Driver, good footage. As a driver myself, I needed to be reminded that things happen out of ordinary driving conditions. Also, kudos to you for maintaining a great safe following distance. Most people don't...as you can see.
I agree the first part of the video shows the traffic moving fine but by the 2:00 mark traffic is bunched up and i wonder if someone brake checked .? Did anyone else notice at the start of the video how far the white semi was and with in two minutes the truck with dash cam caught with it.Looked like the white van got hit too.?
onebigkahuna69, you made me look again. You're right: Looks like the white van got popped, too, but that didn't keep him from continuing on! I am more surprised, though, that the trucker didn't go with his initial reaction to stop and offer help or an eyewitness statement; he also kept driving!
He might of pulled over to the shoulder so he wouldn't get hit? Did you notice how long the white van rode the shoulder before getting back on the interstate.?
onebigkahuna69, yes, I noticed. But as for the trucker, it's part of his training to stop and help--if he can and if the accident is critical (this one doesn't seem to be). Also, I understand that being under a load deadline could prevent a professional driver from stopping, and sometimes it simply isn't safe for a truck to stop. But in this case, he has camera evidence that will help insurance claims, so I would have expected him to wait for the authorities.
Everyone in such a damn hurry with the need to ride each others rears as if that will make a difference in getting to their destination quicker! When I see conditions like this where I'm about to be stuck in one of these speed traffic lines I get the hell off the highway ASAP!
Be sure to post 25 minutes of nothing before the crash in your next video. The first 2 1/2 minutes of nothing here was just so riveting that I need 10x more of this initial nothing in the future.
For new pro drivers,Unless you see injuries or are involved DIRECTLY DO NOT STOP as all people will remember "brand X " was involved I saw them right there!
Would it be alright with you Mr.Pluto to use this clip in my upcoming road madness compilation on my channel? Credit, links in the description, and name on the screen, as always will be provided. Look forward to your response.
I think texting is the reason for this incident. Some people will never going to understand consequences of texting during driving. Anyway pluto max, would you mind If I feature this video in a educational compilation from my main channel MegaDrivingSchool with credit and link to you? Thank you in Advance!
These types of dummys need their license taken away for the rest of their lives. If they can cause an accident on a straightaway with plenty of warning to slow down then they will never be able to comprehend how to drive, and if they weren't paying attention that's even more reason to lose their license
Hi Pluto, awesome catch! Is it alright if I use this clip in my upcoming compilation? Credit and links in the description, as always will be provided. Look forwards to your response. Thanks!
The guy driving the truck that got hit was fine a car can hit the back of a truck going pretty fast without damage luckily the truck wasnt at a dead stop or it would have been worse
Who cares about the editing if you don't like it then move on. Also, when I was in driver Ed class we learned don't tailgate and leave a car length in front of you and the car ahead. When you get bunched up like that move back and leave space. Also, the white van is a runner...must not have insurance and or a license. If that's the case then you have no business being on the road.
Car length becomes irrelevant, when people cram into that space on you. It happened all the time, when I was driving to work, at the mainline junction from one freeway to the other! People in such a hurry they'd cram in between cars that barely fit. Many accidents happened at that exchange!!!
Its supposed to be 1 car length for every 10mph you drive so 70mph is 7 car length but no one drives this way in reality everyone seems to drive with no regard for the other person its literally a time bomb ticking
For driving a car I was taught the 2+ second rule and for driving a truck I was taught the 4+ second rule. I drove my first truck in the Army in 1975 and have driven a truck of some sort in three different countries and have yet to rear end another vehicle but I have been rear ended.
mabby the throttle controle gismo went biserk, & driver was not able to snap outa the trance peeople get into on long drives. happened to me, turned key off.
How about if I'm in the left lane passing and going about 10 over the speed limit and an asshole going 20 over the speed limit comes up and tailgates. People need to obey the speed limit. And there are about 7 cars in front of this guy, so it's his fault for getting hit from behind? Seriously?
NEED TO L@@K ! THE TRUCK ,DID NOT CLOSE THE TAIL GATE GOOD,SO IT OPEN AND A "DOLLY" OR IS ALSO CALLED " HAND TRUCK " FELT OUT ON THE ROAD AND MADE THE F-UP TO HAPPEN!
Happens alot of times when I think about it. If you set your cruise control and then accelerates further, when you let go of the gas the speed will drop until that set point and the resume.
Thats what happens when your not paying attention to the road. Its a shame people dont take that texting or period bein on the phone while driving seriously. Alot of people die from stuff like this that can be easily avoided. I cant stand when somebody goes the messing with the radio or their cell on while under the wheel. That makes me nervous
Hey pluto max, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) 🙂 Cheers, Felix
Hi, pluto! Can I have your permission to include this video in my US compilation? (with onscreen name of your channel and link to your original video) Thanks in advance!

Man that guy hit him with like he was not paying attention at all looking down at his phone probably texting
How do you know it was a guy ???? 9 times out of 10 when I see someone texting while driving, IT'S A WOMAN !
Everyone in such a damn hurry with the need to ride each others rears as if that will make a difference in getting to their destination quicker! When I see conditions like this where I'm about to be stuck in one of these speed traffic lines I get the hell off the highway ASAP!
Darn. It was such a nice day, too.
At the 2:05 mark, the rear-end wreck happens.
Texting.
+Art Lovell You're probably right. Texting.

Or, your ignorant ass could simply scroll ahead to the "action"...
Crash just follows 2:00.
Thank you
I literally drive the same interstate going the same way to work and remember this wreck. Lol
The crash starts after 2:00 minutes

It’s called editing
Is this interstate 65??
I travel on that road everyday and I’ve seen a wreck there before it wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t good
See what happens when you travel too close, and going too fast? Someone in front of you fucks up, and you're cooked!

Cruz accelerates after slowing down for no apparent reason
He made a major error has anyone heard of the 2 second rule?

Did anyones brake lights work ??
Nuts to butts...thats how we drive.

Damn that made me nervous

One car length is not nearly enough.
Six to eight.. more as speed increases.

Have to love tailgating.

Looking at your mobile device instead of the road will introduce your front end to the next guys ass.
It's just a matter of time.
Its rear end
2:04
2:00 mark. Looks like the cruise control kicked back on unexpectedly.

U have to be trying hard to wreck on 459 lmao
wernt u supposed to stop
Sleepy
Yo I just killed you in fortnite
Ever heard of editing? 🤔
Ever hear of FFD?
waist of time showing all that video before the crash.
Kevin McIntosh/ You wasted your time in school because apparently you didn’t learn anything during spelling.
Two minutes at beginning is wasted dead air. Learn to edit.
It's not wasted at all! Look and laugh at the car at 0:09!
Yes, because it's SO hard to FF a CZcams video. SMH
Arkansas drivers lol
A 3:00 clip, but nothing happens till 2:08. Poor editing.
Lmao 3 min video for 2 second wreck
*Yawn*
