Today Cleet and Squirrel went to work again on the FF Rollback. They made some serious progress getting the two cabs off the chassis, progress is looking great! They even sold the old cab to @ViceGripGarage

Anyone know how much power these transmissions can hold? Also need to know what the best clutch to run is.

We need a Cletus and George budget build off vs James and ty
I think this series has taught me that these two definitely need supervision on projects
@Cleetus McFarland✓ For future reference on rusty bolts, Lemon Juice, Baking Soda, Vinegar, Oil, And Electricity. You are welcome.
This NEEDS to become a regular series: Adventures with Cleeter and Squirrel
Lol... sounds like a cartoon title. Perfect! 🤣
100% put it on youtube original
"Thers yur problem right ther, she ain't got no gas!"

Yes! Dumb & Dumber: Episode 2
That shifter does come out!!! And it's so easy. Lift the boot, neutral, and spin the retaining ring!!!
That trans was used in big dump trucks too, thay will TAKE A BEATING!! I had one in a 383ci Snow Plow truck with posi in front and rear making around 500hp, and it took it from 1979 until I sold it last year!!
Also... make life easier and get a hydraulic master and slave cyl for the clutch. One little one in the firewall, and it'll go right in. The slave is bolted to the outside of the trans. 1986-1989 years had them, but they sell everything you need at Advance Autoparts.
@cleetusmcfarland
Just another day, Grifting Vice Grips for Saws-All Blades.
The fact Cletus can still pull 700k views with a 50 min video says alot about how entertaining They are
A view is considered 30 sec of watchtime. Not hating! Juuuust saying! ✌🏼🦅
I love these videos I get sit back after work and enjoy a show and a drink and smoke its relaxing feel good stuff
@@95jwalk Agreed.
Gotta be honest, this is one of the first ones I didn't watch. Don't really care about the truck, it's too long, seems like not much got done 🤷
@@androiduberallesone of the best videos in a while, sucka
These longer Cleetus and George videos are top tier entertainment. Gitter done squirrel!
When Derek said save the other cab after you completely destroyed it, I spit out my drink 😂
It's repairable though 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Hey now, a little duct tape and bondo, she'll be good as new, son!
and when he "sold" the engine to derek that shit killed me
@@justinmccourt14same I’m laughing hard 😂
This entire episode is OSHA approved.
Anyone in construction knows osha does not approve anything.
Forklifts are the only vehicle I genuinely fear for Cleet's safety when he's behind the wheel, and I ain't even kidding. Those things will end you real quick if you f around too much and find out.
Who’s Osha, sounds like an annoying hags name.
Buhahahaha 🤣😂👌
Don’t be surprised when OSHA shows up and puts a cease all work order on your shop and then goes around and starts writing up anything and everything. Let’s hope not, it could get expensive. You might have to see if you can squeeze a few more bucks for that old motor from Vice Grip Garage.
Whole episode is pure comedy gold, after the flatbed we need another squirrel & Cleet build show
I think Madie accidentally named it *Freddy"
I just cant stop cracking up at George!! The dudes laughter and enthusiasm is electric! Hahahaha! Love you guys!
🎉 Freedom Factory "Freddy The Flatbed!" For when dreams of glory go wrong.
While you are redoing the hydraulics redo ALL of the hoses. You are already down there with things apart, with hydraulic hoses its not a matter of if they will blow, its when. Replace them now and you will have years before you have to worry about that. And i mean ALL of them, it will always be the tiny hose that looks fine thats buried under everything that ends up blowing. Hauled a fertilizer/seed conveyor trailer around for a while, spent plenty of time crawling around the framework fixing hoses and the trailer was only 4 years old. Local manufacturer, we actually got prototype number 2 from that company. We changed a lot, like breaking all of the hoses up into 5' sections so we dont have to haul out and replace 20' of hose every time one blew, and making sure the connections were positioned somewhere reachable so even if the hose blew deep in the trailer you could still undo both ends fairly easily. Set up your system right from the start to save a LOT of headaches down the road.
