We are beyond excited to visit Iceland this November (2022). I have viewed so many of your videos, some over and over. I got the packing list, crampons, and purchased your google map of the ring. This has been so helpful in getting ourselves ready for the trip. You are an amazing wealth of information, and in a fun way. Very entertaining! I wish there was a way my husband and I could meet you to thank you personally for helping us plan our trip. Maybe we'll be lucky and see you around town posting more informative fun videos. :)
Take care, and the best to you, your husband, and your adorable son! (Costco video)
You are so welcome, Diane, happy I could be a part of your Iceland experience! 😊 Have a great trip and tag me in your stories so I can follow along!
Likewise, will be visiting Iceland this month and cant wait to pack :) thanks for your invaluable information
You were right! The weather does change on a dime. We had a fabulous time! We visited many falls, Gullfoss was AMAZING!!! The Food Walk and the Beer Walk were sooo much fun! We learned a lot about Icelandic foods (I wasn’t a fan of the fermented shark), when beer came to Iceland, and met lots of new friends. I loved the Lobster Stew at the Sea Baron restaurant, and my husband loved the Artic Char at the Messinn restaurant. We visited the Perlan Museum, learned about the volcanos, and walked through an ice cave. FlyOver Iceland took my breath away, a must see! We walked the Rainbow Road, shopped for goodies, and bought my daughter a Lopapeysa at the Handknitting store. Went to the top of the Hallgrimskirkja church and viewed the beautiful city of Reykjavik. We learned the story about the cat in the center of town. I hope you bought new clothes for your son! 😊 Thank you for helping us enjoy our visit to Iceland. You informational and fun videos made it possible!!
Your guide was very helpful in planning the best trip of my life.
That's awesome to hear, Brian! Thanks so much for letting me be a part of it!!!
Thank you ! you saved my trip ! Im going in November!
I will be going to Iceland in November for 10 nights(4 weeks time) staying in Reykjavik. 5 all day tours are booked, as well as the Blue lagoon(plus coach transfer there and back) and I shale book the Northern Lights tours when I'm there(so to keep an eye on N/L activity and cloud cover for the best nights!). Can't wait its going to be AWESOME
Love your channel(so informative)
How is it!?
My birthday month 👍🏻.
Hi Jeannie! Just got back from Iceland... (sept 28th to oct 5th 2019) Had a Greatest Time.. Your map was the key for my son and I to see 55 sites. We did not rush thru them either! We stayed in Reykjavik, and drove to the west and south coast to see the sites. Your hidden sites add to the fun.And true to your statement most were empty of people. Got VERY lucky to see the Northern Lights 3 times. I thought the weather on Longisland, N.Y. U.S.A. was crazy but you were right! We got a taste of it all while there. But we were ready thanks to your information.
Also as a bonus as you travel the roads, try to stop at the small places to eat. had some of the best food out on the road! thou we never had a bad meal in Iceland! Love your YouTub videos Very informative and fun to watch. Thanks again for your hard work.!
Thank you SOOO much! I love hearing these kinds of stories, makes what I do worth it every time! 😊
very practical and helpful !
Good looking out!
Please do a guide for December. Im going to Iceland in mid December. Love all your videos
Coming out soon! Stay tuned!
Jeannie you really should try "Fly Over Iceland" it's really fun
Yay!!! Beautiful country
Thank you so much for your great videos. We’ve just returned from a Monday to Friday trip and it just wasn’t long enough! We had to laugh at how inappropriately tourists were dressed and their lack of warm and sensible clothes
Thank you so much! I'm glad you find my videos helpful!
Singing voice, wow, very good.
Good evening, we are planning a first time trip to Iceland in December are have a question regarding the boot grips. Will they be a problem going through customs due to the sharpness? I also imagine they’ll be easy to pick up in Iceland, but just wondering which is the cheaper option?
Watched a few of your videos so far, love your work!!
So, as I understand, in Iceland, winters last from the end of October through the end of April; the first signs of Spring occur at the end of April/beginning of May; then, summers last from the end of June through the end of August; and, finally, at the end of August/beginning of September, it, gradually, starts getting cold, again.
