      Honestly she should have been the main character of the show and it feels like a giant miscalculation of the writers not to make her the focus. The personal journey ark of 456 was complete by the end of the season, he got revenge for Ali and made the tragic decision to kill his childhood friend/personal hero. It's a nice story, but needs no continuation imo. Her story on the other hand was just beginning, her experience with the other girl in the game was transformative to the core and there was no reason to randomly kill her off like that in order to focus on another one in a long list of aging dude protagonists with ridiculous haircuts

    Fun fact: Korean phone numbers are 11 digits, pretty close to the US ones length-wise. Squid Game had to change the original phone numbers on the name card in their post-streaming production due to the claims from some unfortunate people that coincidentally had the same phone number to the card's one and got so many random phone calls from all over the world. That is why it's got only a 6-digit-number on the show right now.

    The notes at the beginning of the main song theme are taken from a 13th century Gregorian chant called dies Irae. It is a song used in Catholic funerals, so it causes anguish. It is used in many films, such as at the moment of Mufasa's death, where Luke discovers the death of his uncles or at the beginning of The Shining when the car runs on the snowy road. Even the construction of the adjacent notes is in descendants is made to distress.

    Everyone gets angry at Sang Woo in episode 3, but I always felt like he was hesitant because he was unsure. It's one of those moments where someone just doesn't have confidence in their own suspicions so they don't want to voice them. Should he have? Probably. But I don't think it was intentionally screwing over his teammates.

      @Jay-ate-a-bug Před 2 lety

      @@rodvincetolosa9386 Don't overgeneralize. Not all Americans are the same. In this instance it is a generational thing. I come from the Loony Toons generation where Cartoons are funny and for children to watch. Many others in my generation see animation in the same light because they see it as a cartoon, not a medium for anything else. They are wrong, of course, but old habits and ways of thinking do not go away overnight.

No spoilers of course, but I heard an interesting bit of speculation on a podcast that reviewed this show - the theory is that the red-suited staff members are those people who picked the red card in the recruitment game with the face slapping instead of the blue card. I think that makes A LOT of sense, but who knows? Maybe that'll be revealed in S2??
