All the "heat hole" is gonna do is give the fire more oxygen to use as fuel. A real firefighter showed another clip where they intentionally stabbed a guy with a pike to find where he was instead of cutting a hole in the roof. The writers are morons.

I saw a conversation similar to this at a birthday party but the kids mother and grandmother were arguing about how to cut the cake. Fortunately the kid had the presence of mind to blow out the candles before the house burned down.
I love how many of them are on top of a building roof rather than sending minimum amount of firefighters up for safety and also a couple of them could have been entering the building to engage the fire

Meaning if they don't 100 percent know the roof won't collapse under their weight they won't get on the roof. That's how people get killed. My dad was a firefighter in the NAVY and my Uncle was a firefighter for 35 years. I learned a thing or two from them.
