Absolute wonder and E power!
Awesome dude can't wait to see this thing rip!
Looking good 👍
Looks like that extra plug is for accessing software for tuning the controller.
Wow! That thing is gonna be sick. Can’t wait to see where you’re going to hide the battery. Curious what the cost is gonna be for motor and battery. You have inspired me Pat. I am in Saint Thomas Ontario Canada. Home of Joe Thorton and Rachel McAdams. I just picked up a brand new razor SX 500 McGrath from Amazon and the prices are dropping fast. I got about 625 invested Canadian and they just went down to $513 Canadian. That’s 560 after taxes. So so far I’ve added voltmeter and I rewired it with the XJ 60 connections so I could throw in a couple 48 V lithium ion battery packs. They slide right in under the cover on top of the regular battery box. I am just keeping the 36 volt batteries in there for back up. I just need to rig up a switch so I could switch from one to the other. I also already had the Vevor 48 V 2000 W kits but that’s coming later. But I think it’s still more fun than I had putting money in to boating.
And the sweet thing is I can work on this in my living room. Happy trails.😎
Oh I have one question. This is my first time using these XT 60 connections. They’re not that easy to pull apart. I wonder if I could put a little dielectric grease on them. The stuff that’s used for battery terminals. Clear like Vaseline. Thinking a little bit might not hurt. Stop the brass from corroding also. What do you think?
idk about this per say.
It'll help waterproof it as well, and its just good to do on all electric connections.,
I would say budget $3-4K for a QS138 kit and battery. I'll likely be cutting the bottom of the tank and some brackets off the inside of the frame to make it all work. I can't imagine dielectric grease would help too much with making it easier to pull apart. I honestly feel better that the connection doesn't separate easily considering the abuse these bikes are gonna go through the trails.
What motor mount did you use?
Hey I have a question about you razor mx650 with the 48v 20ah is it safe how it comes ? And did you do anything to it I’ve been hearing a lot of mixed reviews
I immediately had issue with that battery and had it switched to a different battery immediately after two videos. I went over that last year in the range test video after the install. Replaced with a 72v pack and had no issues since with that one
What sprocket came with it also would u know how to program the em200?
15-tooth 428 Sprocket. I do not, this controller came preprogrammed by Electro & Co
Hey Pat, it seems like we're on the exact same timeline. I received the same package yesterday after a 1 month wait almost to the day.......and I also have damaged phase wires. For anyone reading, my votol 260 won't fit as clean as yours does in my air box (RMZ-250). Also, I ordered my brackets from MightE ltd and got the motor mounted yesterday with similar M8/M10 hardware. Noob question......I'm having trouble mounting the pinion gear. Your vid showed it briefly, were you using a ratchet? Any tips would be helpful. Thanks for the vids and I'm very interested in how your battery will perform so please update us when you can.
Hi Mike, Can you give me a link to the mount kit you ordered? The sprocket is relatively simple, the plate on the outside is just offset. You put the chain on the sprocket, slide the sprocket on the shaft, and the slide the locking plate on, rotate it so the lock screws line up, then tighten the screws to lock it in place. The shaft has a groove cut a few mm from the very end, which is where the lock plate will keep it in place. I’ll post an update as soon as the battery comes in!
Does the controller that come with kit handle current draw uh heat lol dude this is sick love it
It’s inside the factory air box, which is vented. Haven’t gotten a chance to monitor the temps yet though. Will update soon!
Hey Pat, what battery do you recommend for a tao tao db17 frame, with a qs138 70h v3 and em200sp or em260sp? Ps. Not the electro and co kit.
You can contact Allan at AMORGE for a custom battery. Sounds like you need a 72V with at least 34AH. I’m using that with a 400A Ant BMS. You can also give them the dimensions you need to work with and they’ll build it custom for you (3-4 weeks)
@@PatOutdoors For a 125cc bike (2016 Tao Tao Db17) what battery do you think is good for em150sp? Thanks
@@PatOutdoors Also for my 3000w Qs 138 70h v3, the store Siaecyocs recommended not using the em260sp and instead the em150sp as a 3000w motor did not need that much. Are they right?
awesome kit man. how did you get ahold of them, having trouble?
I emailed them. Yes it takes 2-3 days for each response sometimes.. But I just bought it on their website
@@PatOutdoors thanks! question for ya...i am an E beginner. looking to electrify an old honda SL125. do you think ordering from E&C makes more sense than just ordering the qs138 on ebay and the battery from amorge? does it save enough headache to justify?
I own a machine shop. If you want a fellow ebiker making your brackets, just let me know.
Appreciate that! I think I can handle this one though. I'll reach out if I need help with the battery tray or the mounts for the TTR!
this motor over the qs 165v2?
Do you personally have experience using a QS165 on your bike? How was it like mounting it on your dirt bike frame?
@@PatOutdoors waiting for it still
@@kill5326 I got nothing against the Qs165, I just thought it would be easier to mount a QS138 on since there are so many brackets to choose from on the housing. Rated very similar as far as continuous power and short bursts 22-25kw for both. What controller are you using?

@@kill5326 I actually have a second kit coming in this week, using a ND72530 fardriver controller on the other one for my little TTR-90 build
