- So I drove the S-Max a while ago but haven't had the time to edit and upload it. And the first upload was a total fiasco as it uploaded a partial video (not sure why). And please forgive me if the audio sounded broken as the DJI Osmo's sound recording is really good but i spoke like how i used to using those crappy GoPros so i was too loud. Anyway is that the Dji Osmo fan sound that whirling in the background? Have you updated the firmware that will stop the fan once you record?

+Levski Levov definitely the Smax in terms of interior, but i prefer the Outlander's exterior. And in Malaysia, a huge price difference of RM70k, which is enough to buy another VW Polo hatchback

Hi Bobby -very good review! For me it is strange -but in Europe 2017 model has very fast Sync 3 Multimedia(Blackberry QNX) -its bether then laggy sync 2 Microsoft in this car.
I'm driving the same version of S-Max too. Do you know how to trigger the alarm using the remote key?
Hi Bobby, great review. Would you able to review a Hyundai Sonata 2015 model as this car got tons of features but not selling well compare to Japanese cars? Perception, I presume. Price wise it is a very reasonable car for a D-segment car. Thanks.

How does this compare to the likes of the 2 Series and the B Class?
+DavidWKH90 the B class is actually very underwhelming to be honest, it's arguably one of the worst premium cars to be ever on sale. The 2 AT is way better than the B Class, the 2GT is a decent MPV, both bmw 2AT and 2GT handles well, but the 2GT is rather expensive for its size (small people carrier) and the 2AT is not worth it when the X1 is all the better and being locally assembled means the X1 which by right should be more costly than the 2AT is now great value after RM50k deduction. The Smax is a much bigger car than all here and more practical i'd say. But the new Peugeot 5008 seems very very promising and it's in a form factor that i prefer (SUV). But compared to the Kia Carnival, this SMax is by far smaller and about RM50k more, albeit the SMax is a great handler and has more kits fitted standard.

how is it compare with the Kia sorento HS ?
+Goh shiaw chi i would say the Kia Sorento is a very compelling car, but to me it seems the Smax is more of a dedicated 7 seater and more flexible and spacious as compared to the 5+2 of the Sorento.

This car is too niche to find a market. At rm240k, it doesn't help as well.
+then yue wong well i'm pretty sure globally this car sells in way larger numbers than the Toyota Estima
I am sure that this car won't sell at rm240k in another country (Singapore excluded). if the main purpose as a people mover, this car doesn't really server our market's requirement as a people mover. besides the power and handling, I don't see why ppl would wanna spend rm240k on it as a people mover.

Bobby Ang , if this car gets the eev status and sell at a much lowered price, it might be another story. sometimes is not the price. is the worthiness. look at the xc90 at 400k. I still can see quite number on the road.
+then yue wong the Volvo XC90 T8 should be RM750k were if not for the tax free status. It's the highest specced.
