upon earth to gather dust and where thieves can rob. Gather up your riches in heaven. We cant take it with us. What an adorable typical elderly womans home. Lol mine has tie dyes, wood stumps for tables, etc. But im not typical!! Thanks for sharing!!

This happens because nobody wants you after 80. Unless you are rich circling like vultures waiting for you to die while smiling at your face. Poor kitty cat. But I'm glad she was saved. That is a beautiful house. So sad it was not fixed up and restored. With property taxes not paid, I'm surprised the municipality did not confiscate the property and demolish the building for a new mall.

The neighbors took better care of the cat than they ever did that lady.

I always wonder if there is any family around who would at least collect the family photos and maybe maintain and sell the property. I suppose they may be distant, mentally and physically from their grandmother's life, caught up in their own lives. Maybe the grandchildren never heard much about it.
One of my relatives has retired and moved away from his farm. He still owns it but is not able to maintain it. I go there when I can and do what I can. Very lucky that he put a new roof on the house. Otherwise it would be a goner. Once the roof gives up, that is the end of a building. (no, I am not in the roofing business)
Just a couple of suggestions. It would be very interesting to know the general area and what kind of area it is whether rural or suburban. Also it would be cool to see the exterior architecture and the general condition of the surroundings. That is if it wouldn't give away the specific location or cause you trouble. In my opinion, this is a very good video, respectfully done.
Thats so sad she was all alone.....why didn't her grandchildren check on her or visit?!? With all the photos She absolutely loved her family...but just so heartbreaking....im so glad her fur baby survived!!!

in the room with the 2009 newspaper on the bed, the white quilt looks to have some stains on it, it appears to be dried blood, that seems to be the place she die on, i wish people did not have to die alone like this, so sad....

THIS IS MY MADE UP STORY...SO MAYBE THIS WON'T BE SUCH A SAD STORY AFTER ALL.
'Grandma's. Story
All she now has are her pictures, memories & her kitty's, everyone else...is gone.
BUT (You) - GRANDMA stuggle to go on alone...work in the garden, cut the grass...shop, cook, clean till one day those task's get harder & harder -- Maybe then you get a companion accupple days a week & 'they' shop & cook & clean.
THEN....YEARS LATTER
From her bedroom window 'Grandmom' see's her now over grown garden & a small child's wooden play house....a thin smile & some tears roll down her now wrinkled cheek.
As the old woman lays down & closes her eyes a thin smile comes to her lips as she hears her beloved Kiddy purring.
Accupple of days latter the bed is made with clean sheets, the Kitty has been adopted & Grandma now has a new 'home', her body is placed next to her husband. And as the once hired housekeeper places down some flowers & walks away...
'Grandma' & her husband..in a pretty cemetery. & their sprites now again appear young & healthy now just gently fad away on a warm gental breeze.
Unfortunately alot of times the only thing many 'family' members are interested in is the bank account(s), all the wonderful 'memories', pictures, nick nakes -- the greedy folks don't care about.
My 'X' sister, & so on are such people who were never there for the in- laws when they needed help, only there to take what they wanted, esp. $ -- then they were gone like the wind.
I have the last 17 years of my mom's life that we got spend that time together, no one can 'steal that'.🍺😎

Haha yea some of those nick nacks are worth a lot of money. I've seen plates and mugs go for $50-$100 a piece. One house had a dining room set and someone sent me a photo of the exact one that sold for $2500 used. 😮 I don't steal anything from these buildings but that one had me thinking about it 😂😂

It was a simple joke because people used to hid money in the underwear drawer. If we actually were stealing shit, the entire house had collectables that you could steal. if I was robbing houses, I wouldn't be filming it for youtube either lol. As you wander through the structures, your comments are sometimes sketchy. Like saying the place is "loaded" or wondering multiple times if there is money in the area you are currently searching. I love exploration videos, BUT, I dislike it when "explorers" can't hide what their utter motives are while doing the exploration. It looks extremely bad, to go through things looking for the "money"