This was a fun video. You could tell ol Cleet was having fun wrenching with the boys again. It had a very early Cleetus / youtube feel. Especially cutting the bolts off the old cab. The variety of content is great and seeing these type of videos sometimes is fun.

Sam repainting a panel on his old cougar in the background!! He's gonna love that cat
For future reference, I think when they said to lift with the doors shut, I think they meant to close the door on the strap, instead of putting the strap through the door. Lifting with the doors closed is generally done to prevent the “tub” from bending under its own weight, the doors help reinforce the rigidity of the cab.
100% this. Also parking brake cables are super strong when your trying to yank apart junk cars
The shifter does come out. Take a pair of pliers and push down on the tin piece at shifter base then turn like an 1/8th turn counter clockwise. Two roll pins old the tin piece in. Tin piece has littler ears and there is a spring under it that keeps tension pushing up so it stays hooked on the roll pins.
I hope they see this, I was going to comment this, but I see a couple guy's besides yourself that know how it comes out
I think this is by far the best and most relatable content I've seen in years, holy hell lol yall are amazing
Love the VGG references in this video and the first video. Love the Squirrel nick name. Should of listened to Dereck gas ax suggestion. Might have gone quicker but might now been able to get it into the parking lot. Love what Cleet said. "may have lost a friendship but we now have a budget." Derek might haggle with you given the deception but it will not cost the friendship. Love both of your channels. Both are a class act!!!!!
We need more of these two doing builds. I havent laughed this hard in awhile. Throws the brake clean can at it like Peg would lol 😂
i retract my previous statement, stick a cut in half crownvic on the shorter dually frame with it closed off as a cab, keep the 6.2 in it an find or make a wrecker body for it.. have a diesel dually tow pig crown vic for the freedom factory along side the restored og flatbed, best of both worlds!
The phone conversation with Derek had me in stitches lmao
DEAD!!!!!! When the ol small block fell off the forks I LITERALLY DIED! MADE MY DAY
Dude Cleetus just had him a Peggin Leggin moment! The spray, the the can toss, perfectly done!
Haha I thought the same exact thing. Perfect opportunity to comment “You don’t need that for what we’re doing” @ziptiesandbiasplies
Watching Cleetus & George working on this old square body is way too entertaining 😂
This is the stuff I miss with you guys. The other shop shenanigans were legendary.
OSHA watching this like 👁️👄👁️
George laughing behind camera the whole time is just the best 🤣
I know this vid was more of a comedic way to cab swap a truck and they are more than capable of doing it correctly. But for anyone doing this: always use a lift to remove the cab and an induction heater or some heat source for the cab bolts. 👍
I love how creative your ads are! Every other youtube channel has ads that are very boring and I always end up skipping ahead to the end of the ad, but you guys actually make me want to watch the ads! Keep it up!
Seeing the mighty Holden Ute finally on the channel and getting a new heart instead of lurking in the background makes me so happy and so proud big love from down under ❤️🇦🇺
i love the give aways! its so uplifting to see cleetus just light up and smile when hes talking to his winners. just makes you feel happy :)
The three guys standing there laughing is great. Nothing like watching your boss royally F something up but knowing you’ll probably have to fix it.
Watching these two work on something is the best thing I have ever seen😂
Love it when you guys actually make longer videos the short videos are cool on some stuff but I like it when you guys actually do fun stuff like this takes us back to the old days
A vice grip style video with these two would be gold😂
This is amazing content. Gives me the vibe of when the channel started.
as if there wasn't enough merch ideas. please o please drop a "how about now" -squirrel shirt or hat idea. that anticipation leading up until nothing was pure comedy gold. love you guys
We need weekly cleeter and squirrel 🐿️ videos! This is great content
PLEASE make this a video series!!! Squirrel and Cleet Garage!
"It can't be tight if it's liquid, get the gas axe out" - That's good advise right there. Bring out the torch!
Cleetur and squirrel, I think is my new favorite mini series 😂😂😂😂
more George and Cleetus content. the chemistry and dynamic is great. easily one of my favorite vids on the channel
Gloria is the perfect name for the tow rig 😂
This is some of the most glorious shade tree mechanicing I have ever witnessed on the Cleetus channel. It was superb!
