A Scam Victim's Story - Losing $35,000 To A Job Scam In Singapore

- Scams are becoming increasingly common in Singapore, and scammers are getting smarter, making more elaborated scams to trick their victims into giving up their money. Strangely, Singapore seems to be a hotspot target for scams. Today's video is a special one as I'll be interviewing a friend who recently got scammed of her life savings when she was looking to earn additional income. Thankfully, she is willing to share her story to warn others of job scams like these.
Its just so scary how scams can happen to anyone at anytime. Just remember, there is no such thing as easy money.

Honestly, I was one of the victims of this scam. I lost RM 10,000 with hope of having part time job, when I was unemployed. I fell into depression and have been blaming myself for what happened.
Really sorry for you loss. I know how you feel. It really sucks but keep your head up. Start over and one day you will look back and be happy you gave yourself another chance. I’m a victim too

Ive been contacted by 6 different groups with this exact scam. The trick is to block them after they let you withdraw the first time and keep their money
Fun Fact, the people in the group chat together with you. Assuming there are 20 people in the chats. Probably more than 15 are scammers including you. So those screenshooting their withdrawals are also just scammers trying to convince you that this is real.
Exactly. I think they all scammers in the group. Including the supposedly new ones that come after whoever they victimize

I was in a similar scam from HK just few days back. I'm sorry for your loss, i lost about 2k HKD on this scam, and they are still trying to sue me since i left mid way.

Does the lawsuit by the scam company actually go through aftermath?
i'm using new platform similar to this. they told me that we are doing app store optimization and now i can't finish my task because the money i need to deposit is very big. first i deposit 500 the 800,1600 and now 3877. so i stopped now and not continue anymore. i lost 3k sgd :(
just tries to search for this "app optimization scam" and i came across this video. I also got scammed and lost about 60,000 pesos and was never able to retrieve my savings anymore coz i dont have enuf money to contiue.

She seem to live in a well off area, hopefully it was not too big an impact on her finances

If you ever get such scam telegram job ad. Remember to always ask them transfer money first, get your free $100 from them then block them!
Or if you are added to telegram group - troll the group so that anyone added to that telegram group knows they are scam group
I fell for a similar thing recently but instead it was called cryptocurrency hyping and they had their own website and group on telegram. They needed 4 transactions each time asking more and more money if I wanted my deposit back. When I sent the money to my their account it would update on the site in my "balance" which made me believe it was reliable. I should have found this channel first would have saved money and my sanity.
