I think that this Seiko is a good watch but the overall design and the bezel colour and dial texture is not for me. Many thanks for another great video and for sharing.
What is interesting is the pricepoint at which they are able to manufacture a true gmt… on the other hand the border between Seiko and Grand Seiko is narrowing. I feel there is more and more overlap between those two making GS less desirable maybe? What they never should have done is used springdrive in Seiko. For me springdrive is GS. I would rather see them doing Seiko and King Seiko where KS is the other competing look for Seiko, differentiating the brands in a more acceptable way…
I’ve always been quite curious of those Spring Drive Seiko models indeed. It’s likely because the association was GS only was never intended by Seiko. Under GS it does get quite the cachet while under Seiko it’s like… quartz.
Like the bezel, true gmt and finish pretty good, but not much else, esp the dial looks like some 70s ceiling finish and the date hmm (would look better with the spb213 type dial and drop the pwr ind and go regular date at 6)
The colours on the rehaut. shouldn't the dark blue be at the evening/night section on the top of the dial and the lighter white be at the daytime hours?
Interesting! Speaking of dial work, have you seen the Citizen 8 830? It's quite expensive for what it is, but I find the dial much more interesting than the Sharp Edge.
Who needs a Fitbit to remind you to move/go for a walk, when you have a power reserve indicator on a Seiko showing how inactive one is! ;)
If anything it’s an indication of one’s own power reserve when you think about it…

the seiko dial pattern is perfectly centred on the watch while the significantly more expensive zenith felipe pantone has random pattern on the bezel
