Ten years ago, Jessa Crisp escaped her last trafficker. If there is one thing that her life says is the reality that although healing is a life long process, it is possible. 2017 will forever be the year that Jessa shared her story on camera for the first time, on our platform, in greater detail, giving hope to SO many men and women from all around the world. Sharing her story might have been one of the most challenging experiences of her life.
Many have complained about low sound issues in the original video and so we have decided to fix it and now it's much better. In this movie--for those who haven't watched--Jessa has bravely recounted how she overcame a childhood of being gang raped, sexually abused by family members and trafficked. Her abuse started aged 10 in her home country of Canada where she was molested by members of her own family. As a child, she was made to pose for pornographers, had to perform degrading sex acts and was raped in front of the cameras.
Some people might be recognizing Jessa because of her story. Jessa does not want to be defined by her past, she wants to share her story, however, she doesn't want to be known for it. For us, Jessa Crisp is a victor and and a role model: she shows what it means to be a strong, resilient human being. She keeps chasing her dreams, and never gives up. We are proud to announce that Jessa is now officially graduated with her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. BRAVO.

I just can’t wrap my head around this , I just can’t comprehend how the “PARENTS “ do this to their own children ! Do these monsters ever get punished, do they ever get done away with, why aren’t there tougher laws I’m so angry and sad every time I come across such an atrocity which unfortunately is very often!
I wonder why it isn’t noticed by other family members, doctors, teachers etc. These children must bear physical scars as well as mental trauma.
These monsters, I mean, her so-called "parents" must be punished according to the law. They must be immediately arrested and taken to court. Pay attention: she's got siblings! Maybe it's too late to talk about this because they are adults now. But they may have been sexually abused, too!

Yes they get away with all of it. Nasty selfish broken animalistic immature persons who should be locked up. Police arent helpful or interested. Trying to tell police can be humiliating and hurtful as you spill your guts and what proof does an adult child have of child sex trafficking? My wholechildhood i was told to "shut up" "Dont you dare say that" "You dreamt it." etc.
Take notice for the past years of previous administration focus was on trafficking watch that go away now ...
I JUST WANT TO SAY HOW IMPRESSED I AM THAT SHE STILL HAS A POSITIVE OUTLOOK ON THE FUTURE, most wouldn't have made it through what she made it through much less have a positive outlook on the future. The idea of a child being sexually abused is horrific. The idea that family passes you around to others and sells you for sex is unthinkable. I can honestly say that I wouldn't have survived the experiences this young woman endured. Her strength and courage is amazing.

I don't understand what it is to not survive...I mean that is part of it...you are alive, therefore you survive? Iḿ not a victim of this or anything, but we live through things unless we kill ourselves, right? I see her that she is a survivor and she is strong, and she is making good, and she has a deep soul, but Iḿ sure you have a deep soul too
IF you're locked in a family that their morals are different from yours it can be hell. I learned to push away but the memory was locked because I didn't want to believe it until I was much older since that happened at 14. Later developed my mind to pull away but I was in a sense a slave to work normal jobs to support my mother who was a narcissistic sociopath. It was hard not to feel responsible for her lack of education but I continue to struggle until I finally got out at 28 and got a loan and eventually left my family to have a better life and did.
@@Omar_05 pretty obvious from the video. The woman who slipped her the original paper, helped her realise she could just walk out the door. Probably helped her with her plane ticket too. In a more violent, locked up situation, she probably wouldn’t have been able to leave so easily.
Having lived that way forever likely i thinkthey thought she would never live and had accepted her reality so she wasn’t locked or anything.

Yes, I agree, but she is strong, and driven, she will overcome her hurts! She has a goal, & her mind set on what it is she needs to do!! I can see that! I have been in her position, but I wasn't in the slightest sense aware that I was being used by men, by my exes family or my ex himself somehow exploiting me! It may not have even been them! It may have been a friend who supposedly went to prison, but not for a minor drug charge, but more for extorting women and unsuspecting girls like me? She sure wasn't the only friend that did it. I actually think it was a few friends that did it. I am baffled by the chain of events, it makes me see how used and manipulated I must have been by these people. Some of these girls never even see an out to all this. I did just like her, but mine was like a different kind of exploitation 24/7. Such as reality TV? But for online pornography?! Not cool man, not cool at all. Then they should be paying up for all the years, I received nothing nada zilch. So much fraud and deception.
I also want to say, that I hope and pray and believe that my ex husband did not abuse any of our 3 children sexually. I honestly don't think he would do something like that. I am actually worried it is someome in the step dads family, or possibly even the step daddy himself! But if that is the case, than the older so called son, my exes half brother, and maybe my ex mother in law, might have played a role in all this mess now too! Theres no telling what I will do, if I find out one of them, any of them, abused my daughter and my two sons. All I can say is they better fucking run from me! Cause when and if I ever hear or find any of that out, they are going to never be within the same country as me and my children. I will get the hounds of hell, like the US Marshalls on all the perverts! Or like a friends husband, or ex husband?!

