We are beyond excited to visit Iceland this November (2022). I have viewed so many of your videos, some over and over. I got the packing list, crampons, and purchased your google map of the ring. This has been so helpful in getting ourselves ready for the trip. You are an amazing wealth of information, and in a fun way. Very entertaining! I wish there was a way my husband and I could meet you to thank you personally for helping us plan our trip. Maybe we'll be lucky and see you around town posting more informative fun videos. :)

You were right! The weather does change on a dime. We had a fabulous time! We visited many falls, Gullfoss was AMAZING!!! The Food Walk and the Beer Walk were sooo much fun! We learned a lot about Icelandic foods (I wasn’t a fan of the fermented shark), when beer came to Iceland, and met lots of new friends. I loved the Lobster Stew at the Sea Baron restaurant, and my husband loved the Artic Char at the Messinn restaurant. We visited the Perlan Museum, learned about the volcanos, and walked through an ice cave. FlyOver Iceland took my breath away, a must see! We walked the Rainbow Road, shopped for goodies, and bought my daughter a Lopapeysa at the Handknitting store. Went to the top of the Hallgrimskirkja church and viewed the beautiful city of Reykjavik. We learned the story about the cat in the center of town. I hope you bought new clothes for your son! 😊 Thank you for helping us enjoy our visit to Iceland. You informational and fun videos made it possible!!

Hi Jeannie! Just got back from Iceland... (sept 28th to oct 5th 2019) Had a Greatest Time.. Your map was the key for my son and I to see 55 sites. We did not rush thru them either! We stayed in Reykjavik, and drove to the west and south coast to see the sites. Your hidden sites add to the fun.And true to your statement most were empty of people. Got VERY lucky to see the Northern Lights 3 times. I thought the weather on Longisland, N.Y. U.S.A. was crazy but you were right! We got a taste of it all while there. But we were ready thanks to your information.
Also as a bonus as you travel the roads, try to stop at the small places to eat. had some of the best food out on the road! thou we never had a bad meal in Iceland! Love your YouTub videos Very informative and fun to watch. Thanks again for your hard work.!

So, as I understand, in Iceland, winters last from the end of October through the end of April; the first signs of Spring occur at the end of April/beginning of May; then, summers last from the end of June through the end of August; and, finally, at the end of August/beginning of September, it, gradually, starts getting cold, again.

Hi Jeannie, Thanks for all the details in the video. I plan to visit Iceland around 18-21 Nov 2023. Is it safe to use a rental car to navigate around? In the Boston area, we are used to driving in snow conditions but I am not sure if the skills are transferred over or do we need to be prepared for something specific. Also, if not a rental car, what are the alternative modes of transportation? Your advise is much appreciated - DJ
