I remember reading a post on reddit over the summer talking about how the reason why Aizawa is always tired is because he does hero work all night, and then comes in and teaches during the day. Literally Batman of MHA

It's useless. Erasing his cringe quirk doesn't take away his natural cringe. He'll just be blown away by tekking's cringe after thinking erasing his quirk is enough.
26:40 What moved Eraser to kinda take Shinso as his protege was the fact that his quirk was just amazing, but due to the nature of the entrance exam, which Aizawa hates fair and square, he wouldn't be able to pass it in his entire life. A really strong useful quirk, and wouldn't get used because politics? He wasn't gonna let that happen

the entrance exam seems pretty stupid overall, there are probably a lot of useful quirks that get tossed because they can't destroy a robot, maybe just have a few different exams depending on what quirks can do or something

I had a professor in my photonics course that was spontaneously strict like Aizawa. His lectures were entertaining because he loved to shoot the shit and he wrote our textbook but if you were 1 minute late to lab you'd be locked out of the room and get a 0 for the assignment and if you missed 2 you'd be expelled from the course. It was strangely both trial-by-fire and fun.

Also Aizawa is honestly easily top 5 favorite characters from MHA for me. I dig his design, he has an awesome quirk, I can 100% relate to his personality, and seems like he has a better grip on what it means to be a hero more than some other heroes do.
I kind of want to see an arc where pretty much all the quirk's are rendered powerless(either pro heroes, or students and teachers), the villains come out having set up technology that did so, spouting off such lines as, "You are powerless before our might! We shall kill you all to send a message to the whole world!!!!"
And then Aizawa goes all Batman Ninja Martial Arts on them, and completely destroys them when other heroes could do little to nothing to stop quirked villains when they had no quirks.
Sadly, this will probably never happen. Unless someone writes a fanfiction. But is it so bad to want to have Aizawa curbstomp some villains that, say, Endeavor was having trouble with?
Aizawa Sensei would get along great with Batman,Kakashi,Professor Snape, and Dr.Stein... OK maybe not that last one, Aizawa's creepy, but he's not insane to the point of wanting to cut things/people open.
Aizawa would drop kick Snape the second he found out how he treated his students, gtf outta here with this 'get along great' shit.

I just thought of this but if it turns out a student is a traitor its very possible shinso is getting brought in as a replacment to keep numbers even. That means the traitor would be reavealed really soon

Got real with your students in the first appearance
One thing I have wondered about in the My Hero world is remember when All Might said to Deku that you have to have a quirk to be a hero otherwise it is just impossible, the thing I am wondering is why is that the case. Take Aizawa as an example. He has a fairly handy quirk but it doesn't buff his combat abilities at all at least I don't think it does. When he is fighting that is all him and his training. I bet that even if he didn't use his Quirk Aizawa could still take out the generic riffraff that normal Heroes run into and possibly even some of the tougher villians just using his pure physical fighting ability. So All Might knowing Aizawa why would he make the claim you have to have a Quirk? Granted people with fighting ability like Aizawa would be rare but they most certainly exist.

It doesn't make sense, but in the end, it's just a plot device.
Because honestly, Midoria would have ended up being a support genius and make stuff to aid the heroes.

On Aizawas name. Old school tape recorders had multiple heads : erase head, record head and playback head (later record and playback were in 1 head). Given that Present mic (music/DJ inspired hero) gave Aizawa his name, it could be that this is what his name is based on.

Just like Kakashi can defy the laws of physics and run at the speed of light, Aizawa can have a quirk. Physics doesn't matter when it comes to fictional anime.

I think aizawa senseis hair and cloth floats because, when he activates his quirk, the things attached to him lose their natural properties. Lol, makes perfect sense to me!. My knowledge knows no boundaries!

I just notice how similar he is to Kakashi. He's a really chill dude. He failed whole class just like Kakashi did with i think 3 teams of genin. He's first obstacle for Deku just like Kakashi for Naruto and they both use rule that if you fail you get expelled. And they're both Badass teachers.