I love the shop shennanigans you guys are adding into the videos....It's so familiar to me and makes it even more enjoyable!
This series is awesome love to see cleet get back to his grass roots pretty awesome
This has to be my new favorite series's on this channel! Pure gold!
*_45:01_**_ 😅🤣🤣🤣🤣"Ohhhh, could play the guitar on that baaaaby!!!" ""OHHHH, Thought that was a Rattlesnake!!!"_*
Lil nervous seeing a 50 min video but hard laughs the ENTIRE video! Love seeing you guys goof off
Finally the Holden is looking mint with the fresh Texas Speed LS installed.
Really to rip some burnouts, run some times and even be a shop truck if you want.
the ship-station commercials are so cheesy gotta love 'em! HAHA! Hell Yeah Brother!
So I worked at Pascagoula auto salvage Clet. This is how we did every truck we pulled motors out of. It's best to have a big fork lift with really big forks. We cabbed every 5.4 Ford truck. Cab bolts spin when they don't come out. We would torch them if they spun.
Niceeee.. I lived in Grand Bay, AL for years and would pass by that salvage yard all the time when headed to college in Gautier
100% need more cleet and squirrel Projects!
LS George n Cleeter is the BEST combo ever 🤣🤣🤣
My 7 year old daughter saw them lifting the engine out with the forklift and said I’ve helped do that a bunch of times daddy. It looks like the same engine. A tear came to my eye.
Adventures of cleet and squirrel should be a channel on CZcams.
SM465 transmission will probably be fine. If you’re just keeping it at the track it’ll probably fine. If you’re going to drive it on the highway at all an nv4500 would be better.
Use a two post lift and strap the cab down using tie downs, then just drive the frame up under the cab on the lift and lower it down onto the mounts. 23:31
32:48 should’ve pulled it into the shop and used the lifts
The Cleeter and Squirrel Live Action Fun Time Power Hour!!!!
I freakin LOVE IT!!!!!
This NEEDS to be a once a week addition to the channel! I think it will double your subscriber numbers in a matter of weeks......how many weeks I'm not too sure of butt I am sure of the hilarity that comes from it!!!
So until next time.....this is Cleeter and Squirrel, done and done!
These videos are what we needed! Cleet and Squirrel on the job. LFG. Highly anticipated
The team is ace , but Cleet & George together are on another level 😂😂😂😂😂
"Did we damage anything?"
Sam: "your're pride!"
Oh that guy is a legend and one of the best additions to the team!
I must say I am in love with what is going on. Right now. The "a team" doing cleatus of new stuff and the "b team" doing cleatus of old.
Don't get me wrong I love where this channel has gone but of course sometimes I miss the old school junk yard cars jerryriggin days..
But getting both.. is a dream. Please keep it up!
FYI.... When you install that PTO, you have to shim it. That is done with gaskets. There is a thick and a thin gasket stack them for proper gear seating
@cleetus for the shifter on those 4 speed transmission if you go to where the pivot join at the bottom of the shaft. Push down and twist and lift them the shifter slides out. Found this out on my 65 Chevy c20. Quick and easy and saves you some pains
Done dozens of cab swaps. Always used a two post lift. First to pick it up and remove the transmission and disconnect everything, then set it down, pull the front clip off and position the pads under the rockers and lift the cab. Roll old chassis out and roll new one under. We built a metal box with wheels on it the same size as the roll deck that we used as a makeshift dump truck bed. Loving the content. This was a lot of cringe to watch, and I think sometimes you do that on purpose!
Yes, it is cringy because they have money to do a decent hot rod ramp truck and parts are easy to find for square bodies. I have a 79 C20 that I have done everything you can think of to and upgraded with great parts probably an easy $7k into the 406 forged and full roller engine, built th400, gear vendors overdrive, disc brakes, factory ac that works great, stereo, you name it. My other one is an 88 K5 Blazer. My trucks are restomods but even if they took the easy route and properly cleaned and painted the frame and built up with decent parts, it could be a very nice and usable truck. This video was too much like the few I have seen from whistlindiesel.
