Rare Shirley Temple Recording "Someday You'll Find Your Bluebird" 1939

During the Christmas Season of 1939, Shirley made her radio debut promoting her newest picture 'The Blue Bird.' In Shirley's autobiography, she recalls the event vividly. In the middle of the broadcast, a woman in the audience pointed a gun at her, intending to kill her in retribution for Shirley stealing her daughter's soul (she claimed her daughter died the same day Shirley was born). Shirley continued to sing while the FBI wrestled the woman to the floor. Later, Shirley quipped that someone else was responsible for stealing the soul; the woman was using her 1929 fabricated birthdate rather than her real 1928 birthdate.
