Skrillz_ 14th IMO Shinso Aizawa and Dabi have less enthusiastic eyes but yeah his eyes are bland yet are hyper enthusiastic

Tekking also forgot to mention, that even after Mirio lost his quirk he *still* has fought agains't Chisaki and would'va won him even without his powers if there wasn't someone who can help Chisaki to stop him. That's what makes Allmights words about "You can't be a hero without a quirk" bullshit

He was bullshittin but I think he had reason.
All Might said that, then realized he was wrong through Midoriya's actions. Midoriya ran head first into danger to protect his friend with no quirk, battle experience, etc.. and inspired All Might. A large portion of being a hero is action regardless of your power.
I’m hoping nighteye is right when he said he’s gonna be a great hero. I hope that means he gets his powers back

Well if mirio gets his power back then having deku would pretty much be unnecessary since mirio is so OP. (Spoiler) even deku realised that and he even offered mirio to receive one for all after he lost his quirk but mirio refused to accept it. With that said deku can now shine as the strongest since mirio is out the way.

Personally, I can see Mirio as a day care owner, taking care of kids and the like. I think that would be cool if he doesn't get his quirk back.

I personally think Tamaki Amajiki is my favorite. I'm a shy, quiet person like him. But he shows that even people who don't like to be in large groups can be powerful and loved.

i just want to say , thank you mat. for splitting the video from the spoilers, since i work i didnt have the time to read the manga, so thank you.
Sounds and light pass right through Mirio's eardrums and retinas when he is phased, yet he was introduced having a conversation with Deku while his body was phased into the ground and only his face was sticking out. I think his real power is clairvoyance for perfectly predicting and participating in that conversation as if he could hear and see Deku.
I don't want to see him get his quirk back.
I'm curious to see if he still becomes a hero even without a quirk.
He'd be the opposite of Midoria in that senario. Having a quirk and losing it instead of having no quirk and gaining one.

Love how this video about my favorite character in MHA came back on my birthday.
I could see Mirio becoming something of a counselor, helping heroes overcome trauma they experience. He might slowly get his quirk back at a slow pace, but probably never back to 100%. He has the personality to become someone that helps heroes on an emotional level. He can never be the #1 hero, but he can help other heroes to become the best they can be. That is 100% Mirio.

I honestly don't think so but I want him to. I mean, Overhaul was talking about making bullets to reverse the effects of the first one, and if Eri gets a bit more control of her quirk we might be able to see it. Actually, I think that he will get his quirk back so that he can help turn the tide against the PLF in the final arcs of the story. Or if not, he might be able to become the first pro-hero that only uses support items. That's what I think and that's what I will hope for

I think Mirio will get his power back. Before he died, Nighteye used his Quirk one last time on Mirio and saw something that will make Mirio a great hero again. So I believe Eri will be the one maybe to get his powers back. After all if Deku going to be the Number 1 Hero, I would like Mirio to be number 2.

Also that fight of All-might and All-for-one. Couldn't you imagine that as the final battle of a shounen?
Fighting your polar opposite who has haunted you all your life and who you thought you had defeated in a previous climax. But now he's almost as strong as he used to be while you are much weaker yet you still pull out a win. But at the cost of your special powers and so you have to retire and live a peaceful life. That really feels like the climax and epilogue of an anime.
To me it really feels that way. That All-might is the protagonist of another shounen story that is slowly being revealed. However unlike some other anime that do this his story was not yet completely finished and we got to experience the last few chapters with him. I really want to know what exactly his journey was and how he got to be the pillar of piece.
Despite how much I would love to see Mirio get his quirk back, I can see Horikoshi making him care about Eri, something like "he wanted to save million, but saving one girl is all he needed".
And I would be okay with that
I think the reason Mirio was so chill about losing his quirk was because he lost it to protect Eri. With his personality and dream and all, I think in his mind he feels that it is absolutely worth giving up his work if it meant saving someone.
I think it will be a mix of the two when he gets his quirk back. He'll get it back in a weaker state. Just as Eri is able to reverse the damage and she'll be like "I can fix you now!" But lemillion well just be like "nerr, I'm good... I want to train it up again". Such a badass character!!!
My favorite part about Mirio is that his quirk doesn't define him. He's plenty strong on his own; his quirk just makes him that much more powerful.
He's great and the latest episode (11) was amazing, too.

