  • Resistance fighters in Myanmar have been winning battles against the ruling military junta in clashes across the country, leading many to believe that the government could be at risk of collapsing.
But last week the military said it had recaptured Myawaddy town on Myanmar's eastern border with Thailand, sowing doubt over the resistance's gains.

You know, I’ve seen outrage about the lack of intervention from the West, but looking at the games being played in Ukraine, the Middle East, and the effectively frozen conflict in the Balkans, it’s probably best for Myanmar to find its own freedom without “help”. It’s such a shame that so many people must suffer through violence though :/ I wish that the help came real, sincere, and powerfully

For some context: The Myawaddy is one of the few border trades Town still under control by the Junta. The Junta's Army is putting the Last Major Offensive directly command by the second-in-chief. Using all the prohibited weapons such as Napalm and Chemical weapons doing the unselective area bombing to the civilian areas, military is putting up the fight. The Myawaddy Town have another issue. It's mainly controlled by BGF armed by the Military and which is choosing side recently and still inconclusive . Neither Junta nor Rebel forces have control over Myawaddy .BGF does. If the Myawaddy fall and the Last major Offensive by Military failed. The Junta's collapse will be numbered.

Having a fledgling democracy next to China's autocracy was too volatile. So China aided the junta in overthrowing Myanmar's government.
Since the fighters have channels to receive aid (Myanmar has very long, porous borders), some 'entity' should buy and donate a large cache of Russian weapons.

China's goal for Myanmar is quite simple it just want stability for trade. China's will side with anyone for stability. I'm not sure if democracy will work either. Too many differences and especially hate among each other. Everyone is going for violence and total eradication... No wonder UN do nothing but worried :P