Is there a reason you take the transmission out? I always just take the shifter off or make it go down with the shift boot, but I've only done a couple.
I like to go through the transmission while it's easy to get to. (Unless it's a truck I'm familiar with and know it's okay inside.)
Pls more videos like this. It reminds me of when i was a kid watching u work on ur cars in the driveway:)
"We could sawzall it"
"I don't wanna go under it"
You know they have those extendable chainsaws right?
Just a thought.
I’m here for the shenanigans 😂😂👍🏼 The adventures of Cleet & Squirrel
50 mins of freedom brother
Let’s Go!!🏁🦅🦅
26:03 use the cab for the Best Seats In The house and prop it up to see the race race and put ac and food and drink holders;)
Could do giveaways to sit In the cab
I don’t usually laugh out loud when watching stuff but this series is absolute gold
This build is sick. I love ramp trucks and rollbacks
Best part is, the Holden Commodore thunder, comes with an LS1 factory. Just hit us Aussies up and grab everything you could need.
Ole Jorge out here touched a bolt broke a bolt, left grill exactly where it fell, cant bother myself im ovr here cordin. that boy out here 2puttin greens hittin par for course. watch out boys!!
Cleet, George and VGG- the collab we're all waiting for!!!
The more I see Cleetus turn wrenches, the more I think he's a great driver. Aaaaand hello George!
Man what would we all do without your channel! Love this new cleeter squirrel content 😂
For the shifter you push down on the ball and turn it(the ball at base of shifter). The whole shifter will pull out of the trans, make sure it’s in neutral otherwise it’s a pain to get it back in.
43:35 The three faces of "I can't WAIT to say 'I told you so'" 😂
@36:53 George knows the exact comedic timing on when to turn the camera to the cab and engine 💀💀
Literally the best crew on CZcams.
Gloria is PERFECT lol Glory for short. Did it hurt anything? Sam: Your pride
One of the best pre-video advertisements for Ship Station of all time. Great job George!
You guys really aughta drill a 1 1/4” hole in the ends of each fork and get some tapered pins for them so when you are picking up slung loads, you can be sure it won’t slide off the end. You can also throw a to ball on each fork through that hole for moving trailers easily.
Every darn time Brent comes into the shot smiling from Ear to Ear Its infectious!
The transmission is a SM465 and there damn near bullet proof. The shift lever comes off super easy you just push down on the cup and turn it a quarter turn to dissengage it from the roll pins on top of the shift plate.
I've never talked to so many unknown numbers hoping it's Cleetus calling. The AC130 going to a USAF member couldn't be more perfect though!
We all know george from before he came here full time; did we ever think he would be the absolute Legend that he is? No one could have predicted the awesomeness that George brings to the table. Really is the best crew of skill and comedy ya could get anywhere.
man if cleetus and george wasnt super busy id love to see these two go out and try to do revive and drives, give cleetus a chance to show he knows what he's doing😎👍
"Yeah, I'll bring it back down a little bit." Good job squirrel, good lookin out for cleet.
Glad to see George more in front of the camera these days. You guys done well recruiting him into the cool club.
Just a tip from the North where rust is on every single vehicle 😂 use heat and penetrating oil on stuck bolts. Soak the bolts the night before you work on it and if that doesnt work. Use a torch to heat it up
I’ve been calling the boys SQUIRREL 🐿️ for years!! Lived hearing you say it!!!
Cleetus and George projects are unhinged hack jobs, and I am here for it! Hilarious
You guys should start classes on how to do cab swaps. Craftsmanship at its finest boys.
You should have it wrapped to look like the old one with the checkered flag, it looked sick!
Gosh I love George--he deserves a raise. Oh yeah and Ty deserves a raise
Induction heater is your best friend. Have issues pulling cab blots even on new stuff due to the amount of lock tight they out on em.
George absolutely loves his job you can hear it in his laughs
This needs to become a normal program. Even travel to TN to to it with VGG Derrick!!! Yall would be an awesome collaboration!!!!!
The induction heater nut buster works wonders on cab bolts. Or the pneumatic torque multiplier ease them right out.
The look on ty,zac and James faces is gold those are some supportive friends