I’d love to see him get his quirk back after training his body past it’s limits without having to split his focus on maintaining his permeation. But from a narrative standpoint I am curious were his arc could lead him if he never gets it back. Would he go the vigilante route like O-Clock did, or go the Ragdoll route and maintain his hero status, but work solely behind the scenes assisting other heroes.
Thought on Eri’s quirk, can she rewind her previous rewinds? Meaning rewind Mirio to before his genetic code was rewound the first time🤨🤔🧐
No matter where Mirio goes in the story he will always be my favourite character.
OH MY GOD. Just saw the most recent episode! Mirio is a badass among badasses. I now like him more than any other My Hero Academia character. Phantom Threat is an AWESOME name for a move. What a true hero!

Hey Tekking, have you heard of the theory that Monima from class 1-B is being used to potentially copy eri’s quirk in order to reverse the effects on mirio. Wanted to know your thoughts on this.

btw what I love about Mirio's quirk is that it just had a high skill floor but the ceiling of how good you can get with it is basically unreachable.
One thing you didn't mention, when Deku found out that Mirio lost his quirk, he tried to give him OFA, but Mirio refused. It just goes to show amazing of a character that Mirio is, that Deku is willing to throw away his dreams of being a hero, just so Mirio can continue being a hero.
I don't know if it was anime only or if it's canon, but around the time they brought up the plan to sell the quirk destroying bullets, they also brought up bullets that recover Quirks that they'd sell to the heroes, so obviously they either exist or they have the plans to make them somewhere in the base. I wouldn't doubt if in the future they come back up.
My boi needs to get his quirk back. i thought they were foreshadowing his death so i was relieved at the end of the arc. He is one of my favourite heroes in any medium. So a Chad guy.

@himode but wasn't he already pretty much unstoppable with permiation?, no one could touch him if he doesn't get caught off guard and he was able to knock kirishima unconscious with nothing but his bare fists, keeping in mind that his quirk is built to guard against major physical trauma to himself and it showed kirishima hardening to prepare for class As one sided beat down, considering he's more durable and physically stronger than tetsutetsu, a guy who blocked multiple bullets with his face and kept going, meaning Mirio must be striking with a force capable of shattering steel, ya he was already unstoppable, one for all would've made him unbeatable
@himode well yeah eraser could erase his quirk but like it showed in the manga he's still super capable without it, I'm glad you brought up this point tho, totally forgot about eraser but still, I think he could outlast the time his quirk is actually effective then when he can use it again slipping underground and taking him down from there
I look at the quirk regression as being an active effect. Like think of it as her power gets infused into the object she wants, and because of that it can regress it (or a part) to a point that she desires, however, with it simply being used raw like the bullet it will only affect certain things (assuming the other chemical mixtures target genetics) so that it will permeate into the person and actively stay "on" keeping the DNA of the quirk factor constantly regressed without any recovery happening from the body. The previous ones that only stayed for a certain amount of time probably lost power slowly and were healed from, so if this one is just an active effect like I'm thinking, then it wouldn't be hard (theoretically) for Mirio to have said effect cancelled by reverting it. Still, up to Horikoshi how it gets handled and I've got faith in him.
I'm a little surprised you didn't wait for the anime to reach a few more episodes to really highlight the title but I think it's great to see more Mirio stuff
If a rewind quirk exist, isn't it possible that a fast forward quirk exists as well. Also a quirk that can force evolution or something like all-for-one's quirk that allows you to inject a quirk. With a show like this possibilities are endless, you just have to wait for the right quirk to come along.
If we were going to get a “spin-off” with one of the other characters I would really like to see one with Kirishima or Dabi.
If I'm remembering it right, erri's rewind works only on living things. So she wouldn't be able to fix a broken vase...

At first I didn’t like the idea of him just getting his quirk back naturally but I really like the idea of his quirk being reverted to when he was born and now he has to wait however long it took for his quirk to manifest the first time
I feel like Sir Nighteye final use of his Quirk before he died he saw Mirio getting his Quirk back. So he smiled and told Mirio to “Never stop smiling.”