I can see so much pain in her eyes. As a Mental health support worker I've heard so many stories that are beyond my comprehension. I'm glad she's move forward for a brighter future. I always say this to the patients " Your past does not dictate your future".

He has threatened my child and me with the police to keep my mouth shut. Still am so worried about this girl, she was screaming at 3 in the morning and not one time.

Exploitation of broken abused people is one of the most atrocious acts on earth, yet so common but NEVER acknowledged as being a problem at all by our so-called psych professionals
Psychology department has a history of exploiting people especially women. I think I was suggested this video on youtube because I was just watching Augustine online. It is a French movie but it's quite clear how it elaborates the ridiculous narrative that a 14 year old had "hysteria" due to suppressed sexual desires, when it is known in history that she was sexually abused at 10 and raped at 13. Her seizures had to due flashbacks and trauma of being raped. Instead of acknowledging this, the doctor made devices to force penetrate her with the help of other male doctors. Yet, the movie turns her into a seductress faking fits and eventually seducing her old doctor into sex. This is the narrative that media continues to tell of women. Movie was made in 2012.

I felt for her. I was been sold by my own brother abroad. I survived and made me wiser and smarter but the character I built haunting me at night when I am alone for I am so traumatized and vulnerable. It’s hard to cry and hug myself alone. It’s hard to shout in silence but for my son I have to embrace every morning with smile and being tough. But honestly it’s hard and until now I still have nightmares.

I have so many thoughts listening to this young lady story. My first thought is that it’s so unbelievable to believe that someone’s family would do this, but unfortunately it happens. Second, that as human beings we would Inflict so much trauma on each other. Third, how resilient the human spirit can be.

I'm in tears hearing her trauma, what was done to her by her own so called parents was outright evil and monstrous. It's really happy to see her out of that hell hole, living a normal happy life. My heart goes out to her. Its really messed up that her own family did that to her. Sex trafficking is a norm that's probably going on right in front of us by regular looking people and we don't even know. They are probably well dressed men and women walking right past us with these children and we never bat an eye because they look "normal". Sad world we live in.

What a sweet person. One of the horrible aspects of this truly disgusting abuse, is that the victim ends up thinking that it’s their fault, or that there is something inherently wrong with them when THEY are the victim. Working with troubled children or abused young adults can be a thankless task. It truly is the sharp end of things. A place where few of us would want to work in any capacity - thank god for people who work in this field. I don’t know why I watched this, but I’m glad that I did. This young lady survived something that many do not. It was deeply heartwarming and moving to hear her story, and a testament to the inner strength that people can draw upon.
I just want to give this beautiful young lady a big hug and tell her, "You matter. You matter to me and you matter to the whole world. I am so blessed to have met you."
It's so hard to fathom...parents, a family..doing this to annnyone!... But their owwwn children?? Pure EVIL. They will live in the very bowels of Hell for all they have done. I'm so glad this woman was strong enough to take a chance n escape. At 21 n just beginning her life. I know it's hard to understand why at 18, 19, 20...an adult, whyyy is she still there allowing this abuse on herself??? But we have to understand this is her FAMILY. This is literally ALLLLL she knew. She didn't realize that this wasn't normal, this poor girl thought this was LIFE. So sad. But sooo exciting to see her free n emerged and finding herself. Your past does not define you.
She allowed nothing. People are social animals, and as children their still plastic brains are hanging out, exposed to be imprinted by loving families or lying predators.

The poor girl wasn't even taken to school, she didn't know how to read.. they do this on purpose so the child and then adult still has to rely on her abusers
Im a leader in a "recovery ministry". Ive heard shocking stories like this...family sponsored crimes. I learned about many anonymous donors who fund safe houses, recovery, changing identity, new starts in life.
She is just so strong. Truly love her for what she did for herself. ❤