32:00 Eraserhead did have recovery girls Quirk and her medical training as well as that the series apparently takes place in the somewhat distant future from today they did say that they could take Interplanetary holidays if quirks didn't appear so he had a far better chance of recovery then what would happen today for us
8:18 Nope... He expells those with no potential according to him. He was ready to kick Deku in the nards out of UA immediately after the quick aprehension finished, becuase after the entrance exam he though he had no potential, but then Izuku surprised him, sacrificing only his finger to keep himself on the run. That quick thinking and capability to adapt Deku showed was what changed Aizawa's mind there. Something in the vibe of "Hmmm... maybe I was wrong and this kid does have potential. I'm gonna keep him around a little longer to see how he fares"
when you talke about the league of villains you have to talk about how they can use there quirks to rob a bank

Dude when he came in I thought: wow! He is Presentmic! And..he doesn't know it....thats just sad.... Funny! But... Kinda sad.....but mostly funny! I like it!
It’s kinda implied that Aizawa has had a fair few classes before Izuku’s since Ms. Joke says that it’s surprising that Aizawa has a full class as he usually expels a few people each year. I think that, based on that, Vigilantes actually takes place when Izuku is in elementary school, especially since Aizawa looks younger in Vigilantes (he’s 30 in the beginning of the series). If it is middle school timeline, then he would have had two classes before Izuku’s, one where he expelled a few people (so he was their home room teacher for the full 3 years) and one where he expelled the whole class (so he only taught them for one year or semester). Four years or more is likely how long Aizawa has been a teacher for.
Also, Aizawa’s Quirk doesn’t work on Mutant type Quirks. There’s three types of Quirk, Mutant, Transformation and Emitter. Erasure works on Transformation (e.g. Kirishima’s Hardening) and Emitter (e.g. One For All) but not Mutant type Quirks (which leads me to believe it wouldn’t work on Bakugo’s Explosion Quirk since Explosion is basically sweating, but I’m not sure about lighting it) so Quirks that someone is born with (because people are born with Mutant Quirks apparently) he can’t erase.
With him becoming a teacher, in Vigilantes, Oboro says that Aizawa would be a good teacher, so I think that he gave it a shot in memory of his friend. With the name, I genuinely think he just didn’t care and went with the first name suggested to him since he had to bring Midnight in to check on Class 1-A’s name suggestions since apparently that wasn’t his thing.

You know, with the whole bottom of the heap gets booted thing, I cant help but wonder, HOW is deku bottom of the heap? I mean, even without his quirk, dude is ripped. I doubt very much that mineta, for example, can run faster than him, or grip harder, or any of a thousand physical activities. Or invisi-girl, her entire quirk is "You cant see me" which does absolutely nothing for the various tests really. I can see him being in the bottom half for sure without using his quirk, but not the bottom.

Okay i understand how she beat the robots but how the hell does hagakure beat deku in the physical exams. Im sure she is fit but deku had a body trained to partially with stand one for all he should be out performing non quirk enhanced scores. Deku even has the really good ball throwing score. Hagakure probably has to activate her quirk. According to Horikoshi, if Toga drank Hagakure's blood she would not turn invisible which implies it's not part of her natural appearance.

Aizawa reminds me of my 9th grade science teacher, on the first day she gave s lecture on how "thos is an academic class, you're expected to act like academic students, any talking or using your phones in or coming late to class will result in detention" all that jazz. Cue the second week and she walks in and immediately begins complaining about her kids and going on tangents about stories from her time teaching in another school during class. Best. Class. Ever.

With me the system was quite different. "middle school" is from age 13 all the way to 18 so it's essentially your middle school and high school put together. "high school" means what comes after that so collage and university is called "high school".
Elementary is called lower school. So you go to lower school as a child, middle school as a teenager and high school as an adolescent.

Tekking! Do a video about the advertising/promotion that heroes do to get money! Even the first episode with taking out the villain on the subway there was the first-come-first-serve with saving the city, and such like those!

Aizawa's quirk could be similar in that it can't go through a screen or electronics. It has to be his natural eye.
@@rainynight02 that makes sense but if shinso quirk still works with the artificial vocal cord thingy I don't see why aizawa can't have the goggle. His quirk is temporarily disable a quirk by looking at exposed skin so in theory he should be able to use it thru binoculars or night visions and all that, right?

In my country middle and high school are fused together. You have elementary from age 5 to 13. Then Middle school from 13 to 18. High school is a thing but it's what you would call collage. I think it makes a little more sense. Elementary is for children, middle is for teenagers and high is for adults.