I dont think he'll get it back, he was hyped up to have the potential to become the top hero, but we know izuku eventually becomes the top hero, so either he doesnt get it back or he does but dies

I feel like the most appealing thing about deku is that heroic urge that all might said a hero has. And a lot of people downplay him, yeah he got the pretty much strongest quirk by chance but he spent a summer I think it was training his body to be able to use it to any extent. And the first time he uses it he breaks his arm and legs. And every time you see his arm or fingers turn red its cause he broke them again to save someone, but think further about the fact that it isnt normal breaking, a doctor in the series says hes basically turning his bones into fire crackers exploding them into shards. I feel one thing horikoshi might've slipped up on was not showing the pain of it, I get that he usually is feeling other things that are pretty strong at the moments he breaks them but showing his internal thinking getting delayed for a minute by him thinking bout the pain and needing to fight thru it to think about the next thing he needs to do would've been good to help people realize this dude REALLY WANTS TO SAVE PEOPLE. Also could be built upon later by his increased pain tolerance allowing him to do unique things kinda like gokus kaioken where hes flickering up the percent right before attacks where maybe if hurts to do and hes putting himself at risk but by doing it in bursts he can keep the self inflicted damage from it down.
It was mentioned in the arc that overhaul had a cure for the bullets that he was going to sale after the perfected bullets are passed out
Honestly, after seeing yesterday's episode, I'm firmly in the "Mirio doesn't need his Quirk back" camp. For one reason.
Izuku was told that you couldn't be a hero, as in the profession, without a Quirk. This may be true.
But Mirio showed that you don't need a Quirk (Or, beforehand, even the 'best' Quirk) to be a hero (As in, someone who saves people).
Of course there's also the whole thing about how Hero support items exist, and Mirio was able to go toe-to-toe with Chisaki for a WHILE before reinforcements showed up. Losing his Quirk doesn't negate the fact that he's put in a lot of hard work getting to where he is right now.
That's an angle I wish Horikoshi would explore more. There are a fair few heroes who are able to be pro heroes despite their Quirks not really giving them a significant physical edge.
The glorious son of a gun gave Overjerk a run for his money without his damn quirk . He dont need it back , he already is a true hero
Mirio getting his quirk back tbh the scenario you brought up would be possible as for the ground up Deku can sympathize since he's still scratching the surface on OFA. Amajiki and Deku would give the guy a vote of confidence that he'd climb his way back to the top of the food chain,lso I can see him shouting POWER!! when it returns in a Might Gai like fashion.

I do like the million for his symbol but I think it should have been a 'counter' so it starts at 0000001 and keeps counting up to a million instead. :D But that may have been confusing for people to have a costume that changes little by little like that.
Fantastic character though, handled really really well by the writer, and I do hope he gets his quirk back. Or at the very least they invent a support item that somehow can partially do so, then it would be him not just relearning what he had already done but learning the use his quirk in an entirely new way. :D

I feel Miro will be the one to show everyone that even without a quirk you can still be a great hero. I'm suprised there hasn't been more scene touching upon the idea of being a hero without a quirk or the idea of a group of heroes would dropped out of school going rouge as a like a way to stick it to society.
I really want Mirio to get his quirk back but I also wouldn’t be mad if he became a hero without a quirk and fought villains as a quirkless hero
I think the thing I was most impressed with Mirio was that he MADE his quirk powerful. It's not like one for all where you're basically OP as all hell from the get go. No he had to work and use blood and sweat and determination to make his quirk the way it is. His explanation as to what he has to do when he activates his quirk was really honestly shocking. Like how he said he has to activate it in one part then deactivate it when he goes through and then do it basically throughout his body was crazy then to look at him do it so flawlessly was incredible to watch. Then to see him struggle in Amajiki's flashback with him slamming into the wall was funny cause the kids were like ha you suck with your quirk and he was like so what I'll get better one day at a time and now hes the #1 hero at the most prestigious hero academy in the hero world

Joke asides, do you think there will be a chance for Mirio to "temporarily" use One for All in the future? I know it sounds like suddenly two or three characters can lift Thor's hammer, but consider what currently happen in MHA, the possibility of Deku loses power seems to rise.
Man, imagine he saves people for like decades, he could be having to tack on like an extra 6 or so zeros to his suit, it's gotta be hard at some point to count the number on his chest (assuming he could even fit that large of a number lol).
I think the way you would use his quirk is missing the point of the null zone explanation. He can turn his quirk off just as soon as he gets halfway through the wall and when your face comes out you can see and when your ears come out you can hear. It wouldn’t just blind you the entire time you’re phased, just when your eyes are.
I like your idea about his quirk coming back but without any of the training. Make him less powerful but bring him back in a good way.

Mineta's balls isn't a bad quirk, i have heard a lot of people say it but it just isn't true just think about the possibilities that the quirk has he can stop anybody and anything by just throwing a ball, it is a great quirk to be born with.

I don't know if this is true or not, but there's a rumor flying about that Mirio's design was influnced by the Fallout Boy from the Fallout series and that his quirk was derived from one of the most notable glitches in Fallout and that's when your character clips into anything even if you don't even want to.