Yep, already been there in end of August, beginnings of September (last year) and also want to see it covered in Snow! Just the driving part that makes me a little more nervous :P. Maybe get a friend who is used to drive in the snow :)
BlessBless I am in iceland rn! Any tips we have been to The Museum of The early parlament blablabla something and in reiykjavik!
here because im going in november :D
Are you referring to the first week of November? Do you think i can still travel well enough on the first week of November like I can travel in October? Reason im asking is bc I will be travelling to Iceland this year on end of Oct and early of Nov.
You are amazing!!! I had given up on Iceland because we could only fit in a trip in November. But you make me excited about November there. We live in Minnesota so cold and icy roads are okay. What is the rainbow map!!
Yay! Thanks Cindy! Iceland is awesome no matter what time of year. Even through awful weather and dwindling daylight, the magic of Iceland can always be felt!
I know you recommend yak tracks for your shoes. There’s so many different ones I’m confused, there’s hiking and walking combo, just hiking and just walking. Which one should I choose? My grandsons and Son and I are going in November. This grandma does not want to fall. Thank you
Geothermal heat energy utilization might solve sidewalk icing problems.
I can’t wait for May if there hasn’t been a May month!
I did do one for May, here you go! czcams.com/video/sQCQvbhhGUM/video.html
How much money would i need for a week as thinking about booking my Trip for my birthday this year also is car hire needed or can i get around visiting without driving don't like driving on holiday
Hi Jeannie, Thanks for all the details in the video. I plan to visit Iceland around 18-21 Nov 2023. Is it safe to use a rental car to navigate around? In the Boston area, we are used to driving in snow conditions but I am not sure if the skills are transferred over or do we need to be prepared for something specific. Also, if not a rental car, what are the alternative modes of transportation? Your advise is much appreciated - DJ
So excited you get to visit Iceland! Here are a few posts to help you understand Winter in Iceland: icelandwithaview.com/tag/all-about-winter/
hit you with the big thumbs up
Will Yaktrax work instead of crampons?
Hi, is there a possibilty to ski, like in austria ?
Is January weather basically the same?
What do you highly recommend buying, at 3:37? A local pesa? What is that and how does it keep you warm?
She says "lopapeysa". It's a kind of traditional Icelandic sweater.
Only 🇮🇸 Iceland 🇮🇸 💪
where in iceland can i buy one of those knitted sweaters? i'm obsessed with them
Valentina Prida Pretty much everywhere! There’s a shop called Geysir which had nice ones and there’s the Hand Knitting Association of Iceland that’s worth looking into, otherwise pretty much every tourist/souvenir shop including some big petrol stations!
@@tuffin2 Thanks! I'll look for those places when I go to Iceland next year
Is it still the same now with covid?
Have just booked a last minute trip to Iceland for 4 days today to travel…….tomorrow. Crazy I know but this country draws me back as I love it so much. This vlog is so helpful ❤️🇮🇸
Awesome! We go on the 20th!
@@TomBotchii have a great time. Have loved my 4 days. Visited South Iceland, Snaellfesnes Peninsula and Reykjavik. Best country in the world 🇮🇸❤️
@@welshlad6427 Thank you!! Any tips??! What can we not miss?
@@TomBotchii got many tips. How long are you going for? Are you hiring a car? Are you based in Reykjavik or have you booked in other areas?
@@welshlad6427 Staying in Rekyjavik and without a car - should we rent one? Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!!
Wow. Iceland doesn't have Thanksgiving, I wonder why?🤔🤔🤔
When is the best time to see the northern lights in Iceland n Also i can visit all the sightseen........???????
Generally September and October are ideal times, but you can also find them throughout the winter months because of the reduced daylight hours.
If I plan to visit Norway,Sweden,Finland with Iceland then how much does this trip cost (Without Flight fair).......?????? TIA.......!!!!!!!!!!
Is it possible that the ring road will be closed in the North in November? Or just secondary roads?
The Ring Road is generally open year round. The only time there may be a closure is due to a severe storm, but the entire Ring Road is generally well kept year round.
November in iceland or iceland in november?
Snowvember in Iceland? LOL
Pretty much! 😉
Does anybody experienced whale watching in November?
